What's the most lowkey implied GojoHime moments Gege gave us so far?

Hey yall. I was thinking to make this post for the newcomers who want to know more about their relationship . What do you think is the absolute most implied thing Gege did for GojoHime? It can be the tiniest details , parallels, theories etc that most people miss (so don't be shy) . Ok I'm gonna start first ... When Gojo fell asleep after calling Utahime and then the whole Hidden Inventory literally starts with her . The fact he felt that relaxed just from talking with her ? Idk call me crazy but it's a huge hint for me ..

Gojohime collab cancelled?

Apparently there was a jjk collab with some snack brand in JP where they used gojohime as their mascots (who are supposedly lovers) but it suddenly got cancelled?

I saw someone saying something similar to that before too, they mentioned yuji&nobara was also part of the campaign but since gege was so against of gojohime, theirs got cancelled and only yuji&nobara ones were continued.

Personally, i didn't think much of it back then because they were a gjhm anti, yuji and nobara are strictly depicted as friends so I'm pretty sure if he was that bothered with gojohime he also wouldn't allow it for them as well? Not to mention, it doesn't really make sense for a creator to be bothered by ships too; because it just means more fans&promo.

So what I'm asking is does anyone know what happened with this collab and did they give any explanation about why was it cancelled?

Utahime doesn't have "deep hatred" for Gojo

I've seen the "Utahime hates Gojo" thing get taken way further than what the actual canon supports so I wanted to clear up what I mean when I say she doesn't hate him.

First, yes, Utahime genuinely dislikes Gojo. I'm not trying to argue against that.

Her character sheet says:

"五条のことは割とマジで嫌い"

Gojou no koto wa wari to maji de kirai

A common translation is:

"She hates Gojo most of the time."

That's not an accurate translation of 割と (wari to). It doesn't mean "most of the time." The sentence is closer to:

"She actually seriously dislikes Gojo."

五条のことは = "As for Gojo"

割と = "fairly", "rather", "actually/pretty"

マジで = "seriously", "for real"

嫌い = "dislike/hate"

I'm not going to pretend 嫌い (kirai) can only mean "dislike." Depending on the context, it can absolutely be translated as "hate." The important thing is that 嫌い by itself doesn't tell us that we're dealing with the strongest possible form of hatred.

Japanese has other words that more explicitly convey things like deep resentment or intense hatred. For example, 怨恨 (onkon) carries the sense of a grudge or deep resentment while 憎悪 (zouo) refers to intense hatred. I'm not saying Gege had to use one of these words if he wanted to say "hate" - language obviously doesn't work that mechanically. I'm just pointing out that 嫌い alone doesn't establish that Utahime has some profound or malicious hatred toward Gojo.

What the full phrase 割とマジで嫌い makes especially clear is that her feelings are genuine. She's not pretending to be annoyed or secretly playing along with Gojo's teasing. She seriously dislikes him and his behavior. That's canon. The idea that this automatically means she has some deep-seated hatred for him is the part that's being added on top of the text.

Her irritation is very real

This is also consistent with Gege's supplementary comments about Gojo being a source of stress for people. The fanbook basically jokes that Gojo is the source of stress for at least Utahime, Ijichi and Gakuganji, potentially Yaga too because having to give Gojo orders is stressful.

So yes, Gojo is genuinely annoying to Utahime because he constantly teases her, talks down to her, mocks her and deliberately gets on her nerves. She's been dealing with that since their school days.

But I've seen this "source of stress" comment used as evidence that Utahime deeply hates Gojo which is kind of funny because then we'd have to say Ijichi hates Gojo too.

Being annoyed or stressed by someone isn't automatically deep hatred.

Gojo doesn't even realize how much he annoys her

There's also a supplementary interview/comment explaining that Gojo doesn't know Utahime genuinely dislikes him.

From Gojo's perspective, their constant arguing is basically banter. He thinks they're joking around and considers them good friends. He apparently sees this as an inside joke they've had going since their school days.

Utahime, meanwhile, does not see it that way. She isn't joking around with him; she genuinely thinks he's an asshole.

I think this is important because there isn't anything malicious coming from Gojo's side either. There's no indication that he's deliberately trying to hurt her. He's just an obnoxious guy who enjoys annoying people and doesn't realize when he's actually crossed the line.

So their dynamic is basically:

Gojo: "Haha, I'm annoying Utahime again."

Utahime: "I genuinely fucking hate dealing with this guy."

Gojo: "We're such good friends." 💀

But Utahime still trusts him

This is where I think "deep hatred" becomes especially difficult to support.

Utahime clearly recognizes that Gojo is a great sorcerer and someone she can rely on professionally. Gojo trusted her enough to ask her to investigate the traitor at Jujutsu High and she helped him. >!She also helped him before he fought Sukuna. !<

It makes perfect sense that she dislikes him personally while still trusting him as a sorcerer at the same time.

They've known each other for years, have mutual friends and share the goal of protecting and raising the next generation of sorcerers. Their personal irritation doesn't erase that.

It's similar to how Nanami views Gojo: you can find someone insufferable and have very little respect for their personality while still having faith in them and trusting them when it actually matters.

So I don't think Utahime was secretly cheering for Sukuna or hoping Gojo dies or anything insane like that. She knows he's not a bad person. She just thinks he's an asshole.

I also think people make their relationship more complicated than it is

There's honestly not that much material about their interpersonal relationship. A lot of the fandom interpretation comes from familiar dynamics and tropes.

