Howl Pendragon Cosplay

I made the coat, jewelry and crochet calcifer bag (seen in only 1 pic because I gave it to a friend after the con). The coat was my 2nd ever sewing project and was… uhm… quite a lot more advanced than the apron that came before it lol. Fortunately, my aunt is an avid sewer and let me use her nicer sewing machine and workroom, helped me choose fabrics and gave a LOT of guidance on modifying an existing pattern to make the coat. Definitely want to remake this coat at some point to get the collar standing up and the number of diamonds correct.

Emotional Blunting with Vyvanse but not Concerta?

I was diagnosed with ADHD just over a year ago and started on Concerta (18 mg, and then increased to 27). It was working wonderfully for about two months before I started feeling bothered by the “jumpiness” of it. It’s a constant cycle of feeling it working, then petering out, and then feeling it again. AND I was still struggling to sleep at night (which I take dopaquel/seroquel to help with). So my psychiatrist started me on Vyvanse 4 months ago. Initially, it was great and even now the effect feels so smooth. It doesn’t raise my blood pressure at all like concerta sometimes does, improves my mood and, most importantly for me, I can sleep at night without taking dopaquel.

Unfortunately, it seems to have an emotional dampening effect. It feels like a vague contentment with no anxiety (or particular excitement) about anything, including anxiety about things I definitely should be anxious about (missing deadlines and being on time). So it feels like it’s actually decreasing my functioning somehow? I switched back to concerta last week and already feel less weird but now we are trying 36 mg to see how it goes. Still taking dopaquel/seroquel with no clear path on phasing it out. My psychiatrist is stumped that there’s such a difference between the two but here we are lol. Has anyone else had similar experiences switching between medications?

Sitting on kitten proves ineffective

Please ignore the mythbusters very loudly playing in the background. Freya (4 month old kitten) and Mikey (10 month puppy) keep proving why they are not allowed to play unsupervised

What is the consensus on selling vintage crochet patterns?

I do not want to sell any patterns!

I have seen a few etsy listings for pattern pdfs from some of the golden hands books (from the 1970s). I inherited almost all of the books from my gran and planned to just scan and post some of the patterns (for free of course)… but I’m still a crochet newbie and don’t want to step on anyone’s toes. It seems wrong to me to try sell patterns you did not write but maybe if the patterns are rewritten with more inclusive sizing and clearer instructions then it’s different?
