Parvati Valley

went to parvati valley again, 2nd trip in last 2 months, 5 days. still feels like the first time, could honestly stay in this valley forever and never get bored.

on the very first day hit a landslide on the way to pulga, got stuck 2 hrs cause the JCB clearing it got punctured. finally reached pulga, such an underrated stopover, quiet, barely any tourists. then kalga, sat around a lot, cafes with great views. did the kheerganga trek after.

real highlight was tosh witnessed the local devta (regional deity) in the village, wasn't planning it, just got lucky with timing. whole village turns up for it, for me it was like once in a lifetime experience.

itinerary -

day 1 - reached kasol( kasol is jus a busstand) left for pulga.

day 2 - stayed in pulga.

day 3 - pulga to kalga.

day 4 - kheerganga trek.

day 5 - descended to barshaini went to tosh.

day 6 - went kasol to take the bus.

already planning the next one.

Solo trip to Parvati Valley, skipped Kasol and it was the best decision

went my first and best solo trip to parvati Valley this july and ngl i skipped kasol and didn't regret it. i did the kheerganga trek first, then went to tosh, then kutla, and ended up in kulga for like 4 days straight cause I just didn't wanna leave.

kulga wrecked me in the best way. im really bad with taking photos and videos but still im impressed by photos i got. everything was so green, so quiet, barely any tourists(mostly i found israely tourist) compared to kasol which honestly felt kinda overrated once I'd seen these other spots. I just sat around most days soaking it in.

If you're going to parvati valley and thinking of just staying in kasol the whole time... don't. go find these smaller villages instead, way more worth it.

planning to go again in nov/dec around my birthday, curious to see the valley in colder weather this time, probably gonna hit different with some snow around. and yeah i was sober the whole trip.

itinerary -

day 1 - delhi to kasol reached by 7 AM

took sharing taxi to barshaini dam

started the kheerganga trek (stayed in kheerganga)

day 2 - descend to barshaini dam and took sharing taxi to tosh ( you can trek too but i was traveling solo)

(stayed in tosh)

day 3 - trek to kutla stayed there( i want to go buddha ban but it was raining crazy)

day 4- descend to barshaini dam and somehow i got lift till kulga.

stayed there for 4 days.

day-8 went back to kasol took my bus to delhi

mostly the food was expensive.

Solo traveler from Delhi looking for recommendation

Hey everyone, im a solo traveler based in delhi planning an 8-9 day Himalayan trip with a budget of around ₹15,000 (flexible +-2k) I've done a few treks before, im looking for a mix of mountains, peaceful spots, and proper rest, maybe with a short or easy trail mixed in along with slow mornings and nature. I'd love recommendations on places that offer both a light trek/hike option and a relaxing stay, ideally somewhere easy to reach from delhi and within this budget. less touristy hill destinations for solo unwinding. would also appreciate thoughts on the best time to go right now. i have searched and found some treks like hampta pass (it's crowded right now), gulabi kantha trek (looking forward for it for now) Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
