Wow! This movie is absolutely incredible and I am so excited to read the book next! It was the perfect night to finally watch it, It’s a cozy fall evening, the leaves are changing, I have a candle lit from one of the apple orchards outside of town, and a galaxy light is projecting pretty colors onto the wall. The cinematography paired with the story line was absolutely incredible and so much better than I could’ve imagined this film to be. thank you for reading and wishing you all a cozy night… ✨🪄

I made the coat, jewelry and crochet calcifer bag (seen in only 1 pic because I gave it to a friend after the con). The coat was my 2nd ever sewing project and was… uhm… quite a lot more advanced than the apron that came before it lol. Fortunately, my aunt is an avid sewer and let me use her nicer sewing machine and workroom, helped me choose fabrics and gave a LOT of guidance on modifying an existing pattern to make the coat. Definitely want to remake this coat at some point to get the collar standing up and the number of diamonds correct.

​I specifically dedicated these two figures to the quiet, sweet, and comforting friendship between Sophie and Markl from Howl’s Moving Castle.

​While Howl and Sophie’s romance gets so much love (and rightfully so!), there’s something extraordinarily beautiful about the cozy family bond that grows inside the castle. Markl, who was used to looking after himself and hiding behind his magical disguises, finds in Sophie a warmth, safety, and maternal presence he didn’t know he needed. From sharing simple meals of bacon and eggs to running the shop together and calling the castle "home," their bond shows that family isn't just about where you come from—it's about who makes you feel safe.

​I tried to capture that warmth and storybook magic in every needle stitch and fabric ruffle.
