Boys Hostel Recommendation IN KNOWLEDGE PARK 2

Hostel is near lloyd college .
Pros-1. has good food .

  1. You can get in out without anyone's permission for 24x7 , no permission required .(best thing for me by far).you are fully independent to do whatever in your room tacitly
  2. Has good food and friendly staff .
  3. lunch and pick and drop service in any collage in kp2 and kp3
  4. laundry 2 times a week
  5. electricity bill included
  6. daily cleaning
  7. 3 times meals and evening tea n snacks
    with bike parking.
    cons - nothing in particular
    1,2,3,4 seater ac/non ac rooms are available .
    between 1-2.5 lakhs depending upon configration .

I think I got scammed renting a flat in Purvanchal Royal City

I’ll keep it as short as I can.
Initially, we visited a flat that we liked and wanted to rent, but later the broker called it off saying the owner didn’t agree to rent that flat to us for whatever reason. He assured us he’d give us another flat on the same floor and that all the layouts were the same. He also shared photos.
We paid the token, but two days later they called again asking us to pay the full rent( without even signing the Agreement) They basically told us to either pay or they’d give the flat to someone else. Again, after paying, they did the same thing and asked for (2 month security deposit) also without the agreement.
The agreement was finally signed later, and it was an 11
page agreement with some pretty extreme rules.

Now I moved into the flat today and it wasn’t even the flat I chose. This was supposed to be a 1bhk fully furnished flat, yet the flat had no oven which was supposed to be there and they took out a few curtains too.
The flat is in really bad condition. It’s neither painted nor cleaned. The walls are chipped and covered with dark marks. All the outlets are broken. Everything is in a really bad condition and some stuff isn’t even usable.
When we told them that this wasn’t what we agreed to, they straight up told us to just leave if we wanted to and that they couldn’t do anything about it. They were literally ready to fight about it which was so weirdd. They also told us that all the flats are similar.
I even talked with other tenants and looked into their flats, and theirs were in perfectly fine condition with new stuff and no marks on the walls. Meanwhile, we were given old and barely usable stuff that was completely different from what other tenants have. They didn’t even bother removing the stuff the previous tenant left behind and when I asked them about it they literally told me to just live with it /:

Galgotias University student looking for flat and places — which area is smartest/best for renting?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently a student at Galgotias University and living in Alpha 2, Greater Noida. I’m planning to change my current flat because I feel there might be better options for student living nearby.

I’m looking for some practical advice from people who actually live in Greater Noida / are familiar with the area.

My main question:

If you were a Galgotias University student looking for a flat today, which areas would you choose and which areas would you avoid?

I’ve heard about places like Alpha 1, Alpha 2, Alpha 3, Delta, Pari Chowk, Knowledge Park, Jagat Farm, etc., but I’m not sure which one actually makes the most sense for daily student life.

Also, if you know of any specific societies/buildings/flats that are good for students, please mention them.

I’d especially appreciate advice on:

  1. Best area for GU students to rent

  2. Best value-for-money societies/buildings

  3. Typical rent for 1BHK/2BHK

4.How to find flats without paying ridiculous brokerage

5.Whether it's smarter to live closer to GU or slightly farther away in a better locality

  1. Any Facebook/WhatsApp/Telegram/other groups or platforms where students find flats directly from owners

Basically, I want to optimize for the least daily headache + reasonable rent + good living conditions + convenient commute to GU.
