okay so.. burner account here / not my main

so the other month ago i made a post about my pick times in HTG, my department accusing me of cheating and mentioning that i think it’s just because my manager is jealous i’m quicker than her. her constantly going to other associates and going on and on about how i ‘cheat my pick times’ though i pause my tour little to no time (example of when i stop it: waiting on cultists. running to the bathroom. when im helping a customer. bringing orders out to customers. all reasons listed are approved reasons to pause my tour from my supervisor!!) anyways, i was going into the work computer search history to view a invoice PDF i had needed to print off and i had pulled it up again because customer lost their copy. within the computers search history was a BUNCH of reddit posts from this subreddit INCLUDING mine as its first one being clicked on and the last. there was slight conversation about my initial post, and said associates called me out for it. though i denied it they threatened to report me to HR for ‘cyber harassment’. i did not mentioned anyone in my post, nor what store i worked or anything that would link this post to me. is that a reasonable report?

PT Leave

Hi, I am a part-time flex employee and have been working with hannaford. I just took an LOA and recently went back. I just informed my manager ahead that I would not be available for 6 days next month for an important event. He informed that I would just have to fill a form and submit so he can check. I was just bothered and want to know if this was ok since we cannot postpone this.

Trouble with updating job application profile?

Every time I try to apply to Hannaford the update profile just does this. My sister works at the same store I'm applying to and when she asked her manager, she was told that the site is down and that I should try again later. That was about a week ago. Does anyone know what's going on?

HTG Heat Wave

The weather we are having now is what made me leave HTG as an expeditor. I’ll never forget it. They always scheduled me some crappy shift like 10-6.
The closer was either the supervisor or the supervisor in training. They decided that day was a good day for the two of them to sit upstairs and “work on the schedule”.
One covered my lunch. 11:30-12:00. After that I was on my own. Bringing loads out to people’s cars, running dry and wet bins, and cars lined up.
I was 45 yrs old. Have a lot of work experience with many people. Always a calm head.
When the two, 20 something year olds came back, I had a fit. I went off. Drenched in sweat, had no water, no break. Told them basically off.
That was the end of HTG for me.
Don’t forget to stick up for yourselves!

This is how a night in the deli starts when corporate decides to install the new 12-pan full wingbar and 10-pan hot entree station, but NOT a dish machine.

From what I've been told, we're the only store that has this full hot-foods set up but no dish machine. Apparently, it made more financial sense to install a brand new 4-pot magnetic induction soup station, even though the hot soup program had been terminated six months prior to construction. It's all good though, because they promised us a dish machine with the next remodel (*tentatively* scheduled for 2028), which is just around the corner!

How many hours for vacation time?

I just asked HR about what you need to do to get vacation time accrued and I was told you need 1,000 hours in a quarter of the previous year to get any. Which isn't possible unless you work more than full time. I don't think i misheard her because she also said that she's gotten only 720 hours in 6 months. 1,000 hours in the entire year would make more sense. I don't know when I'll be able to double check with someone on it. Does anyone have an insight on this?

No call back after interview

I used to work at Hannaford a couple of summers back, front of house. A few weeks ago interviewed at a different location, was told I was going to get a call later that day, haven’t heard anything since. Even after calling the store. For context the other store even tried to hire me back the following summer but I declined, but any way this could have impacted my new hire? Is this common practice for hiring? Just found it strange I never heard back at all.

Globalworx tickets

Why do Hannaford managers like to nitpick their vendors with Globalworx tickets? Is there a quota? Or is part of the culture that it looks good to senior/corporate management that store managers micro manage and pick on their suppliers?

South Portland DC labor hour and pay cut?

Anyone else hearing corporate is changing standards in the DC in August. Not sure by how much but we're being told it's big. Like longer shifts with a 25% cut in pay. Heard corporate HR was there this week asking questions and saying employees are being paid too much. Probably afraid union will file a formal grievance.

Socializing with coworkers

I work in Southern Maine and our store is very keen on us being sociable , like it feels like EVERY person who works at my store talks to every other employee regardless of department. Maybe I’m still just a newbie, but I find it so awkward having to hold conversations with people I barely know. I still help my coworkers out and everything, but I just cannot get myself to converse with them. Will I end up getting in trouble for being uber-autistic??

New hire, how much grace period do you get before being late?

My old job you got 3 minutes so if scheduled 6am 604 was late. Do we get a similar policy.

15 minute breaks unpaid

My teenage son has his first job at Hannaford and he tells me that they are taught in training to punch out for the 15 minute breaks. I thought legally they were supposed to be paid. Is he doing this wrong??

What is your designated pumping room/space like?

New mom here and I’m feeling super uncomfortable pumping at work. Our designated pumping area is a shared office. I have to hope it’s available or have to try to kick people out when I need the space. I also don’t have easy access to wash my pump parts.

Is this normal?!

Online checkout issue?

For whatever reason, when I try to check out on Hannaford to go, it tells me “Checkout failed. Customer is not allowed to shop.” I haven’t done anything wrong that I know of, is there a way to fix this?
