My GONG order has been stuck since September 15th – still no delivery, no contact from the carrier
Hi everyone,
I'm posting here because I've been trying to resolve a delivery issue with GONG customer service for several weeks now, and I'm honestly running out of patience.
I ordered a surfboard from GONG. The delivery was supposed to be to Portugal.
According to GONG, the parcel has been marked as not delivered since September 15th.
I first contacted GONG on September 25th because I still hadn't received anything. After that, I exchanged several emails with their customer service.
Since then:
- I have received no phone call from GEODIS
- I have received no SMS
- I have received no email
- I have received no tracking update
- I have received no delivery appointment
- I have received no estimated delivery date
I even followed up with GONG again on September 30th and October 1st.
Today, October 5th, GONG finally told me that the carrier says that no delivery appointment has been scheduled yet and that they are "currently trying to reach me."
The problem is: nobody has actually tried to contact me.
I'm available on the phone and WhatsApp, and GONG has my Portuguese number. I've done everything they've asked me to do.
At this point, I don't think it's reasonable for GONG to simply tell me that the carrier is handling it. I bought the product from GONG, paid for the delivery, and GONG needs to make sure the order actually reaches me.
This has now been going on for almost three weeks since the parcel supposedly stopped moving on September 15th.
This is also my first purchase from GONG, and unfortunately this experience is seriously making me question whether I would ever order from them again.
I'm posting this here because I'd really like to know:
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with GONG/GEODIS deliveries to Portugal or elsewhere in Europe?
And more importantly, does anyone know how I can get this delivery actually moving?
GONG — if you're seeing this: I don't want another update telling me that you're waiting for the carrier. I need the carrier to contact me and I need a concrete delivery appointment.
I just want my surfboard.
