Looking for Weekend Explorers Around Haldwani

Hey everyone!

I recently shifted to Haldwani. I work remotely in a corporate job, while most of my friends are working outside Uttarakhand. Since weekends can get a bit boring, I’ve decided to start exploring the beautiful places, treks, waterfalls, and hidden gems around Haldwani and nearby Kumaon.

If you’re also:

* Working remotely or in a corporate job,

* Living in or around Haldwani,

* A fellow Pahadi,

* Or simply someone who loves weekend road trips, hikes, and exploring nature,

you’re more than welcome to join.

The idea is simple meet like-minded people, plan weekend trips, enjoy the mountains, and make great memories together. No business, no promotions just a small community of Pahadis exploring our own backyard.

If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, send me a DM. I’ll create a small group and add everyone who’s genuinely interested. If you have a better platform than WhatsApp for planning trips, I’m open to suggestions as well.

Planning to shift to Dehradun for government exam preparation – Need advice

Hi everyone,
I’ve been living in Delhi for the last 4 years, and I feel like I’ve reached a saturation point. I’m planning to move to Dehradun for a change of environment while preparing full-time for government exams.
I have a few questions:
Which month is the best time to shift to Dehradun?
Which localities are best for students preparing for government exams? I’m looking for a place that’s safe, has good internet, basic amenities, libraries/cafes if possible, and isn’t too remote or isolated.
Is Dehradun a good city for long-term exam preparation compared to Delhi?
Any areas I should avoid?
I’d really appreciate recommendations from people who live in Dehradun or have prepared for competitive exams there.
Thanks in advance!

tired of outsiders

tired of outsiders coming to haldwani. we need to initiate a ban on people from the plains and only issue permission on case by case basis.

no more delhi, up, bihar, south india, etc coming to Haldwani. pahad is for fucking pahadis not for the ones from plains.

Best place for butter chicken in Haldwani where I can dine in?

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for recommendations for the best butter chicken in Haldwani. I'd prefer a place where I can sit down and enjoy the meal rather than ordering takeaway.

Taste is my top priority, but a clean, comfortable ambience is definitely a plus. If you have a favorite spot, let me know what makes it stand out (gravy, tandoori flavor, naan, portions, etc.).

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

How to kill men

31 M here.

I was talking to a girl to whom I mentioned about a book called how to kill your family, but the exact motion is not about to kill family members. I had a chance to read about how to kill men.

It gave me a feeling about how people can easily judge the book you read. I was reading how to kill your family and she became sceptical about why I am reading it. I just want to know is curiosity is the thing that kills the cat?.

Dear haldwani and its readers I want to know do u judge how people read books, and what they read? Isn't it about freedom and a genre to explore about?

What should I tell to this girl that I don't want to kill my family but an inquisitiveness is the cat Alive or dead?

Help me 1
