I've been on the project for two weeks now, and I have logged some hours. But I am yet to receive a single PO. What's going on? I didn't receive any response from the support team either. I'm not sure if I should be tasking or not.
I applied for the Lyra project at Welocalize and was accepted after passing the test. After that I was asked to move to Label Studio to complete training
I spent more than 10 hours completing the training. Then I received a congratulatory email saying that I had been accepted. I was also invited to Microsoft Teams, Slack, and the Feather website and I was told that I would start working the next day
On the day I was supposed to start they sent me an email saying that I had been removed from the project. They also deleted all my history and training time from Label Studio.
I contacted them by email and opened a ticket but of course I have not received any response
Stealing people time and unpaid work is not acceptable. I am sure I am not the only person this has happened to
And logged a whole 20 mins on Monday. And I work at a computer, and check regularly.

Big G is changing their search engine and I wonder if that's what's been up. The big question is, I wonder if this means tasks will come back or if search engines assume that they no longer need us. After all, AI is so advanced now, the AI overview was trying to explain to me that Free Willy is a Christmas movie just a couple of weeks ago. I don't remember any of the snowy scenes it described, but it's been a while since I've watched it.
It did fix its overview when I reran the search, but still...
This sounds like a great way to kill websites to me. Why would anyone build one if search engines don't want people clicking on links at all and just want their AI agents to tell them what's out there?
So you mean to tell me not ONLY do we get whatever scraps they kick down to us, but we ALSO have to deal with 500 errors again? So not only do we have to hope we clicked the door fast enough to acquire any work at all, but we ALSO gotta hope and pray the damn task loads to begin with???

I know it's bad but any tasks today? I haven't seen 1. No emails on tasks either so I dont know if that is a good or bad sign. Just hoping it is the normal NTA and not the I'm fired NTA.
Hello, is anyone working on Project Lyra Spanish (LATAM) Culture Expert? Almost everyday I get e-mails stating that I passed the qualification process but no one contacts me anymore. And in the Welo Data site the Project is in the Jobs tab. But there are no jobs! This has been going on for about a week
How did my application fail AGAIN despite meeting all requirements?
I literally only clicked "Continue application" before the "Application failed" came up.
I don't even know how to make an official complain to their local authorities...
Hi, quick question for people who went through the Welo application process.
My portal has changed, and it looks like my application was successful and my details were verified, but I haven’t received any emails other than the invitation to create an account and complete the assessments.
Is that normal? Do most updates just appear in the portal, or should I expect an email at some point?
I just want to make sure I’m not missing a step. It’s been about two weeks since the application moved to the job section.
I’ve been seeing a lot about this lately, with the general consensus of most people being that they are very against gen AI. I can’t say I agree fully.
Of course, maybe I’m a little biased w this job 😅
But I will say I have an interesting background. I also work as an artist, and work for a small business… so I can see the anti perspective from artists, but also the pro perspective from a small business (for example: a small business can’t afford or have the time to hire a social media manager, so they use AI for social media posts, etc.)
My opinion— I’m not one of these 100% anti-AI folk, but not a full pro also.
One thing I learned from this job is that this is a tool. And to the people that say AI will replace all jobs, artists, etc, … I don’t agree. For Christ sake, if it wasn’t for AI, I wouldn’t have this job! Ai TRAINING😂
I literally saw one of these hard core anti AI people on Facebook yesterday shame someone for asking a question about AI. And in their comment, they screenshotted an AI summery of why AI is bad😅 The idiocy.
Anyway, the point of this post, just a little conversation starter to my fellow AI coworkers… how do you feel about AI?
I'm so frustrated, it should be illegal to basically hold employees hostage, to not layoff people when the workload does not provide at least 20 hours per person. They keep stringing us along while causing extreme hardship economically, at least for me. I wonder if I should find out of they can be held liable for not letting us go with MONTHS of restricting tasks. It's not like I'm not tryng to find something my else, I apply for other jobs and get constant rejection. I used ALL my savings trying to keep from being homeless.
So nice of the asshats to keep enough tasks this morning for graded tasks and then no other work what so ever. I mean they just cant stop giving can they? I cant wait for the 25 dollar raffle!!!!!!!!
Anyone in the Arande project has been NTA for a long time, at least all April and May. Does anyone know what's going on?
I just want to vent this gig that their heat map is a lie I follow it but it still NTA and some white bar shows up task meaning it doesn't follow heat map, making unpredictable and forcing me to keep my computer open for 15-hour hoping to show up and I hate it.

anybody work for welo as an hourly employee and telus as a contractor?
i know you aren't "supposed" to work both companies, but was wondering if anyone has done it and if it has caused any problems for you? only asking because i am with welo hourly in the factuality group rn, but i was offered a contract job with telus. i know they both use raterhub, so i don't even know if it is worthwhile to do telus since welo tasks have been few and far between. but welo is my primary source of income as a wfh mom, so the dip in tasks has definitely hurt my wallet. i'm supplementing with prolific for now. :/
After working for the company since January, I was terminated with no warning, and no pre termination disciplinary actions. No warning + 3+ months working + Kentucky law= wrongful termination lawsuit.
If anyone has any ideas on what I should do let me know.

Hey everyone,
I'm trying to complete the Finnish qualification/test tasks for Lyra, but there is a weird glitch. The text instructions are in Finnish, but the test audio is playing in English.
Because of this mismatch, the system is completely stuck. I cannot correct it, reset the test, or proceed to the actual tasks.
I messaged support 3 days ago but haven't heard back yet. Is anyone else experiencing this exact same issue with the Finnish test? Does anyone know how to force a reset or get past this? Thanks!
