HP Envy x360: is a stylus useful?

Just bought a middle aged Envy x360 for web browsing while waiting in Dr offices, etc. Does anyone use a stylus with these computers for simple, non-art-related tasks? It would be simpler to add a little sleeve to hold a stylus than keep up with a mouse, but I'm not seeing any other functional benefit to having a stylus, other than keeping my dirty fingers off the screen.

Fun with Acorn tech support

So...Wife's ipad got a software update a couple of days ago. And coincidentally, AcornTV stopped working; said it was detecting a VPN in use and said it won't work through a VPN. (We are in the USA.) There was no VPN in use, so after trying it on her android phone and the Firestick without any luck, tech support was called. After many minutes of telling her to try all the stuff she/we had already tried, they finally said that '*maybe* AcornTV could have a problem'. After getting off the phone, I said to Wife, 'Let me try something'. I opened the AcornTV web page in Chrome on my Win11 PC; same/similar problem: 'Can't play in your area'. So...I started my VPN on my PC, told it to activate in the USA (in our home town), and reloaded AcornTV. Played great. Wife logged into our VPN on her ipad, restarted AcornTV, and...it works.

So...if you're having problems with AcornTV at the moment...

3003 aluminum for refrigerant line?

Greetings; looking for a little 'plumbing' advice for installing a cheap 12k btu minisplit. The ~13' lineset is about 2-3 feet too short for the best location. I intend to install a 2nd unit in the near future which will need a similar, somewhat longer extension.

I've got the tools & parts (flare nuts, unions, etc) to make 3003 AN (aircraft) tubing extensions. Or, I think I have enough tubing to make the entire run from the 3003.

Options I see:

1 extend both sets by needed amount in aluminum using unions

2 make the 1st entirely in aluminum, and use the 1st original to extend the 2nd

3 spend about 1/3 the original cost of the minisplit for a longer line in each case

Option 3 is obviously somewhat less appealing from a financial standpoint; at least in the short term. Any thoughts, from those who have been there before me?

QUALITY heating pad needed; any ideas?

My wife uses a heating pad almost every day (various arthritis related stuff), and every heating pad we've ever bought has used the 'standard' nichrome spiral wire heating element. They *all* die within a year. Some have had failed controllers, but most die due to the nichrome wire fatiguing and breaking near the cord connection point (high stress, high flex frequency area). The longest lived ones have actually been some of the cheapest, but they're stiff and not very comfortable. We've had a couple of the 'Pure' branded ones with their 5 year warranty, but even they have failed within a year or two. Dealing with warrantees is sometimes worse than just buying another pad.

Does anyone know of a heating pad that uses graphene as the actual heating element? Most ads I see talk about graphene 'infused', which hints to me that it's just marketing.
