Found out that I received a whopping 2% merit increase but once again a promotion was denied. This is the third time a promotion has been denied with my work performance never being the issue. Mergers, layoffs, a company that can't balance its own goddamn books.... the reasons are endless but not at all surprising. When PRA was sold to this fuck ass company, I should have jumped ship like everyone else. Cheers to the end of our layoff freeze next month so they can continue to axe us by the masses again 🍻 May the odds be ever in your favor.

I understand there was a round of CTA layoffs in Canada. Does anyone know if this is truly limited to Canada?

Icon sent me an offer letter via email to sign a month ago with a start date that is 3 weeks out. I reached out to negotiate the pay the day after I received the offer and tried to connect with the recruiter.

A week of no response and then I get an email from the recruiter stating “please disregard the offer letter as the position has already been filled”

I only asked for a 12 percent increase in the negotiation so I’m not sure what would make them rescind their offer like this. Or is this something to expect from ICON going forward?

US SE CRA here: Had my salary increase discussion today, finally. 3% merit increase and 3% market adjustment, 6% increase overall. Now to wait until September to see a difference in my pay. And we don’t get backpay!

Anyone expecting a slight exodus? Minor blip in demand, terrible compensation news, RSU vesting. Thoughts?
