Gameshop Haarlem
Dag allen,

Hello
I (34M) am recently single after a 6 years of being out of the market and I would like to get some recent pictures of myself taken in a natural way not a professional photoshoot. Need to have a human element in it.
I am really not photogenic and get really awkward faking smiles in-front of the camera as I really hate having pictures of myself being taken. It does not come naturally to me.
Think of Chandler taking wedding photos from Friends and you should have an idea of what I tend to look like.
Happy to buy you coffee or pay you a reasonable amount if anyone is interested. Feel free to DM me.
So, last year I bought a pretty good road bike (Sensa Romagna with Shimano 105, disc brakes, carbon frame, etc) at Vos Fietsen in Zwaneburg. They advertised they would do a good bike fitting, but in hindsight I don't think they really did a good job. They also didn't allow me to testride the bike, even if it was for only 100 meters.
It was the first time for me buying a new bike, usually I always bought 2nd hand bikes but I wanted something better this time around. Before buying the bike I put a lot of effort in recognizing the alarm signals to see if a bike is a good fit for me and it seemed okay, but I guess it's just best to have someone else to help with bike fitting.
Long story short, this bike is giving me typical issues of not being the correct size. Issues like pain in my hands from leaning too much forward, lower back pain from the saddle and handlebar being too far apart, etc.
It's time to find a bike fitter in Haarlem. I'm hesitant to visit the bike store at Rustenburgerlaan as they seemed to be a lot more focused on 'super expensive' bikes (at least to me) and Bike Planet is so crowded each time I go there I have to leave before having spoken to anyone as it's just too overstimulating.
Are there any affordable bike fitters that do a better job than the store where I bought my bike, but are still affordable? I used to go to the Dacia store in the past, but it appears they were combined with the store on the Rustenburgerlaan.
Thanks so far!
TLDR: The Title.
I do apologise if this isn't quite welcome here, I've been trying to get better at posting on reddit, in a few ways, but alas..
It is my [M23] 23rd birthday tomorrow & my second to last full day in Amsterdam.
Been here on a trip with some friends, with the first day being the 29th, of June.
So far it's been quite chill, slow paced, improvised, quite unlike our previous trips, generally speaking but especially to The Netherlands.
Myself & a friend have been really trying to bash our heads together to think of something & whilst we've had ideas, we both mutually don't feel like we've found the one just yet, so I just thought to turn to you guys here!
Again though of course assuming that would be allowed & welcome.
Does anyone by any chance have a my ideas & reccomendations for things to do tomorrow for my 23rd birthday?
So far the trip & therefore we has been quite consistent or local to just Amsterdam but for this/tomorrow we're freeing up the whole rest of the country.
Bio': cause that'll probably help.
I've been to The Netherlands under 10 times I think but further specific than that & I'd be guessing.
I absolutely love & cannot get enough of, bakeries, sweet & savoury but especially sweet, little treats, pastries..
I also love cute little cafés, especially if they do mocha's, which are surprisingly rare & niche.
I'm a sucker for independent, ethical locals but aren't necessarily too opposed to big corpo's, at least over here across the pond.
I love trying to things & especially authentic to the place I'm travelling to type of things.
I don't know how best to end this now so I do apologise & thank you all in advance as I would really appreciate & cherish anything whatsoever!
Thank you so much for evening & please enjoy the rest of your evening!
Alvast bedankt
Hi everyone!
I'm a 24F from India, and my boyfriend and I are planning to move to Haarlem later this year. Since we've never been to the Netherlands and don't know anyone there, we're trying to get a better idea of the different neighborhoods before we start apartment hunting.
We're looking for a peaceful, quiet, and safe area to live in. Our budget is around €2,500/month for a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment, so we'd love any recommendations on neighborhoods that fit that budget.
I'd also really appreciate knowing if there are any areas that you'd recommend avoiding, whether due to higher crime, theft, safety concerns or if they're generally not very welcoming to expats or people of color. As an Indian couple moving to Netherlands for the first time, that's something we're anxious about.
Any advice, local insights or things you wish you'd known before moving to Haarlem would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks so much :))
I know it's advised to not eat raw fish at all. But I saw in other subs women talked about as long as the quality is good it's fine. Wondering which sushi/poke/fish stand places have you gone in Haarlem that you think a pregnant woman can get her fix!
(Also, can I eat Albert Heign cured salmon? )
Anyone know of a gym or studio doing pilates in English? Or a similar type of exercise class. Thanks
Locatie Kruisstraat/nieuwe gracht.

Opleggen dus
Anyone going there? What are your expectations for this week? And for the work that they want to do?
Stuur me gerust een privébericht.
Or is it just me? The hail we had earlier was insane.
Hi, I'm a 28-year-old guy, and I really just want to hear a different perspective. I know it might be hard to give advice since the topic is a bit personal, but that's exactly what I'm looking for an outside opinion from someone who doesn't know me. Unfortunately, I don't have many friends, and the ones I do have always give me the same empty advice. It's just more of the same and doesn't help me see things from a different angle.
Long story short: I'm currently in a job I don't like, which is super repetitive. I've been there for almost 3 years now, and I feel like I have a lot of potential to make it on my own. I'm super creative and I'm always making things in my free time, like games (both digital and board games), websites, music, photos, videos, 3D models, etc. I love making things for the internet and building things online, and I've always been passionate about video editing and recording stuff. I feel like maybe I'm capable of working for myself. I'm not looking to get rich, I just want to wake up and actually look forward to the day ahead of me (I know that sounded pretty dark, but it's not that deep, haha).
I would like to leave my current job in August and challenge myself to try and start my own thing. I've never done anything like this before. I have some money saved up to support myself for about 4 months, but my biggest fear is that I might not be as capable as I think I am, and I'll end up having to look for another boring, repetitive job just for the money.
Anyway, thanks to anyone who read this far. I'm not looking for a definitive answer; I'm mostly looking for similar stories. Maybe someone here went through the exact same thing, and I'd love to hear your story, how you did it or what your thought process was when making the decision.
Thanks again, and have everyone a great day!
Where can I buy cigarettes around Zandvoort or Haarlem?
