Any idea what creature near our garden this is? Google thinks it’s a spider but I don’t agree
I think it’s a moth but not sure that it’s a cocoon…perhaps it’s a moth that’s some spider’s lunch?

Iam looking to buy young trees but already producing some fruit/nut/banana. Where should I look at?
Thanks in advance for recommendations.
I have had a single bush for three years now. The last two springs I would get blossoms, but never any fruit. Does anyone know how to get them to fruit?
Have so many of these. Stuffed them with a cheesy rice dressing. So good!
my first time growing cantaloupe and decided to have it climb a trellis. is it normal for it to curve like that? or does it mean I haven't been watering as often as I need to? HOUSTON zone 9B clay soil but planted in a mound of quality soil and compost at the foot of my cattle panel trellis.
Most if not all my tomatoes have stopped producing because of the heat...do y'all pull them out for the rest of the summer or see if they hang around until it gets cooler in the fall?
I usually stop by Orchid Express & Leasing (which google tells me is permanently closed??) but was hoping to find a few more places to check out for orchids other than the usual phalaenopsis. Any other recs in the loop or nearby?
I’m new to growing cucumbers in the Houston heat. My plants have only produced 4 large cucumbers thus far after an early spring planting with only a few flowers left. Will these produce again in the fall? Thanks for any guidance.
Hi all! We found this guy on our tomatoes and decided to relocate him. We made up a nice home with some steps and a few throwaway tomatoes.
This morning we come out and see he’s eaten some but he’s also started producing these cluster pods. Any help with identifying these?
The crispier the better. Mealy or mushy not so much. Thoughts? Your experience?
I was out of town for 10 days and one of my tomato plants was taken over by army worms. Should I chop off the part that has been eaten the most? I had some on another plant before I left, and I was just picking them off and throwing them when I saw them. Now there’s quite a lot🫠any advice appreciated to a first year gardener!
This was my extra plant that I didn’t have room for in my raised bed, so if it’s a goner, it’s all good.
I guess we never before got these fried green tomatoes quite right, but tonight was the night. Oh my goodness, these were beyond amazing. My wife followed Pioneer Woman’s recipe. Tomatoes used were that green Marianna’s Peace top row third one from the right and then a green Pruden’s Purple I picked just before game time.
Anyway, crunchy, savory, sweet, melty, creamy, tangy, yummy are adjectives that apply.
Glad the tomato season is about done and what a way to go out.
