I’d love to read something set during their sixth year at Hogwarts where Ron doesn't matter to Hermione and she realizes she’s interested in Harry (sorry, lol). Something where Harry is a distraction, she skips classes with him, there’s a bit of tension—that sort of thing. I’d appreciate any recommendations.

I am looking for a fanfic I read years ago. The scene that I remember is the following:

Harry and Hermione stop by James and Lily’s graves right after their wedding ceremony but enroute to their reception. Harry says something like: “Hi mum and dad. I know I haven’t been down to see you recently but as you can see, things have been a little hectic.” Later, Hermione asks Harry, “ May I?” He concedes and Hermione conjures a wreath on their graves just like she did many years before. Hermione then says something words to them. One phrase being something like, “I know you would have wanted Harry to live a happy life, and I promise I will do my best to help him achieve that.”

It may not use those exact words, but that is the scene which I remember the most from this fanfic. If anyone knows anything, please let me know.

Hey I've been trying to find this for a while. I only remember a couple of things about it.

It's Harry and Hermione sitting on the astronomy(?) tower taking in fifth year after having grown apart a bit. They talk and end up confessing to each other.

I re-read Marriage of Convenience by VMFanfiction recently and it has me wanting more where Harry and Hermione (or someone else really) marrying early in order to escape either a marriage law or, as in the above fic, a plot by Evil!Manipulative!Dumbledor and/or Evil!Molly.

I've also just re-read Why Won't They Leave Me Alone? which I would say falls into a similar category although it was a minor part of the plan.

And while any ship is fine, please warn if it has Hermione bashing though. Go ahead and post it as I'm sure it would be interesting to someone else but I just really can't stand Hermione bashing.

I read Unlike a Sister and was really impressed by how much thought went into the plot and character development. I can't say I completely agree with everything in the fic, though. It was honestly painful to watch Harry and Hermione spend nineteen years living the wrong life when they could have been together. 😭
That said, the story is incredibly well-developed, and the author clearly put a lot of work into the worldbuilding, character arcs, and overall plot.
Does anyone know where I can find more of mad_Harmony’s works? And if you have recommendations for other Harmony fics with similarly detailed plots, strong characterization, and a more mature approach to Harry and Hermione, I’d love to hear them.

I need a fic where Harry is actually really hurt / angry at hermione for not reaching out to him at summer before 5th year

Then talking about him behind his back to ron

Avoiding him (that's what I felt in 5th year that she was just too busy with ron all the time )

Then sirius thing happened and that was the time where Harry needed support the most from her

But 6th year she was already at burrow when he reached and then the whole year the distance was there

She didn't believe him about draco

And that book and her jealousy

Then Ron

I need him to be really hurt and angry-

Because they got really really close in the 4th year

And then suddenly because of a summer at grimmauld palace

She is just soo close with ron

So if you have a fic where he is actually really angry and hurt

And distancing himself from her

And Hermione actually has to put some effort and all

It can be - 5th year , 6th year

Or Harry left for horcrux hunt alone

Hello! I'm looking for a fic I read in 2024/25 or earlier. I don't really remember the story, only one or two specific bits.

I'll illustrate what I remember in points. Please do remember, I may be misremembering the plot as well. I didn't really pay attention to the story while reading and now want to reread it again.

Do mind the spoilers please. It was on fanfiction.

The part I remember takes place later in the fic.

1. Harry and Hermione are/were dating or married. I don't remember what's their relationship like in the story in the beginning.

2. Hermione acts like a secret agent of sorts. She's embedded himself among some unsavoury characters.

3. Harry discovers what she's doing. I don't remember who's the bad guy in this story. It was most likely an OC character, either muggle or wizard.

4. At some point later in the story, Hermione goes up to the bad guy and in order to ?distract? him, kisses him passionately.

5. Later on, Harry and that same guy are fighting after shit has hit the fan.

6. The man taunts Harry. He teases Harry that Hermione had kissed him and that he's a better kisser than Harry. I think he also taunted him about his bedroom skills but I'm not too sure about that.

7. Im most likely sure the story has a happy ending with Hermione and harry getting together again. Or maybe they were already together by then and Hermione just kissed the other guy in order for a distraction. I don't really remember.

Best I could do for the title.

I just remember that Harry is a meaner and a bit bitter due to the Dursley being different. Petunia is a drug addict, Dudley and Harry are in an actual gang of sorts.

Harry is a lot more confrotential and resorts to violence easily in this fic.

I know the ship is Harmony.

Like i dont want the harry some people write that has like all the houses(the house of black, the gryffindor house, the Potter house, the slytheryn house..etc), or like a harry more smart that hermione, like harry was never smarter that hermione, like harry is not dumb, he is brilliant he is better in like defence agains the dark arts and the other class that hermione is, but otherwise hermione is the brilliant one, like ofcourse she has flaws, she is closeminded, like she has a hard time with anything but logical stuff and books thou she is a good friend and loyal, like i just want something that feels like the canon books but with harmony.

Idk if you guys can recommend me something like the canon but harmony, without exagerations about harrys character and hermiones, like i want the shy homeboy that sometimes is a bit cocky but mostly out of "he never had he had something to brag about" innocent cuzz he grew up in a terrible house, like that, and a hermione that is the brave and brilliant hermione that she is, no perfect, just on character, like i dont want "a hermione that never makes mistakes" but i dont want a "hermione that the writter is making to make mistakes just to make her humble" cuzz the writter hates hermione character, just the canon characters, like normal, that, thank u🤎

(P.d.2: ofcourse i will never expect like that the author makes them exactly like the canon, like are fanfics it will always be a interpretation of the author of the fanfic, thats complety okay, i just want some works that intent to imitated the canon and kept going but harmony, i just dont want a history that intent to change the characters or does a alternative version of the books, i just want canon setting🤙🙌🙏🙇‍♀️🤙🤙)

This is a question inspired by an old, old post I read regarding inactive fanfic authors.

I've read a ton of Harmony stories (favorites are Blindness, Hermione Granger and the Paradigm Shift, and too many others to name), but I admit I don't really have a sense of who are the most read, most influential, or "biggest" authors right now.

I suppose a "major" author could be someone who has written a ton of works, or someone who has written a great work. I think you could consider someone whose works are complete or ongoing. I'm not sure it matters.

This is sort of a long way of saying that I'd like to be sure there a no major authors/works that I've missed in my quest to read Harry Potter stories that are more satisfying than books 4-7!

Please help me find this fic. I read this and can't find it again. I may misremember the plot so please bare with me.

1. Harry and Hermione are either married or engaged. Most likely married.

2. Harry works undercover and so does Hermione. At least I think both of them do?

3. A girl comes onto harry and maybe they kiss while he's undercover. I don't exactly remember what happened.

4. Anyway Hermione thinks Harry cheated on her and divorces him.

5. Time passes.

6. Hermione has her own team now. It has a guy in it (OC) who clearly likes her. I think Hermione doesn't entertain him that much.

7. There is a party of sorts. I'm unsure about this part. Hermione and the OC come as a date. Harry is also present there and spots them.

8. At some point, the OC kisses Hermione.

9. I don't remember if she rejects or dates him. But some point later Harry confronts her and wants to get back together. I think he tries to explain himself.

10. Harry kisses her and they both lose themselves in each other for a bit. Hermione jerks away since she can't trust Harry anymore.

11. A bit more plot happens and Harry/Hermione do get back together again.
