GPD Win 5 One Year Later - Finally Perfect?

I made a video on the GPD Win 5! I think it's genuinely the perfect size for a handheld. Having used the OneXPlayer 3 with the G3 Extreme chip, I think once you disable some of the CPU cores and download the GPDTool overlay. It's such a perfect little handheld gaming device!

Should I sell my legion go for an odin 3 max (updated)

Hello this post is going to be the more cleaned up shorter version of my previous post. So i have a legion go with steamos and windows also a pc with 7800x3d and a 4060ti 16vram and 32ram. 1 am using my legion vere rarely at home about 3 times a month not because its uncomfrotable but because i have my pc. The only times i use my legion are on holidays away from home. I want to get an odin 3 max because i would brina it places and schoo where i have a lot of down time. I tried bringing my legion to school used it a bit and put it back because it felt wrong and btw my backpack looked like a balloon lol. I had an r36s and didnt use it much because it felt cheap and underpowered because i like games from gba(exception), psp, ps2 gamecube, switch era. The only thing stopping me is warrantv and mv dad because of the warrantv. How is ayn support and should i sell my legion or keep it and buy a cheap handheld like the r36s again?(For people saving not to sell it i need a better reason than odin 3 is less powerful)

Zenless Zone Zero: Why is the Z2 (non extreme) faster than my Z1E?

I have a question. Does Zenless Zone Zero really run at 80–100 FPS on a Lenovo Legion Go 2 with the Z2 (non-Extreme) and high graphics settings, as shown in the video?

The reason I'm asking is that I own a Lenovo Legion Go S with 32 GB of RAM and a Z1 Extreme, and in Zenless Zone Zero I usually get around 60 FPS with graphics settings between low and medium. I was also under the impression that the Z2 non-Extreme only offers a slight performance improvement (if any) over the Z1 Extreme, so the performance difference shown in the video seems surprising to me.

According to the video, the device has the following specifications:

Legion Go 2

  • CPU: Z2
  • GPU: Radeon 780M
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • SSD: 512 GB
  • Running at a high TDP

What confuses me the most is that it supposedly has only 16 GB of RAM and appears to be using the same Radeon 780M iGPU, yet the performance difference looks quite significant.

Can anyone who owns a Legion Go 2 or is familiar with the Z2's performance confirm whether these numbers are realistic, or if there might be something else going on with the setup shown in the video?

Lenovo Legion Go 2 - Zenless Zone Zero They have done really good job!

Is the White Rog Xbox Ally the only true budget handheld pc in 2026?

Last year in December, I decided I finally wanted to get myself a handheld PC. However, I was a bit short on cash at the time and decided to wait it out to see if prices would drop or if new budget options would launch. Fast forward to today, and the hardware market has completely blown up. We have beasts like the ROG Xbox Ally X, the newly announced OLED Xbox Ally X20, and crazy high-end stuff pushing well past the $1,000 mark. After doing a ton of fresh research, it feels like the base white **ROG Xbox Ally** (the Ryzen Z2A model) has effectively become the definitive "budget" king of the market right now. Because it's positioned as the entry point below the premium "X" and "X20" tiers, you can find the white Xbox Ally brand new on sale or refurbished for absolute steals.

Even with the newer chips out, that Z2A processor handles modern games incredibly well, it boots straight into that seamless console-like Xbox UI, and the 1080p 120Hz VRR screen is still incredible for the price. Am I missing something, or is the white ROG Xbox Ally genuinely the best bang-for-your-buck entry point into handheld PC gaming right now if you don't want to spend a fortune? Are there any other hidden budget contenders I should look at before I pull the trigger?

TL;DR: Waited since last December to buy a handheld PC, and now the market is flooded with expensive new hardware like the X20. Is the base white **ROG Xbox Ally (Z2A)** effectively the only true "budget" king left in 2026 due to its lower price bracket, or am I missing a hidden contender?

Thinking of getting a rog ally handheld gaming pc

Hi everyone,

Very new to the pc gaming side of things. Long time PS guy but with the latest news of no physical discs I am wanting to boycott Sony.

I want to get one of these but I don’t want to drop over $1k on the ally x. I’m thinking that games that have pc ports on steam I will buy and then some other games I’ll have to get emu deck and emulate them. My question is, will it run all the way up to the latest releases such as hogwarts legacy?

For emulating or high powered older games e.g. GTA4, uncharted and god of war 3? Would these play well on the one I’m looking at? (Image attached)

EDIT: this is Australian dollars

Getting a gift, unsure about handhelds outside of Nintendo

I’m buying a gift for my brother, and I honestly have no Idea what to buy. We’ve only ever played the Wii together, and he already has a switch 1. So I’m thinking non-Nintendo.

But other than that I have no idea.

