If any of you haven’t watched this masterpiece of a show yet, today is the best day to start! Even if you don’t celebrate July 4th, it’s still the best day since every day is the best day.
I’m not sure who at DC/Warner Bros is responsible for canceling this show, but for the love of The Presence, please bring it back. The world needs more Young Justice!
I was inspired by an earlier post. The first episode of Young Justice is entitled “Independence Day”. It seemed fitting to watch. But it also got me thinking…
How did everyone here start watching the series? I started based off a Facebook reel. I don’t even remember what it was. But it intrigued me. The reel itself was total clickbait. Thankfully, a commenter was kind enough to mention what the series was.
So I was bored one night and decided to try it on HBO Max. And I am so very glad that I did.
How else did everyone start watching the series?
and what dc comics black mantas actions to aquaman and what he did to aquamans son in the comics
who's more OP/who would you trust to save you- season 1 young justice team or the OG Teen Titans??
be prepared to give a reason
He was on Earth & only attended Happy Harbor High School for about two years and became the valedictorian of his class as while adaptingt to Earth culture during that time. Though I wouldn’t be surprised if there were a couple of xenophobic parents who were angry about it.
Trained Security Personnel vs Highly trained deadly ninja assassins btw.
But then again, this is the DC universe we're talking about, in a world full of deadly villains and monsters, it's understandable that the security guards or any kind of security personnel would be highly trained and skilled in order to protect the one they are supposed to guard, with their life on the line too.
I think Kara's evil arc was going to be perpetuated by the fact that Kal was never intended to be the sole survivor of Krypton, Kara was.
If you are designing an escape pod for an infant, why would you put a single button on the inside? If something goes wrong, the infant isn't going to know how or be able to fix anything. Why would you send an infant off to an unknown world? Unless they land near people, you have doomed that child.
But sending a young adult. Someone who has freshly gone through school, knows the history of your people and has the capability to fly a spaceship, that would make sense.
So I posit that for the Young Justice universe, Jor-El stole the pod for his infant son, forcing his brother to send his daughter into the Phantom Zone to save her in the last moments of Krypton.
We first see her fry Psimon without caring and then it's revealed she started doing it to a lot of villains. Connor tells her that it's wrong and she refuses to believe it leading to their breakup after she tried to make him forget. Eventually, after Artemis fakes her death and Miss Martian finds Kaldur, she tries to fry him too. But it's revealed to her that Artemis is alive and she faked her death to go undercover with Kaldur as part of the Light. Only when she fried Kaldur did she realize what she was doing was actually wrong and leads to Connor and Miss Martian recuperating.
If you know any, please leave a comment.
S3 the adult-oriented season, and they restarted with new characters to appeal to a new audience while keeping the original team for longtime fans. I really liked that direction.
The atmosphere is just so much different from all the other seasons it feels way more grounded
I know it’s blasphemy, but I hated these time skips so much it nearly threw me off the show forever. I dropped off of watching season 3 about half way through. I was really tired of Forager and Halo and the new characters (again I know, blasphemy). I missed the original Team and just wanted to see more of them.
So I decided to give season 4 a shot over the weekend without finishing season 3, and MAN. Was I totally wrong. Season 4 was continuing some of my favorite storylines, the drama, the missions, the rescues, and everything else just worked for me.
So much so that I went back and watched the back half of season 3 after 3 years. Turns out, I totally missed out and stopped right before the focus shifted in the season. I mean wow. What a seriously great 2nd half of season 3.
So, I learned my lesson, even though I have no interest in the New Gods or storylines about other planets, this show is about all of DC not just the parts I like or don’t like.
TLDR: I judged season 3 too harshly back when it premiere, and when I tried it again a few years ago. It took skipping the back half of season 3, and watching season 4 to really get the point of both these seasons. Don’t be like me, and give the show another chance if you haven’t already.
Now I’m going to drag my partner into another rewatch. Hopefully she can forgive the time skips and enjoy. Stay whelmed.
(Just gave him sideburns and his old tooth gap back, nothing too crazy)
I have never watched Young Justice before and probably won’t ever, but I am mildly curious about the Outsiders in this show.
I’m a big fan of the OG 80s Outsiders, but from what I can tell the Outsiders in this show are nothing like that. From my scant research they don’t to take much inspiration from any Outsiders run for that matter
Could someone please explain what and who the Outsiders are in this show and why the production team chose a team that’s very different from the comics? I don’t care about spoilers but just as a courtesy mark them as such for others who might.
He seems like a genuine good dude but he kind of just came out of nowhere in Phantoms without much buildup sans his cameo appearance back in Season 1.
