ENGWE M1 warranty issue – still waiting for replacement controller
Hi everyone,
My ENGWE M1 is only 2 months old and has been completely unusable because it won’t power on.
After troubleshooting, ENGWE’s technical team confirmed that the controller and battery fuse need to be replaced. I provided them with the controller details, and they confirmed they would send the replacement parts.
The timeline so far:
- Sept. 20: ENGWE confirmed the controller + fuse needed replacing.
- Sept. 21: They confirmed the parts would be sent.
- Sept. 26: They told me the controller was out of stock and offered a €40 partial refund.
- Sept. 29: They said the fuse had been shipped and that the controller would arrive “at the beginning of October.”
- Sept. 30: They again confirmed the controller was expected at the beginning of October and that I would receive tracking once shipped.
- Oct. 5: Still no controller, no tracking number and no concrete update.
I’ve been patient and cooperative, but my bike has now been unusable for weeks. I don't think a €40 refund is a reasonable solution for a 2-month-old bike that cannot even power on.
Has anyone here had a similar experience with ENGWE warranty support, particularly with waiting for an M1 controller?
How long did you have to wait? Did ENGWE eventually send the correct part, or did you manage to get a replacement bike?
Thanks!
