I’ve always loved this card. I’ve been tempted to get it slabbed just for protection but know it’ll be like a 5 most likely. Still one of my favorite cards from the 90’s.
I miss the days of collecting for the love of the game. Griffey is my all time favorite. I have 400 in the collection. I stopped collecting in 1999 but back into it during the Covid pandemic for a few months. Brings back lots of great memories of trading cards with friends and going to card shows with my dad. Just thought I would share with the sub. Have a great day.
I collect tons of double rips from Allen & Ginter, but this Griffey/Ichiro is one of my favorites. The icing g on the cake? It's 24/50-Jersey match with Griffey!
I ended up selling four of my cards a year ago as I shifted to another hobby. To name them: 1987 Bellingham Mariners, 1989 UD rookie, 1997 Pacific Fireworks and 1999 Soul of The Game. They were the only cards I had of any value, but damn, have those prices jumped considerably in a year and a half. I paid $5 for the Bellingham card in 2023 and it’s near $300 now. Soul of The Game went from $26 to $170 from 2024 to current. Others the same.
I know I shouldn’t have parted from my collection, but I told myself not to have any regrets! I’m back collecting what I can since I became priced out of my other collection. Must be the current climate. I only collect 80-90’s Griffey cards so I don’t know what’s going on in the card collecting world of baseball. Happy collecting!
Just found this sub and wanted to share this recently slabbed beauty
I posted this in other subs; it’s not worth a whole lot at all, but I was at this game and he’s been one of my favorites of all time.
Wish it was 10 though🤪