My main idea was a ps vita 1000, the metal ones? Looks very sleek and can play psp, ps1 and ps vita?

But then my brother told me about the Ayaneo mini? I don’t really know what that is. So any knowledge/experience and guidance would be great.

I know the AYN Thor can play anything, but I don’t have AYN cash, I’m looking to spend around £200 with some give or take, so I don’t really know what’s available to be beyond DS/3DS/PSP.

Any advice would be great, knowledge on other consoles/androids, or PS vita recommendations if that’s the best option.

Thank you so much :)

A Legion Go S to fall in love with video games all over again

After months of reading you guys talking about handhelds, I couldnt resist to finaly get mine.

I am a programmer and I spend many hours sitting at the computer, and I was losing the desire to play video games.

I was looking for a way to separate work from the hobby, and this seems to be the perfect solution.

Now that I can play in a diferent space from where i work i'm excited to see if it reignites my passion for video games. Even thinking about buying a dock for the living room.

I have choose the Legion Go S Z1 E 32GB 1 TB with Windows 11, but I have already change it to Steam OS. Loving the white color.

Thank you all guys for so many tips and knowledge until now, and the journey has just began!!

Should i sell my legion go for an ayn odin 3

Hi so i have a legion go z1e which i bought about a year ago and recently ive been using it less and less. Ive beaten games like cyberpunk, doom eternal, undertale, celeste, portal 1 and 2 etc. So my main usecase is when im away from home on a holiday mostly the summer where im at my grandparents. All the other time so about 10 months it sits on my nightstand because ive got a powerful pc right there and its also hooked up to my tv with hdmi for bed gaming so overall im using the legion about 3 times a month. Im dualbooting steamos and windows also set up emudeck, decky and i emulate mostly switch and psp also some gba. Im thinking about selling it because its not really portable like i cant put it in my bag and play on the bus stop after school it fills my whole bag and attracts so much attention you can see how big it is in the photo while something like an odin is way smaller and still very powerful which means i can bring it places. My main concern with selling the go is that on holidays i wont be able to play all the pc games i want not that its a dying need but still a concern btw forgot to mention i play souls games too. I had an r36s and then sold it to my friend because i wasnt using it enough in my opinion and it was too weak for even psp with frameskip and allat. Also whats the warranty gonna be like for the odin 3 because im in the eu and its from china and should i consider the thor tho my priority is comfort and pc games i still value portability. The one other thing i considered was buying a cheap handheld for about 50 to 70 euros and keeping the legion but i already did that with the r36s and turns out i didnt use it much. Someone please tell me your thoughts this has been eating me alive for 3 weeks.

Edit: i know you all say that an ally or ally x is less bulky and keeps my windows games but in practice its almost the same thing. Also i said that AAA pc games dont really matter because first i have a powerful pc and second when you are on commutes you cant really follow a story. I just want something to put in my bag which is already filled with books and have it not take almost any space. The only thing im still worried about is the support from ayn.

Onexplayer Super V

I am seriously considering the Super V. I am looking for it to be my all in one device, so i would get rid of my gaming pc and Xbox Ally X.

Only thing im worried about is the handheld factor of this device, can it really be used as a handheld with a modified controller or is that more of a illusion?

Has somebody used these form factor devices as a handheld?

RP6 vs Odin 3 vs Switch 2

I had a jail broken Switch 1 that I really liked and played a lot of Switch games on with some light retro. My Switch died and now feel the need to get another portable device.

I've been looking at some Android based devices that can play some PC and Switch games and I'm leaning towards the Odin 3 for the extra head room.

However I'm thinking at some point the Switch 2 will be cracked should I wait to get a Switch 2 to play the new games that come out or would an Odin 3 at some point also be able to play Switch 2 games?

Why do I get this and how do I fix this?

When I go on the very bottom or the notification, it instantly gives me this screen. I cant go anywhere and only shutting down the Steam Deck works.

How do I fix this?

New to PC Gaming

Hi, looking into buying my first pc handheld and just looking for opinions and recommendations. I know not the best time to be entering the game lol, but it is what it is. I’m mostly looking into steam games, with some aaa gaming. Currently have a switch 2 and ps5 so I don’t care about emulation or using for fps. Currently I’ve looked at the XAX, MSI claw A8, and legion gos. I feel like MSI isn’t talked about a lot, so I’m unsure if that’s a good choice.

No specific budget in mind just want the best value for money!

Between Steam Deck and ROGAllyX which is the better emulator of Switch and 6th Gen consoles (GameCube,PS2, Xbox,Switch)? EXCLUDE COST but consider in responses , ease of emulation setup, and Steam compatibility is a plus.

It seems cost is discussed often so would love to hear about the above issues excluding cost considerations. Look forward to hearing from both sides before I invest.
