Well, almost.

Can't change the weather, but despite that, I managed to pollinate the schickis and chacos and fried with fried AD. That's something at least.

Gymnocalycium: Rooting pup and flower buds.

Got this Gymno from a local plant shop in May. The pup is shooting out its root and two flower buds are forming!

This is my first Gymno any advice is appreciated.

I plan on just leaving the rooting pup connected.

A baby from my wife's hybridization. G. baldianum x bodenbenderianum

The flower on this one is much different tham the others. The others all looked like one of the parents flower but this one was a stunner

All red G. mihanovichii - doomed?

All red G. mihanovichii looking happy but doomed?

This is my Variegated Gymnocalycium mihanovichii. I repotted it immediately when purchased in the beginning of May, and realized it had no roots to speak of. I'm assuming it was de-grafted and stuck in dirt for sale. I feel like this plant is probably doomed but wanted to make sure. It's now alomost 2 months later and it's been flowering pretty much the whole time. It's planted in gritty bonsai soil and in full sun. Since there are no green patches with chlorophyl, it cannot grow roots, right?
