So a couple of days ago I read this fic basically right after it was published and thought: wow, okay, this is filthy, weirdly funny, and somehow still emotionally convincing...

I already trusted the author because I follow their longfic, but now I’m stuck craving more stuff with the same vibe.

Can anyone rec me fics that have:

I'm looking for fics where Harry doesn't want to go to Hogwarts or dislikes it there.

Usually fics like this aren't Dumbledore-friendly, and Harry dislikes his professors and finds Hogwarts weird.

Like this fem-Harry fic I'm reading said:

Preferably if it's a crossover fic, and I like it better if there is a ship that it is with a male, be it with normal Harry or fem Harry.

I've been following an author who has these feral Harry crack fics, sometimes Mod Harry fics, or time travel, that I adore—just unhinged Harry but looking aloof and mysterious sometimes—and I want to see if I can find more fics like them.

Sometimes, when Dumbledore appears, he is not treated well; it's not at the level of Dumbledore-bashing, but he is also not portrayed as friendly. Additionally, the fics often include random ships, such as older Slytherin boys, and I particularly enjoy the brotherly, smothering dynamic with Terence Higgs that is sometimes shown.

Are there any fics where Harry and Draco's relationship is falling apart and they go to couples therapy to help fix it? Preferably something with lots of angst and a happy ending.

Im looking for this really really old fic, possibly 15 years old or even older, maybe. I think I might have read it on adultfanfiction.org maybe. I remember some parts very vividly and some not at all. Draco and Harry are together at Hogwarts but I don't think they're there for 8th year. I think school is over but Voldemort isn't gone. In this, Draco is a bit mean but does love Harry fiercely.

The fic starts with the two coming home from a wedding (Ron and Hermione' maybe?) and Harry asks Draco whether they'll get married some day. In response, Draco says something like, "Sure, i'll give you the ring I gave Pansy." and Harry says " I don't want anything of Pansy's" Then Draco tells Harry not to be daft and that he'll get him a new ring, to which Harry says, "Still not what I mean, Malfoy." To this, Draco says something like his heart belongs to Harry and only Harry can break it. Then he tells Harry not to break it as he's vicious bastard when wounded. To this Harry replies, " You must stay wounded something chronic."

There is also a female professor at Hogwarts who's teaching them something like muggle defense. there's this scene where she training them to fight with sticks or swords (cant really remember and there might be some magic involved as well) and the teacher hurts Harry and Draco loses it and attacks her viciously. She's able to stop him and I think both Harry and Draco lose consciousness.

When Draco regains consciousness, the professor is telling Dumbledore or someone about how protective Draco is of Harry and she's never seen anyone who cares about a person so much.

There is an important scene in the fic where Draco gets up one night, goes out into the grounds and summon a sort of fairy. He tells her that he wants her to grant his wish of being with harry and being free to love Harry and that cant happen until Voldemort is dead. i think the fairy owes the Malfoy line a debt and they can claim that debt by making a wish. The fairy says she will grant Draco the wish and then she says that his lover his awake as Draco's restlessness has awoken him.

When Draco goes inside, he sees Harry waiting for him. Harry asks him what he was doing and Draco avoids answering. then Harry tells him that if he doesn't answer, Harry was going to leave him. This makes Draco tell the whole story. He also tells Harry that once the fairy grants the wish, he wont be able to have any children and the Malfoy line will end. When Harry opens his mouth to say something, Draco says "don't you dare say we can adopt, Potter."

Many things happen in between. Sirius is also alive in this one. I remember in the last chapter I read, Draco goes down on one knee in Ron and Hermione's kitchen, produces a ring and marries Harry on the spot.

I think the fic was incomplete but it could have been completed since then. I have been looking for this fic for ages, so if anyone has read anything like it, I would really love to know.

I’m a long time reader of HPU Time Travel fics, I genuinely believe i’ve already read or found all the most prominent or best tagged fics in the subject on Ao3, but I still find new ones all the time here on Reddit, often they’re poorly and/or hardly tagged at all (if they’re on ao3) and thus my tag searches have entirely evaded them, or as is often the case they’re not on ao3 at all, and thus I’ve been left to flaunter unable to find them. Time Travel fics (specifically the type in which time isn’t actually a circular concept wherein nothing can change and everything that was meant to happen has already happened).

Just a few days ago I was once again searching through Reddit rec lists and found several fics which have since been deleted (including ‘Dial G for Granger’, luckily someone posted a downloadable copy of the fic in another post so I managed to read it). However this is just another example of how some fics just slip through the net and thousands of people are missing out on them.

I’ve always been a huge fan of using Time Travel Fanfics as a medium to fix ‘the plot’ and/or enable non-canon pairings. However I’m also aware that sometimes the most well written fics tend to get a bit dark and angsty so I’m always pleasantly surprised when I find genuinely good writing with a funny plot, even if its just because one of the characters have officially gone insane and/or become so unhinged that the humor becomes very dark. (I suppose nobody will be surprised to learn then that Crack-Treated-Seriously, and Crack fics in general are also on my list of favorite tropes?! Didn’t think so😅)

So ladies and Gentlemen, what are some of the best possibly obscure time travel fics you’ve read?

It was a post-war story. Snape was asked by Minerva to return to Hogwarts as so many professors had died. He was asked to cover both Defence and Potions. He didn’t want to do it in the beginning but Minerva offered that he would get help so he got the teaching assistants. Harry for defence and Draco for potions.

I am pretty sure that’s the story was posted on AO3. Can anybody remember the title? Thanks in advance 😊

I remember they had teams and Ron was on Harry’s team and the Weasleys had gone to watch. There was a part where they were high up on this contraption and Ron fell off so of course Harry dove off to catch him and he did and they somehow got pulled back up and saved. That’s really all i remember unfortunately. Sorry, i know it’s not much to go one.

Hey y'all! A few months ago I started reading NottPott and found one that I must not have saved. I don't remember a ton of the plot because I'm not even sure how far I got into it, but here goes...

I believe it took place after 4th year during the summer. Harry is hanging out outside at the park in his neighborhood when Theo comes by. He is apparently lost? And Harry starts talking to him. They start hanging out and Harry even shows him what a convenience store is. They even go clothes shopping and Harry shows Theo how to dress muggle. I think he wears a flannel, lol.

That's all I remember for sure 😬 Please help!

Perhaps he receives numerous offers from different magical schools? Any chance to get away from the Dursleys. Perhaps even a school in a foreign country where he doesn’t need to ever return to the Dursleys. Any recommendations are welcome.

Pairing: Harry/Severus, Draco/Ginny

Severus was in a coma for years (due to Nagini’s bite? definitely post-war) and was cared for at Potters’ house. During that time, Harry started a family with Ginny. Harry is now separated (or in the process of getting a divorce?), and Ginny is now with Draco.

One plot detail I still remember: Severus discovers that Lily is actually Draco’s daughter.
