Any way to add a confirmation dialogue before NFC payment while the phone is unlocked?

The busses where I live have a payment terminal onboard, with which you can pay using a credit card. A couple of times in the past I happened to accidentally hold my phone next to it while it was unlocked, which prompted an immediate payment from my card. I was wondering if there is a way to get it to ask before making a payment, or would I have to manually turn NFC on and off?

Google Play card in Google Wallet

I got a virtual Google Play card and while I was redeeming it, I was prompted to put it in my Google Wallet. Not knowing any better, I did that. Now, I can't seem to use it to pay for game items in my Play account, nor to pay for anything else. Is it just gone?

Something wrong the Google Wallet app...Where are my cards? No option to add them

Hi, as you can see, I can't seem to add my cards in the wallet app and also my cards are missing.

I have already tried:

- Updating the app

- Clearing the cache and storage

- Restarting the app

It worked flawlessly until recently something broke and all my cards are gone and I can't add them back.

Device suddenly doesn't meet security requirements

Using a Samsung Z Fold 7 running beta (I think...) and my google wallet suddenly stopped letting me use tap to pay.

"Device doesn't meet security requirements
This device may be rooted or running uncertified software."

I'm not rooted. What's weird is that my last update was weeks before this suddenly happened and it worked fine!

Tried what feels like everything. Restarting, clearing cache, uninstalling/reinstalling. Reached out to samsung and they told me to ask Google.

I'm hoping when One UI 8.5 officially rolls out it will fix it, but wondering if anyone is having this problem?

How does Wallet's Virtual card work when paying in-stores on POS terminal or using Wallet at ATMs?

I know when you pay online using Google Pay, your virtual credit card generated by Wallet is used. What happens at ATMs or in retail stores' POS terminals if you use Wallet? Do they get my actual card details or virtual card?

A payment exceeding my cards spending limits was approved

Hey,

I have set some spending limits for my card in the bank app . I have on-the-internet limit and contactless payments limit set. and I just realized that I made a payment that exceeds both of those limits and it went through anyway when it should have failed.

What's going on!

When I use Google Pay and my Amex card in Europe, the charge is in EUR but my Google Wallet is immediately converting to USD. All transaction amounts are in USD.

Interestingly, the USD amount does not match the actual charge on my AMEX statement as different Forex rates are being applied. So this is something done immediately by Google Wallet.

Also interesting is that this only happens for AMEX. My Chase cards all show the EUR charge, which is correct.

Has anyone experienced this as well? I can't find a setting anywhere. So I don't know why this would be happening. It's a bit annoying since the original charge in EUR is lost.

--

I'll explain why this is bad. Let's say I try to charge 100 EUR. Sometimes the local POS system will Forex to USD at a bad exchange rate to scrape money off the top.

With Visa, I can detect this immediately because my Google wallet will show the price in USD which was incorrect. Because the charge was supposed to be in EUR.

But with Amex, Google wallet will show USD for all charges.

So unless I do the exchange rate in my head, I can't tell if the charge was made in EUR as requested or if they did an illegal Forex at the POS.

This is a very common scenario when traveling outside the US.
