Eyeshadow Tip - HIGHER

There’s nothing more frustrating than completing a makeup look just to realize your hooded eyes are hiding your masterpiece. Word of advice: Bring the shadow higher! I treat my lips as space for liner and focus my shadow close to my brows. If you have the space, use it! Don’t let all your work go to waste.

That one time when my eye makeup looked good

I don't remember the products. Maybe blue eyeliner from maybelline and mascara too from Maybelline

Do most of the Korean/East Asian celebrities use eyelid tapes? How common is this?

I’ve been to most of the East Asian countries and I’ve seen that almost all the regular people have monolids and they don’t have any crease at all. I live in the USA and most of the east asians here have monolids too. But i find almost all the celebrities have crease/some space on their eyelids. Is it the eyelid tape or eyelid surgery? Many swear by not undergoing the knife so I’m confused. Side mention, sometimes east asians around me also get some crease on special occasions when they doll up. I never ask them about this even though i’m so curious because i don’t want to hurt anyone. I hope this is an open space to discuss.

Help me find go to or signature look!

Please can you help me find my go to/ everyday look. I’m 47 going through menopause and lost confidence in myself and my makeup abilities. I’ve not done a proper ‘face’ in nearly 3 years. Just something simple, like me but on a good day!
Thank you!

Some my fav eye looks

Over the years have learned that false lashes look kinda silly and over powering on me. Also utilising my under eye space a lot.

Just happy to find a place where I feel zero pressure to raise my eyebrows lol

Mascara, shimmery eyeshadow and brow gel. Much more and it just looks too crazy on me lol but Im okay with it 🌟 and yeah I know you can barely see it LOL but Im trying to be more positive towards myself so here we go😂🤣 does anyone else feel like less is more, with their hooded eyes? Products are Elf brow gel, LOreal brown mascara, and eyeshadow from a company called True Cosmetics (discontinued)

How to make my eyelashes stay up

I have very hooded eyes and thick lashes. I curl my lashes every single day without fail (see first picture) but they fall pretty easily. I really wanted to get into semi permanent false eyelashes because I hate mascara and love the fuller but also natural look but every time I put on the temporary ones my eyes look so crowded once they fall. Would putting on the more permanent ones possibly fix this? Should I consider a lift?

The second picture obviously I’m not wearing falsies but that’s where my lashes naturally lay so you might see how with falsies they’d be even heavier.

Glasses wearers, how do you keep foundation on your nose?

Every time I take my glasses off, I have two massive red dents on the bridge of my nose where the makeup has completely rubbed off. I've tried baking with powder, using eyeshadow primer on my nose, everything. It always slides around and looks terrible.

Monolid eyeliner always transfers or smudges.

I have monolids, and doing eyeliner is a nightmare. I draw a line, open my eye, and it completely disappears. If I draw it thicker, it just transfers onto the upper part of my lid and smudges everywhere. What is the trick?

How to do makeup on deepest eyes?

Feel like I’ve been watching hooded eye tutorials my whole life and they’ve never really worked, because they’re always suggesting going above the eye crease. My eyebrows are low, which I think is actually what’s causing the hooded effect. Any advice for how to do, for example, a smoky eye? Im into kind of alt looks.

Edit: also if you think doing anything with my eyebrows would be helpful lmk - I’m curious as I’ve never really touched them

Upper Bleph

Has anyone had this procedure? Was it covered by insurance? Any reasons to not do it? Just looking for as much info as I can! Thank you
