Batman Inc

I would like a spinoff of the BatFam. To see their dynamic, their training, them becoming a family. Season 1-2 before Barb gets injured and then season 3-4 after injury. Bring in the Arrow fam a bit. Idk I just like the animation style and the lore of this world.

Carbonation?

So may be a stupied question,

But if I brew with Champagne yeast then stabilize. Then back sweeten, will it still be carbonated?

I have a still batch of cider that is too dry and wanted to sweeten it, but in doing so I realize I can't carbonate it via sugar because I would have to stabilize it and I don't have the resources to Keg it.

To much tannins Help

So Im making 1 gallon Lemon wine.

3cups water heated

2.5 Cups of sugar dissolved

Lemon zest

16oz lemon juice

Fill the remaining with water.

Add 1/2 Teaspoon tannins

So I did 1/2 Tablespoon of tannins instead of Teaspoons cause I'm dumb even after checking the measuring spoon and recipe 3 times 😤😤😤

How will this affect my brew?

Any way to correct this or balance it back out.

Any advice?

Should I just let it ride

New pan?

Good evening,

My GF accidentally used my stainless steel pan to fry some homemade bread in, some got burnt on to it. I had to use my metal spoon to scrape/Scratch most of it off but there's still some left and I'm afraid that it might adhere(is that the right word) to the scratches.

Any who I'm assuming I need a new pan???

Bottle day!!!

Bottled my First official batch!!! The first one is Plum Spiced Mead that'll be Christmas gifts for the family, it came out fantastic way better than to thought and the second batch is my version of Viking Blood that I'm calling Bison Blood. Pretty good but I used pink peppercorn in it that I'm not a fan of. Labels to come soon, awaiting them to be delivered.

And of course it wasn't without causality. Broke my racking cane .

Savitar/Iris death

When team flash is trying to figure out how to stop Savitar, they decided to steal the tech from Argus, Barry can't use his powers because of the metahuman dampener through out the building....

Why didnt they just put Iris in the Argus building, where Savitar powers wouldn't work?

Cider Brewing questions

Hello, I'm going to attempt my first Cider, I made wine and mead in the past and I have left over 71B yeast is this a good yeast to use? I plan on a 1 gallon batch, using store bought apple juice, and cinnamon. I'm looking for a semi sweet/Sweet cider

  1. Is 71B fine to use or should I get Safcider? (Any yeast recs?)

  2. Do I need to use pectin enzyme to help it clear. I use it in my mead and wine but that's cause I have actual fruit in it.

  3. Apple concentrate (the frozen stuff) do I add to the primary or just for back sweeting?

  4. Acids and Tannins? I know I don't need to but do I want to add these to is. Maybe not now because it's just a first time batch, but later would using acid and tannins do much to elevate my cider?

  5. Is there any suggestions tips tricks anything I'm not thinking of?

  6. Any recipe suggestions you guys have? Plain or flavored ciders?

  7. Thank you for your help and taking time to read this long ass post.

Yeast types?

I've been reading up on yest types and Cider yeast appears to have more of a fruit flavor forward when it ferments. Is there any reason I shouldn't or couldn't use a Cider yeast in my Mead?

Do most of y'all taste a difference when using different yeast?

Aging question

Dumb question, but is there a difference between ageing in secondary vs bottling and aging? Beside for the fact you can add test and tweak while it's in secondary.

Is lemongrass a good choice. To add a summer time refreshing feel go my mead???

Recipe would be

2.5lbs tupelo honey

1 gallon of water

Yeast

5 stalks. Of lemongrass smashed ins brew bag during fermentation

EDIT:

I mean TUPELO HONEY. Sorry

First time Pensacola fl

Hello, is there any homebrewers in the Pensacola/Milton area here. It's my first time brewing and I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me brew my first batch or allow me to brew a batch with you.

Preferably a Gluten free brewing here due to me being celiac, but not a requirement. If I we were to brew my brew it would be a GF brew.
