Since non-Eggman villains keep getting killed off, I'll fix the lack of villains. Comment a Sonic stage/zone from a mainline, canon Sonic game that isn’t already tied to Eggman or another villain, and I will pitch you one for it. (One per person. Avoid Repeats)

So I might already have a voice headcannon for Blackwood.

Don’t ask me how long it took to make this.

What are your headcannons about starline

For some reason I Imagine his Movie Incarnation would be a massive Spice Girls fan

IF someone was writing a sonic AU/reboot fanfiction that loosely adapted the stories from the games but also took ideas from Archie and IDW's take on the story, what arcs and storylines would you want to see adapted?

Even if you would never read such a thing, think of this as a thought experiment for if there was an OFFICIAL sonic reboot that did this. I'm not yet too familiar with Archie or IDW sonic, only having read a stray issue or had a few plotlines told to me by friends. While I will be reading parts of both while working on this side project, (starting points welcome, I've seen much debate over how much of Archie is utterly unreadable) I would like to know what people find to be iconic and necessary.

For the record, this is more of a "writing practice" thing for me than a "passion for the franchise" thing, and so canon-compliance is not at all important. Not to say I have no such passion, just to say it's my take, not "how it should have been." As such I'm asking for pointers on what people would want to see, not your idea of what a better story would have been.

Jumping-on Point

So I've been getting back into reading comics lately. Started with Marvel stuff but now I wanna get back into Sonic. Haven't read a Sonic book since like 2009 when Sonic Universe came out.

Should I try to read all 88 issues of the IDW book or is there a good jumping on point somewhere in the middle or more recent?

Edit: Looks like I'm reading 88 issues to catch up lol

I know it's not IDW's fault, but it's just sad when people praise them for the localised story and not give the original creator any recognition

I don't like Sonic and Shadow's interactions when it's Sonic "being a unserious jokester" and Shadow is trying to stay focused and professional

The point of Shadow's character is that he is the one who brings serious stakes to the series. He should not serve as a comic relief foil aka Knuckles to Sonics carefree nature and jokes. I expect Sonic, whenever Shadow is around to, act more professional and prepared for a fight. It's a waste of Shadow's involvement and it treats him like another friend for Sonic to play off of that treats everything like it's a fun time.

Are Espio and Vector, like... raising Charmy together or something?

I'm not very familiar with the modern Chaotix so I don't understand this arrangement or how it happened. Are they..... you know......... 🫳
