And I feel terrible :( I know we can live a healthy life with the pills but I’m’sure I won’t have a normal life.
I’m 28, healthy and I think I got it 2 years ago. I’m very scared and I feel awful. Anyone having hiv for some time and doing alright ? Would love to exchange.
Hace dos días tuve un accidente laboral en una mano y como sentía que se me iba a caer el dedo me fui a checar a un centro privado. Ya ahí, aprovechando el dinero de la consulta pregunté si hacían exámenes de ETS y me hice del sífilis y VIH. Esto porque hace apenas un mes tuve un encuentro y lo hicimos por 2 minutos sin protección pero luego volvimos a usarlo por miedo.
Pues nada, salió Positivo. En mi negación le dije a la doctora que podría ser un falso, entonces ella me explica que corrieron la prueba dos veces de la misma muestra y en ambas dió positivo. Ella me dijo que eran pruebas rápidas que rara vez fallan pero que debería hacerme una prueba confirmatoria. Aún no me la hago.
Ya lloré lo que tenía que llorar. Lo hecho, hecho está y si en verdad tengo VIH, ya me resigné a tomar pastillas todos los días de mi vida. Solo que me costará ocultarlo a mis conocidos.

How does everyone feel about it? My partner suffered substantial kidney and bone damage. Just to find out it was all for nothing.

The day i got diagnosed constantly plays in my head. Not as much as when i first found out which was last year. Does anyone else constantly get flashbacks of their day ?
