I’m 22F and moving from UP to Gurgaon on 5th July for my first job. It’ll also be my first time living away from home, so I’m both excited and a little nervous.

I’d love to know:
What are some things I should be aware of before moving?
Any safety tips, scams to avoid, or general dos and don’ts?
Any advice for someone living alone in Gurgaon for the first time?

What are some good places to explore on weekends cafes, markets, parks, events, or hidden gems?

I’ll most likely be around South City 1 Sector 41, so recommendations nearby would be amazing.

I moved here recently, and to be honest, life has been a bit boring outside of work. I’d love to meet new people, build a social circle, and network organically rather than relying on apps.

I’m not necessarily looking for anything specific right away—just good conversations, interesting people, and opportunities to connect. Since I’m new here, I don’t really know where people in their 20s hang out or how easy it is to strike up conversations.

Are bars or cafés in Gurgaon good places to meet people? Or are there other spaces where it’s easier to network and make genuine connections? I’d really appreciate recommendations for places, events, or communities, along with any dos and don’ts for someone who’s new to the city.
