Just got the quotation for Honda CB350RS! Need advice on Crash Guards, Insurance and 30 days wait time.

Hey everyone,
I finally went to the BigWing showroom and got the final on-road quotation for the Honda CB350RS. The excitement is real, but I have a 25 to 30 days waiting period ☹️. In Hyderabad they said 60 days.
I could use some solid advice from owners on two specific things:

  1. Crash guard: looks minimal to me from showroom
  2. Insurance : outside from showroom or showroom(TATA AIG)
    Thanks in advance

Got 46.5 mileage

Covered 243 km today and got this mileage. The ride was mostly on highways, with about 20–30 km of city riding. I maintained 60–80 km/h in 5th gear throughout most of the trip.

Is this mileage good, or is it what you'd normally expect?

Any trusted CB350RS accessory installers around Whitefield?

Does anyone know a good, trustworthy workshop around Whitefield, Bangalore, for installing accessories on a CB350RS?

I'm yet to take delivery of the beast and would like to get a few accessories fitted without risking poor workmanship. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Is this fuel efficiency just because of E20, or is there something wrong with my bike?

Hey club! So I got my CB in March. It's at 4.2k kms now, and up until the first 2000 kms, I used to get normal fuel efficiency (37+ on highways, and ~30 in city) even when I would ride with normal aggression(letting a bit of the throttle go every now and then). But ever since the last couple of months, I have been experiencing massive drop in mileage. Now even if I ride super conservatively, constantly in 5th, I get approx 29-30 kmpl. I get less than 24 in city traffic now, which is comparable with a hybrid car. So I checked the instantaneous mileage in my odo, and whenever i give like 50-60% of throttle in 3rd gear, instant mileage drops immediately to <10. But I do not 100% believe this is just due to E20. I have also felt that the engine is a little bit unrefined and some amount of vibrations do get to the handlebars, and it heats up quite quickly as well.

Has anyone else experienced this, and what should I do?

Price and accessories doubts.

I bought a quotation from Tambaram branch yesterday. I am over quoted. What are all the cost that I can reduce. And what accessories I will find really useful and what not.

The accessories with a tick and selected for a final price in the quotation.

Kindly help me.

Edit: The insurance is from ICICI Lombard

Planning to buy an RS, Checklist and necessary modifications?

I am planning to buy my first bike (soo soo excited!) ever and I've zeroed in on the RS now after a lot of thought, what should I check during delivery + what all should i modify to make the riding experience more fun?

Also would like to know about a list of periodic maintenance that I should do to keep the bike smooth running.

Thanks!

Milage indicator!!!!

So my milage indicator is constantly changing milage , I mean within few metres of ride also it increases and decreases milage .

When I bought this bike then it remains constant and change after 1-2km something distance but now it is changing within few metres

Is anyone facing same issue? Or it is normal in Honda Cb350rs?

Sales job with daily field travel — CB350RS is tempting but is it practical over a mileage bike?

I'm 25, working in a FMCG sales job means I'm on the bike almost every day — 40-50 kms, mostly city/semi-urban with occasional highway runs.

Basically stuck in a mileage vs style dilemma. Part of me wants a proper commuter that's cheap to run and low maintenance given how much daily running this job needs. Other part of me wants something that doesn't feel boring to ride every day — been eyeing the CB350RS for its look and comfort, but it's just one option I've considered, not fixed on it.

Budget-conscious since I'm early in my career, so running costs do matter, but I also don't want to hate my bike after 6 months.

What would you suggest for this kind of use case — heavy daily commuting + occasional longer highway rides — without going fully "boring commuter" or fully "impractical for daily grind"? Open to any segment, not just fixated on one bike.

Also curious:

Anyone doing similar daily distances, what are you riding and how's it holding up?

Is the mileage-vs-style tradeoff even as real as it feels, or does it stop mattering after a point?

Need Advice!

Recently got this beauty.

Thinking about adding a rear tyre hugger, but I’m in a dilemma. It might take away from the clean look, but since I’m in Bangalore and it rains so often, it does seem practical.

What you all would suggest??

DELIVERY AND HSRP QUERY

I’m getting a Honda CB350RS, and the dealer has asked me to complete the PDI and payment process. However, they’ve mentioned that delivery will happen only after the HSRP (High Security Registration Plate) is affixed, citing RTO regulations.
The bike will be with them.

Is this correct procedure? Alternatively, can I take delivery with a temporary/A&F (Assigned & Fitted) number plate now, and visit the showroom later once the HSRP arrives to get it fitted?

Upgrading from a 15-yr-old commuter. Is the CB350RS the best pick under ₹2.5L on-road?

Hey everyone,

I'm finally retiring my dad's 15-year-old Passion Pro and looking for a new daily driver. I have a strict on-road budget of ₹2 to 2.5 Lakh — I really don't want to stretch beyond 2.5L for a bike I'll be using in the city every day.

My Use Case:

Primary: Daily city commutes in traffic.

Secondary: Occasional long rides (maybe 1-2 times a month).

Bikes I've considered:

Honda CB350RS: Currently at the top of my list. Looks great and seems reliable, but is it too tall-geared for the city?

Suzuki V-Strom SX 250: Considered it, but honestly, it feels a bit outdated now in 2026.

KTM 250 Adventure: I love the ADV style, but it pushes well past my 2.5L limit on-road

TVS RTX 300 : I have heard it's reliability and service experience, pretty bad in North india , I can get the bike tho as my uncle is regional head in tvs but I will lose csd(army) discount

.

Should I just go for the CB350RS? Are there any other options in the ₹2-2.5L range that I'm missing? Would love to hear your thoughts!

E20 ~ wait or buy?

I was about to buy the RS next month. But the current fuel policy of the government is making me think twice.

The government says it's an experiment.

What does it mean an experiment. Will it revert the decision next year?

What should I do ? Wait or Buy?

Honda just doubled the price of the H'ness CB350 Front Fender? ₹3,235 ➜ ₹6,416! Is this normal or are we getting ripped off? 🤯 #CB350 #HondaBigWing

was checking genuine accessories for my Honda CB350 RS on the Honda app today and noticed something that shocked me. Called the service centre they also said even they don't know why honda has increased this much price .

The Front Fender Kit (Part No. 08R70-K0Z-D30ZA), which was previously listed at around ₹3,235, is now showing an MRP of ₹6,416 (inclusive of taxes).

That's almost a 100% price increase.

With the monsoon here, many CB350 owners are looking to install the front fender to reduce mud and water splash. Seeing the price jump like this feels hard to justify.

If this is an actual price hike, it's disappointing considering this is a genuine accessory that many owners buy. Suggest me what to do? I don't want the after market mudguard they tend to break the original mudguard of cb350rs
