I graduated this year from a Tier 1 college (not a flex, just context) and moved to Mumbai for work ( Currently staying in Ghatkopar East ).

A rant and one more reason to hate this city.

So this morning the police suddenly put up barricades and a “No Parking” board outside Platinum Mall, Ghatkopar East.

For years, people (including me) have been parking their 2/4 wheelers in that open space without any issue. There’s literally a police station right next to it, and until yesterday nobody objected or enforced anything there.

Now overnight, within a few hours, barricades are up and parking is apparently banned.

There is a pay and park space outside the local station(opposite rickshaw stand) but it costs ₹50 per day, which honestly isn’t feasible for daily ones.

What’s more confusing is that when I asked one of the police officers whether we could park on the opposite side, he replied: “Park at your own risk, because there’s a no parking board on that side too.”

Where are we supported to park is a big question mark now 🤦🏻‍♂️

So basically:
The usual parking spot is suddenly blocked;
Opposite side is also technically “no parking”; and
No proper clarification or alternative arrangement

Has anyone else around Ghatkopar East noticed this?

Need someone between the age of 16-20 who wants to work for a few hours a day. There's a lot of things I need to get done I can't find the time for. Some tasks will be result based.

I am living with hometel pg since past 10 months.

Never had a late rent payment. Last week i had a friend come over for two days. I even informed them on priority. Someone from my flat complained about a random guy staying at the pg for 1 week which was a lie and then they put a 10k fine on me for that. So i didnt even pay the rent and said remove that fine and i’ll clear everything.

The senior member named ajay started talking like i’ve ripped him off his money. Told me to vacate today. They scam people off their security deposit so easily. What should i do in this case.I have nowhere to go now and i have to vacate today.

If someone from ghatkopar is reading kindly suggest what should i do now.

Basically I (M24) am an upcoming TISS student, moving from Delhi, and need somewhere to crash for 2 weeks in Chembur preferably in Deonar starting from 5th June as all the rentals which I can find are available from 17th June. Can pay a decent rent, if anyone can host me then please DM.

PS: Tried looking into AirBnBs/Hotels but the prices are insane. Plus the hostels are just claustrophobic for staying this long in them.
