My issue with the BUILD UP for Avengers: Doomsday (and it's not necessarily Doom)

Doomsday has a major issue in terms of build up, which I think most of us can agree is due to the frantic pivot away from Kang. And while Doom's build up is a bit lackluster when compared to Thanos, I don't think it's the main issue like most people assume; the real issue, in my opinion, is the build up with the Avengers themselves, and all of the heroes in general.

The Infinity Saga effectively established each major character in the Avengers roster all the way back in Phase 1, and then continued to add more characters from that point onward. Whether it was Iron Man, Thor, or Captain America, there was a general focused storyline being told in the Infinity Saga before Thanos himself really did anything. And when Endgame happened, nearly every single character or team we had seen up to that point banded together in the climactic finale. This is ultimately where the Multiverse Saga has failed.

While practically every character, relatively speaking, in the Infinity Saga had their stories connect in Infinity War/Endgame, the same cannot be said for the Multiverse Saga. Almost half of the characters who have either been introduced or should've been the lead focus are completely nowhere to be found leading to Doomsday, and that's a huge problem.

Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, the Eternals, all absent with no clue as to what they're doing. Scarlet Witch is just dead after a somewhat scuffed villain arc. Shang-Chi hasn't even been mentioned in 5 years. Nick Fury and the Skrulls... I don't even want to talk about that. Hulk hasn't been doing squat, so nothing's changed there. I won't even mention the atrocity of She-Hulk. Sam Wilson's Avengers team is practically non-existent still, let's be honest. The Thunderbolts are fine though, but they ain't doing much to Doom aside from Sentry lol.

Here's what I think should have happened to more effectively set up the Avengers/hero teams for a much more effective collaboration:

The Eternals: get rid of it, nothing meaningful happened with them.

Shang-Chi: make a 2nd movie for him.

Captain Marvel: Make an actually good movie that establishes her as more of a leading figurehead for the MCU. Throw in an interaction with Sam Wilson as Captain America: he takes charge of hero activity on earth while she manages the space frontier.

Doctor Strange: if the rumor of him being one of Doom's witches/wizards is true, then we should have gotten a 3rd Strange movie showing how he and Clea eventually encountered him.

Scarlet Witch: while she's dreamwalking through the Multiverse, perhaps she encountered Doom at some point and, finding connection with her over their lost families, Doom would advise her to regain her lost children at any cost.

Captain America: give him 1 or 2 movies where he establishes himself to the world as Steve's successor and slowly organizes a new Avengers team.

Thunderbolts: this was good, no changes.

Fantastic Four: ideally 2 movies before Doomsday, though just having 1 is fine. They feel more like this saga's Guardians of the Galaxy in that they're more distant from the main roster before teaming up in the Avengers movie.

These are some changes that I think would have drastically improved the road leading to Avengers: Doomsday, not just for Doom himself but also for better establishing the newer roster of heroes that face him. What do y'all think?

The fact that the Stargirl TV Series (goated and yet underrated show btw) has the best live action green lantern is ridiculous.

Inde knew EXACTLY what she was doing when she said she wanted to work for Marvel following her success in this movie!

I’ve seen people talk a lot about how they think Inde Navarratte’s talent is so unique that they don’t think she should waste it in joining a huge franchise like Marvel, and should just stick to acting in movies that are more independent to allow her to expand her range where she could potentially build a career that almost resembles someone like Emma Stone’s for example (I’m sure there are other good examples, but that’s the first that comes to mind for me).

Even though I’m sure elevating her talent is important to her, she has her priorities straight where she also has to think about work that’s guaranteed to set her for life financially (since she only made $20K playing Nikki in Obsession) and having a Marvel role gives her that especially if she plays a character that’s likely to have more appearances in the franchise’s movies and if she can make this character a fan favourite that seals it for her.

I’m very excited to see her portrayal of Rogue!

