The Birth of a Nation is often incorrectly cited as the first movie ever screened at the White House. That film was screened in 1915, while Cabiria was screened in 1914.

Cryptids in Sevierville, TN

Hi, I am wondering if anyone can tell me what cryptids I should be aware of in Sevierville, TN close to the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area. We are renting a cabin in Sevierville because we are going to visit Dollywood, the Titanic museum, Wonder Works, and The Lost Sea Cave this summer.

I am from Northeast Ohio and I have visited Dollywood before back in 1995 when I was a teen, but we stayed in Pigeon Forge in a hotel. Of course, back then I only knew of the Loch Ness monster, Bigfoot, the Mothman, Chupacapbra, and the Jersey Devil. Now, there's many more thanks to YouTube.

Appreciate all the info, thank you.

Were there any cases where a “lake monster” was actually found or proven to be real?

Most famous lake monster stories around the world remain mysteries, with little or no solid evidence behind them.

However, there have been a few interesting cases where these lake monsters turned out to be true or finally discovered.

One example is the giant turtle associated with legends in a lake in Vietnam, while there was a lake monster who turned out to be giant beast turtle which was discovered when the lake was drained.

This made me curious...... are there any cases where a supposed “lake monster” was eventually found or proven to be true?

Would love to know your insights and perspectives on this.

Is this proof that Ogopogo exist?

Sonar pictures of serpent-eel creatures by Billy Steciuk expedition in lake Okanagan. I'm skeptical about all lake monster sightings, but I open for the possibility of unknown animals IF there are strong evidences.

Amateur teen looking for advice to get rid of what i believe is a pale-crawler

Hey i'm a thirteen year old boy from Kansas i was at my grandmas house when i was asked to turn of the hose that was filling our pool when i go out i hear a noise not quite human but definitely not an animal the closest think i could compare it two was someone pretending to be an owl but it was too good then i hear something rustle in the bushes in the tree line behind her house i run inside and get a flash light from her i was trying to tell her about it and she saw i was scared out of my mind so she came out and sat on the porch well i shut the hose off as i walk up to the porch to go inside i hear the noise again (i forgot to mention when i went out the second time i saw something almost human on her shed fly away it was prob a bird but just in case this adds anything) but after i hear this i scan the whole yard for something as soon as i get to the shed it long pale face swiftly hide behind the shed i was scared out my mind but then ii do some research and find out that some tribes around where i live believed in what are now known as pale crawlers and as i see more and more images they just keep looking more and more like it and eventually that led me to this sub looking for help.

Sardinia italy i took this photo of some weird big iguana or something but here reptiles like that don't exist at all

Please forgive my English. I took this photo 2 days ago around 1 PM. I was walking and immediately noticed this thing slowly moving around in the river. At first it looked like a crocodile and I was shocked because there aren't crocodiles here. I instantly took this very bad photo but I noticed it had a long neck like a turtle and it was moving slightly.
This photo was taken in Sardinia, Italy, and reptiles this large have never really been documented here. It resembles an iguana, but it’s impossible that an iguana (if it even is one) would just be roaming free here. I mean, I’ve seen small reptiles inside cages at pet stores before, but this thing was free in a river and it was really big. These are not things that are normal in Italy, especially in Sardinia. You can look it up yourself there simply are no reptiles like this here.
I can’t figure out what it is. The sunlight ruined the photo, but in real life it looked much darker and it was slightly moving its head to the left.
I showed this to my online friends, family, and relatives and they were speechless. It may sound trivial to some of you, but I assure you that things like this do not exist here in Sardinia. You can research it and you’ll understand I’m being serious.
I honestly can’t even understand what it is, but it looks like some kind of iguana? The strangest reptiles you can normally find here are just regular lizards. I was so shocked by this thing that, even though I was looking at it from above, I didn’t think about recording a video. I whistled at it, but it didn’t react, it only moved its neck slightly then moved like a turtle under the bridge.
About half an hour later I passed by the same place again, but it was completely gone. I did not use AI, I did not take this photo from the internet, I took it myself, and I assure you this is Sardinia. I want to post this in Facebook communities of my town but I'm worried people will call me schizo

What type of bird is this?

Man claimed to see this bird in the Pitcairn Island. AI seems to believe it is a Cassowarie