Some people see their constant arguments as a tsundere-type dynamic. Maybe they are, maybe they aren't. Some people interpret Gojo's behavior as him genuinely thinking their banter is a form of bonding. Others just see it as Gojo being annoying and Utahime being pissed off.

That's all interpretation.

If you ship them, cool. If you don't, also cool. Shipping is just for fun and you don't have to turn your interpretation into a statement about what the other person "doesn't understand" about the characters.

Personally, based on what we're actually shown, I think the simplest reading is:

They're old colleagues who have known each other for years, have a degree of professional trust and can work together just fine while Utahime personally finds Gojo incredibly annoying and genuinely dislikes his behavior.

That's it.

She dislikes him. She hates his antics. But she still trusts him. And doesn't have deep, malicious hatred for him.

Those things aren't contradictory.

Also I'm not saying any of this because I ship them. I just like Utahime and I don't like seeing her characterization get turned into "Utahime genuinely hates Gojo and wanted Sukuna to kill him" 💀

Like dude, she thinks he's an annoying asshole but she isn't seriously plotting his downfall 🙏

TL;DR Utahime genuinely dislikes Gojo. Gege literally says so. His teasing annoys her and her irritation is real. But 嫌い doesn't automatically mean profound, malicious hatred and nothing in their actual relationship suggests she wants him harmed or considers him an enemy. She can think he's an annoying asshole while still trusting him as a sorcerer, working with him and recognizing that he's a good person underneath all the bullshit.

Everyone who says "Utahime deserves better than Gojo" probably disrespects her more than Gojo ever did his entire life

JJK fans show their visceral hatred toward women when the God of Jujutsu or whatever entity it is decides to give a female character a support type technique instead of being able to wipe out entire buildings.

Why is the GojoHime fic hate so intense?

Okay, maybe I'm missing something but I genuinely don't understand the amount of hate I've seen specifically towards GojoHime fanfics 😭

I've read A LOT of fanfiction from different anime, TV shows etc and recently GojoHime and Royai have completely taken over my brain. So obviously I started looking for GojoHime fic recs.

And while doing that, I kept coming across people saying stuff like "GojoHime fics are toxic", "they always make Gojo abusive", "they're weird", "the fics suck", etc.

Like... what? 😭

If you haven't seen this kind of hate, you're honestly lucky lol. But it's not like I'm making it up either. If you're curious, just search "GojoHime fics" and you'll see what I mean. There's quite a few people talking about the fics like they're all some toxic mess.

And that's what I don't get because I've read quite a lot of GojoHime fics now and most of them aren't even toxic. Sure, some are. But that's gonna happen with basically every popular ship lmao. You can find problematic fics for pretty much anything if you look hard enough.

I've read fics for some MUCH more problematic ships, including a weird popular crack ship I like that's basically 100% toxic and I don't see people constantly going after the fics for that ship in the same way 😭

And it's not even just random comments I've seen. I have a friend who wrote stuff for GojoHime and they shared their Twitter account on one of their fics. They ended up getting harassed on Twitter over the ship and eventually stopped writing for the JJK fandom altogether.

That one honestly got me because none of us have ever had something like that happen over a ship before. We've all been in fandoms and read/written for different ships, including some pretty questionable ones and I've never seen it get to the point where someone gets harassed so much that they just stop writing for the entire fandom.

Like, if you don't like GojoHime, that's completely fine. I don't really care lol. But why are people going out of their way to hate on the fics too? And sometimes it genuinely feels like they haven't even read the fics they're criticizing 😭

It's not like fanfiction is supposed to be some perfect representation of canon characters anyway. People exaggerate characters, make them more obsessive, change their personalities, ignore certain parts of canon, romanticize things, etc. That's literally just fanfiction.

I've also read some SatoSugu fics too where I'm just sitting there thinking, "Sorry but I don't think this fic comprehends Gojo at all" 😭. You get those fics where Gojo is basically this obsessive dude who >!can't get over Geto's death and regrets killing him !<while a lot of Geto's actual character and the horrible shit he did gets pushed aside.

But I'm not gonna look at those fics and conclude that SatoSugu fanfiction is inherently bad. It's just... fanfiction 😭

So I genuinely don't understand why GojoHime seems to get singled out so much for this.

Maybe I've just been lucky with the fics I've read, but from my experience, most GojoHime fics I've come across aren't even remotely as toxic as some people make them sound.

Idk, I guess I just don't get it.

Anyone else think Gojo heard what Juzo said to Utahime ? 🤔

That scene where he threatens Utahime "At least let me kill the woman" . I searched a little about this guy and I really think his target was Utahime and not the old man because he's a freak who makes furniture out of human bodies (most specifically women) and he hates killing old men . Even Gakuganji stepped up and told her to go away which says a lot that she was in danger . But the point is (I'm gonna share a youtube video with the scene to see what I'm trying to say) . When Gakuganji and Utahime enter the barrier , Gojo most probably was still outside beside barrier even tho he couldn't enter with them . Do yall think he heard him ? . Because Gojo's six eyes give him god-like senses (how he knew the Utahime was out of zone from that other blonde guy Haruta) . Plus that specific curtain was only made to block his body from phisically entering so it doesn't stop the sound waves or cursed energy at all while he was standing right outside . After that when the barrier dropped his specific target is Juzo and not Hanami . Gojo usually likes to torture for fun enemies , but with this guy went straight ripping his limbs off . This is wild because that's what the guy wanted to do with Utahime after he kills her . Please if I'm wrong , tell me so I can understood better for future but be nice .