Holy shit was this a good movie

I wasn’t sure when I saw the trailers, but I absolutely loved the concept. When it came out, all the reviews I saw said it was either the worst or the best so I went in not knowing what to expect, even the friend I went to said he was low key expecting it to suck but GODDAMN this was really fucking good. It’s got a perfect balance of humor, suspense, horror, and action. It’s got kind of a Spielberg vibe to it. I wish more movies like this were made nowadays. I thoroughly enjoyed that, I absolutely recommend.

Original title "I'm glad he is suffering"

I previously talked about how he is being biased towards DCU and blaming James Gunn for the failure of Supergirl26

And recently he watched the leaked Spiderman Beyond the spider verse trailer and yapped how they changed the art style into Pixar ( mind you the movie is coming in June and by that time they will finish their work)

And now in his recent video people are finally calling him out for being a biased person

It’s such a simple f**king task like why 💀

Like I’m actually starting to think they’re running away from their problems in a cowardice way and that they actually think us marvel fans are stupid

Like I do not care if this movie flopped hard or isn’t good it should’ve even matter because it connected to doomsday in the first place

What is so hard! All they gotta do is have Monica and Maria on the x-men slide and since they are the closest characters to Thor’s miracle! Have Captain Marvel reach out to Ms marvel and Fury to finally help and find her while at the same time running into Thor’s team! Explain how much of a big deal the Quantum Bangles that ms marvel has are a big deal to the multiverse lore especially the Ten rings and why Dr doom needs to eliminate them because of it so he can take them for himself to make him more stronger since he knows what it makes! And that’s it! The questions are solved! It should not be this hard to connect everything you did for this saga like they did for Infinity War and Endgame which made it a success because it connected everything from Infinity saga in one movie like Thanos and the infinity stones alone

Just lock in! It’s not that hard!

I hate that I did this but I had to brainstorm on how they can easily solve the young avengers/champions side plot in the MCU for doomsday and secret wars if they locked in and

I also brainstorm on the fact that the key artifacts of Shang Chi and ms marvel’s powers aren’t playing in the movies when it literally needs to be but that’s a different story

What did you guys think of S.K.'s video on Spider Man: Brand New Day?

As someone who enjoyed the film alot, I gotta say, he's got some good points, especially with Frank and Jean. Watching this made me feel so ignorant, but y'know, some people are more analytic and critical than others.

I give up! 🙄💀🤦🏾

I still remember the days where DC was being dominated by Marvel! Even I was one of those people who said marvel is better than dc! and when the flash movie trailer released I had so much hype for it like I swear they were hyping this movie up as if it was gonna be one of the greatest superhero movies ever made even f-king tom cruise was praising it so I saw the movie and… it was honestly one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen (at the time) it was at that moment where I gave up on the DCEU And I knew it wasn’t gonna get better! It was so bad I didn’t even bother watching Blue beetle and Aquaman 2 in theaters (Hell I still haven’t seen Aquaman 2!) and when I heard the universe was rebooting, y’all don’t understand I WAS SO HAPPY WHEN IT LOOKED LIKE WE WERE GONNA GET A PROPER UNIVERSE AND SOMETHING NEW AND FRESH AND CREATURE COMMANDOS ALONG WITH SUPERMAN ‘25 IT LOOKED LIKE WE FINALLY GOT WHAT WE DESERVE! Even though Peacemaker season 2 wasn’t the best it had its moments and more people were talking about it more than Gen V S2 (which sucked but it needed 2 more seasons) now I was a little worried because of all the news that was going on at DC… and then supergirl happened… as someone who read the books I’ve never felt so aggravated for a movie in my life even though the acting carried it at least! But the movie was so done dirty like they set it up for failure! Not only did the team didn’t even try adapting its source material and read it along with the writing being so mid but WB/DC barely even marketed the film like they didn’t care for it and it shows! (Unless if it has something to do with the WB and Paramount deal then fine I understand at least announce it) Not to mention they’re using ai as concept art for not only this movie but Lanterns… YOU ARE APART WARNER BROTHERS STUDIOS AND THEY’RE RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU JUST GET THE F-KING ARTISTS! Now they cancel Paradise lost which had so much potential to be a hit on HBO as the game of thrones for this generation not to mention can you imagine how cinematic it would’ve looked but nah! We get a Jimmy Olsen show… at this point I wouldn’t even be surprised they just keep Superman instead and have his movies be a franchise instead of a establishment universe and then they bring back the SnyderVerse but it’ll be animated like he wanted it, or DC makes an entire Batman universe only without using other DC characters just centered around Gotham only because of course Batman is the only way they can make money and they know it! That’s why they go to him every time a project fails because DC can never make a proper universe and I think they should never make a universe ever again

