HP 14s-dq5029 coffee spill 2 days ago. Laptop works fine except the far-right keys: Delete, Home, Page Up, Page Down, Left/Right arrow.
Repair here is expensive and I’m traveling to Egypt next week. Is it safe to wait until then, and does this sound fixable or possibly permanent?
Hey gang, I'm not the best at computers and new to reddit but apparently this is real bad. I cant install updates anymore but storage sense says I'm fine, and for some reason my troubleshooter wont work? Any tips? And my software information app says its a System Model HP Laptop 14s-dq3xxx
Nothing seemed to cause it, I was just sitting there using it like normal, it was working just fine, and then suddenly the screen did this. Nothing seemed to lead up to it, I wasn't doing anything I haven't done before, and it happened immediately without warning. It's an HP ENVY, model 17m-ch0013dx
Endless loop and wont boot, the CAPS lock and the num lock key seem to have 5 short blinks
It wont go into bios no matter how many times i spam the esc, del, or f10 keys..
Ive tried the windows + b hard reset..
any idea how to fix this or will i have to resort to removing the CMOS? (I dont have the micro screwdriver to get inside it :P)

Hello, i just got my first gaming Laptop after gaming on PC my whole life. its OMEN 16 with RTX4080 and i713700HX.
i noticed while playing RDR2 online servers the temps go up to 90-95CPU and 85GPU. plus the speakers mesh that is located between screen and keyboard is getting super hot. putting my fingers there hurt, not burn or anything but i can hardly tolerate the heat.
anyone knows if thats okay? performancewise its performing perfect
Okay so my HP laptop model 14(or that's what it reads on the bottom) screen is black and I don't know what to do.
It is fully charged and when I turn the power button the sidebar goes white, signifying it is on I have looked up multiple "fixes" like with a hard reset by holding the power button down for 15 ish seconds
Is there anything I can do the computer is pretty important for me, where am I just fucked
I have had a hp envy x360 for 2.5 years now and due to terrible battery performance i replaced it today manually with a third party battery i bought online- WISTAR.
But some issues are occurring,
Display is stuck at 100% charge
Lock screen says X inside the battery symbol
Hp hardware diagnostics isn't able to run battery test
How do i make everything normal?

My laptop isn’t turning on at my hostel, so I took it to a repair shop. There, the guy plugged in his charger and the laptop started immediately. Then we tried my charger too, and it also worked perfectly fine at the shop.
But after coming back to hostel, same issue again. Laptop won’t start. Tried different sockets in my room and other rooms. Then tried at my hospital as well, still not working there either.

It's on Dynadot. It does not have my email listed. Only my website domain. I have deleted all other MX records and im entering my domain address and adding MX Google code to it 5 different MX records. But nothing comes to my Google email. What an i doing wrong? I installed Windows back in the day with my own Windows install disk. I ran all the updates and downloaded whatever Windows Update couldn't find from the HP stie directly but when I open Device Manager there still a device that is unknown to Windows. I've even gone as far as having the HP Assistant scan my laptop to find what it missing.
Everything is functioning on the laptop but it's driving me nuts knowing that that device is missing. Does anyone have any advice or an idea of what be missing?

I recently bought a new HP Victus gaming laptop around 8–10 days ago, but I’m facing many issues and I’m really worried and frustrated.
## Laptop Specs
- HP Victus
- RTX 3050 6GB
- AMD Ryzen 5
- 16GB DDR5 RAM
- 512GB SSD
- Windows 11
## Problems I’m Facing
- Laptop feels laggy even during normal tasks
- Apps open very slowly
- Sometimes apps crash or auto close
- Cursor freezes for 2–3 seconds randomly
- System does not feel smooth at all
- WhatsApp, Claude, Steam etc. take unusually long to open
- Sometimes laptop restarts automatically
- NVIDIA app also showed a crash notification once
## Strange Thing
Hardware doesn’t seem completely broken because:
- CPU usage looks normal
- SSD usage is mostly normal
- Temperatures are around normal
- Games can run
But RAM usage goes to around **65–72% even when almost nothing is open**.
I only had:
- 1–2 Chrome tabs
- Steam installed
- Some gaming apps
Still system feels heavy.
## Things I Already Tried
- Updated Windows
- Updated drivers
- Disabled startup apps
- Checked Task Manager
- Uninstalled some background apps
- Checked temperatures
## My Question
Could this be:
- Windows/software issue?
- Driver problem?
- HP bloatware?
- Faulty RAM/SSD?
- Or should I ask for replacement/service?
I’m honestly very stressed because this is an expensive laptop for me and I expected smooth performance.

hi, i recently got an hp omnibook 5 flip and a hp 700 multi-pen, i know some people have had trouble connecting them but i did not however i cant find anywhere on the laptop to hold the pen, am i being stupid or is there just no way to keep it on the laptop.
I own a HP-14 gr-1023tu ai laptop I've been having multiple issues with bluetooth. In the past reinstalling the driver, enumerator etc solved it. But currently iam facing the problem of not being able to connect or pair with my bluetooth while iam able to discover devices through my laptop, when I try to connect or pair though it says "the device isn't responding". I've tried multiple ways reinstalled drivers through hp support cleared my registers(regedit), did the component test and bluetooth service passed the test that means no problem with hardware. I do think the problem is with windows iam not sure idk how to solve someone please help. I did try contacting the customer service they were kinda clueless
Hey guys it has been around 3 years since i bought my HP Laptop 14s-cf3074tu and have never faced such a issue ever in my life..Yesterday i was using my laptop normally but after a gap i had to some work so when i powered the laptop on(while it was plugged into a charger) i tried to type but when i pressed the down arrow key random charecters started appearing also many other keys are having the same..Please help me
I can only get Windows 11 to boot from performing a hard reset or if esc f10 and boot in from the BIOS. I have ran extensive tests on my storage and memory and everything passed I’ve reseated my ram and ssd. If I power on normally it gets stuck on the hp logo, also freezes if it goes into sleep or hibernation.
