Been thinking a lot about making the jump into the cannabis industry.

I’ve spent the last 5+ years in B2B sales, business development, recruiting, and operations within manufacturing/distribution environments — building accounts, growing relationships, solving hiring problems, managing high volume, all of it.

But outside of work, cannabis has honestly been a lifelong passion and interest of mine. Genetics, terpenes, cultivation, branding, consumer behavior, retail trends… it’s something I’ve naturally spent years learning about without realizing it could become a real career path.

At this point, I’m looking to apply my existing skillset to an industry I genuinely care about and grow within something I’m actually passionate about long term.

Open to networking, advice, or opportunities across sales, partnerships, account management, operations, brand development, recruiting, or anything where hustle and relationship-building matter.

Located in the Chicagoland area but open-minded overall. Appreciate anybody willing to point me in the right direction.

I’M SEEING YELLOWING, QUESTIONABLE TEXTURE, EARTHY/SOIL NOTES, AND SOMETIMES IT MAKES ME WONDER WHAT’S REALLY GOING ON. 🗑️

Picked up some Riff flower the other day — it was about a month from expiration.

Went back today and grabbed a half of Sugar Storm and honestly… same disappointment. This batch was supposedly fresh according to the date, but the experience felt off. Makes me wonder if it’s inventory they struggled to move before.

At first I thought maybe I was overthinking it, but when you start noticing unusual color, earthy flavors, or inconsistent quality, it makes you ask questions. Is it outdoor? Sun-grown? Bad cure? Poor storage? Or just rushed production?

I guess that’s what I get for trying to save a buck while supporting local and staying in-state.

What really gets me is the lack of consideration for medical patients. We’re not shopping for luxury — we’re trying to find medicine that consistently works.

Meanwhile, I’m seeing recreational spots run stronger deals and sometimes deliver a better customer experience. It honestly makes me question whether renewing my medical card is even worth it or if buying through medical dispensaries still makes sense.

I’m tired.

As a medical patient, I just want reliable products that work without having to gamble every purchase. Being forced to pay premium prices for medication while quality feels inconsistent is exhausting.

The greed and disconnect from consumers feels like one of the biggest problems hurting people right now.

I can't smoke anymore due to health reasons. I have tried gummies in the past but I'm not sure if I did not get the right dose or gummies were weak. But barely felt anything.. I'm so used to smoking so it's going to be a difficult transition

Have any of you grown any bagseeds that come from ur dispo grabs? Currently got about 14 La Kush Cake Seeds from high supply bud. Curious if anyone has had success!
