Title^^Bought this for $50 at a random pawnshop in Alaska. Don’t know anything about helmets, just thought it was cool so I grabbed it.
The green one has a marking that has a D 29 and under it has a W over U in a circle
The white has a F inside of a shield which is shown in picture
I’m curious about age, value, is it in good condition etc. thanks for the insight!
This was my grandfather’s who passed many years back, and I’ve had this almost just as long; clueless. I know he was in the military, with a pretty prestigious position at some point affiliated with the previously classified famous SR-71, although I can’t find his military info anywhere I look online and I’ve always wanted to know. He didn’t talk very much at all about his time in when they would ask to my father, and my grandmother didn’t know much either except that he was absolutely in for some time while they were married.
This helmet may or may not be even relative to his military position, but when I found it in their basement after my grandma had passed as well, my father let me keep it. I find it very cool, and was hoping some of you educated enthusiasts could help a brother out with some pro info.
In advance, Thank you!
French helmet, aluminium, no idea what P A A could stand for. Any help is appreciated!
Hi, I just bought this Adrian helmet, apparently from 1915. To be sure, I did some research and, indeed, it seems to be from 1915 based on the rivets that join the different parts, whereas the 1926 model is supposedly a single piece. Roughly speaking, it looks like it, but I need some help to be absolutely certain.
The coloring made me think it was a World War II model, though. The leather of the liner seemed to be in too good a condition at first glance. What I don't understand is the condition of the crest, and since the badge on the front is missing, I'm really having a hard time figuring it out.
Can you tell me at a glance if it really is from the First World War and do you have any advice to give me on how to determine clues to look for on the helmet (factory markings for example) so that I can look for them as soon as I receive it at home?
Thank you so much :)

I have been searching for a good helmet for over a month.
Checked with lot of subs, people, comments, suggestions, finally ended with this.
Purchased a KYT TT Revo** **for 8.2k at a store near by.
My main concern is air intake and this absolutely cleared it off. I won't say it'll be like sitting in an AC room, but you can feel the airflow running in.
Any questions, shoot em right away.
I bought a shell/cover on FB marketplace since someone gave me a liner a while back. I figured it will fit since it’s from the same era. It seems tight compared to my 80’s era m1 with ERDL cover.
Hello was hoping someone could tell me if this is original or not thanks
The soviet one ( the first) seem really fake like a reproduction but the italian one seem normal
im about to buy this helmet. is it all original ? seller wants 250€ but what’s it worth and can i maybe get more out it?
Finding an expert on helmet paint seemed feasible here. I've got these ww1 us helmets, I have my suspicions on the 3rd infantry white and blue being modern paint, the others I do pretty firmly believe I have originals, confirm my suspicions on the 3rd inf? It's a nice helmet aside from the sketchy paint it's got sand and being a British made going for it. Plus I only picked it up for 120.
Out antiquing today and found this. Never heard of these before. Is it real and in as good condition as it appears or repainted? The webbing is in poor shape, though that may be considered decent for it's age as I'm not expert.
Edit: US GOV'T stupid auto-incorrect
I am suppose to be on vacation and not going into
Random Antique Stores but this happened. Not sure about the liner appears to have a raise Firestone symbol with a raised cross line and then raised a 3 or 8 on other side. It’s front seam that appears sanded down and painted on thick
Hello, i bought this helmet and i dont know if it has original paint. Its a Quist M40, 62. I cant see the lot number, just the fabricant.
