Help me ID a seed from Gymno mix

Hello!

A few days ago I got a bag of "hardy Gymnocalycium" seeds and there were 4 different seed forms, but this one really stands out. It's burgundy and shaped like a helmet, it looks very unique. Does anyone know what it could be?

The seed itself is significantly bigger than other black seeds. I sowed them 4 days ago, but I'm curious.

My second graft ever, LW caespitosa on Opuntia, 2 week difference

I have a LW caespitosa and a rooted Opuntia. I decided to experiment. Previously I did only one graft, Echinopsis on Echinopsis and it also took.

After cutting a pup off LW, I realized the vascular ring was more of a vascular dot... I thought there is no way it takes but 2 weeks later I can actually see growth!

Need advice on soil level

This peyote that I’ve had for a few years suffered mite damage and I think that’s why heads at the bottom have stopped growing completely, while healthy ones on the other side are much higher up. It’s time to repot soon so can I bury lower heads without issues in the future? Now they’re exposed, but the plant itself looks like it’s sticking out too much.

A question about germination temperature and seed viability

Hello everyone!

I got some Ariocarpus seeds that have been in the fridge for 4 or 5 years. I am not sure about the species. What can I expect in terms of germination rate?

Also, what temperature rate is best for germination? I read online that they don't want fluctuations between night and day temperatures, but I am honestly skeptical about info online nowdays because of so many AI infested sites.

Thank you!

Can you confirm it's williamsii?

Hello everyone!

A friend of mine wants to give me seeds to sow and I want to make sure it's L. williamsii. I know it says that on the label, but they're easy to trick people.

I'll sow anyway, but I don't want to pass them on with a wrong ID.