Gunn is on fraud watch right now! Every year it gets so frustrating to be a DC fan

Is someone erased from this shot?

Look in between Reed and Sue and Johnny and The Thing, it looks like someone has to be erased from this shot of the trailer same thing between Ant Man and Thor. There has to be two other characters they are hiding from us. You can’t say Steve Rogers because he was in the trailer, and also say that the spot between Ant Man and Thor is Shang Chi or Black Panther, or Falcon, or Loki because we know they are in the movie to. My theories is that the one between the F4 is Toby Maguire Spider Man after his universe is destroyed by the X-Men, or Deadpool because they teased him at Comic-con. And the other spot between Thor and Ant Man I don’t know, if anyone has theories, lmk!

Do y'all prefer Avatar:The Last Airbender (including the movie and tie-in comics) or X-Men:97' (including the og show and tie-in comics)?

u/Different_Result_346 — 4 days ago

Doomsday Special look...seems weird (i mean like made with chatgpt weird)

Why Sue is expositing Doom's backstory like that? Im pretty sure that The Avengers need STRATEGY to fight Doom, not BACKSTORY.

Also Thor's exchange with Doom also sounds very weird.

"-you will beg for hell long before i grant it."

"-hell answers to me. "

--these lines sounded like chatgpt when you type the prompt of

"gimme a cool exchange between 2 people that includes hell"

Also why Thor is getting the "punching bag" treatment like the hulk?

Reed and Doom exchange are the exeptional tho.

Punisher and spider-man

One thing thats weird to me is why peter would be friends with frank, punisher is a ruthless killer who kills people on cold blood, peter should be against him and try to put him in jail and yet he allowes him to rome the streats where innocent people could get hurt couse of him i mean we saw his show every kill that he will make is on peters hands couse he had the opportunity to stop him yet he didn't

How do you feel about the recent events/controversy that have been happening with skibidi toliet

If you don't know, in 2023, creator of skibidi toliet Dafuqboom made a deal with a company called invisible narratives(or inviz for short).

They promised to expand skibidi toliet into a global franchise, help solve probems he was facing at the time(face lawsuits about false copyright and ip claims and sanctions imposed to Russia that affected him like unable to receive adsense revenue) and even got Micheal Bay involved.

In late 2025, after long waiting periods between episodes, a spin-off called emergence released, it wasn't created by the original creator and it was received negatively. From that point forward, the creator very rarely communicated publicly and left small hints that alongside other signs all seem to have confirmed he has lost control of the ip and had a falling out with the company. Other creators also highlighted poor experiences with the company and that they all need to sign contracts with the company if they want to make videos around skibidi content.

Movements #BringBoomBack and #LetBoomSpeak were formed, the end goal aiming to restore control of Skibidi Toilet back to its creator and ask that Invisible Narratives allow Boom to share his side of the story in one public statement without legal consequences. (for example," Alexey gave an unexpected interview to journalist Steven Asarch. He reached out to Asarch after he announced he had an interview with Adam Goodman the day prior. Alexey had not gotten permission from Inviz. And after the interview, he told Steven he needed quote approval")

Fast forward to today, the channel gets renamed to just "skibidi", and the new long-awaited episode is releasing but the original creator is not involved in the production, rather a fan-animator hired by the company. Even Micheal Bay reportedly part ways with the company. Still few people know about this situation.
