Stable Service

I thought I found a decent service for the price but it seems like every month it stops working. I paid for a 6 month subscription. I would appreciate it if someone recommend a service that works.

[Self-Promotion] Introducing Dion: Enjoy all your media sources on all your Apple devices

Hi folks! Over the last few months I've been building Dion. I was tired of jumping between multiple apps to consume all the different sources I use: Plex, Jellyfin, IPTV, Stremio...

Dion lets you add one or more providers and browse/watch everything from a unified library. It also works great if you only use a single source.

It’s available across all your Apple devices: iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Mac.

I’ve packed in as many features as I could, and I already have a long roadmap of things I’d like to add. Some highlights:

  • Plays most things you throw at it: Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, HDR... if the device supports it, Dion will try to play it.
  • Rich EPG information for Live TV, so you can actually find what you’re looking for. If your IPTV provider doesn’t include guide data, Dion does its best to fill in the gaps.
  • Support for multiple content sources: Plex, Jellyfin, IPTV (Xtream, M3U/M3U8), Stremio add-ons, SMB, and WebDAV.
  • Multi-View: watch up to 4 streams at once.
  • iCloud sync, so your watch progress follows you across devices.
  • Live TV notifications
  • TMDB integration

Those are some of the features, but it packs much more.

I’d love for you to give it a try, and I’d really appreciate any feedback :)

Magnum IPTV is a scam. Avoid them like the plague...

I'm quite new into IPTV and after using a few trials from different providers, I decided to get a 3 month subscription with Magnum IPTV. After paying via Revolut, I never received any login details.

I contacted the support via WhatsApp a, and even though they promise to send me the details, 1 week later I received nothing.

Sad, that these kind of thieves exists. My desire to get a subscription is gone.

I guess I'm going back to reading books.

Heat

What do you know about “Heat” service? I asked this question because as a longtime IPTV user of a steam I won’t mention (referrals only) who’s provided quick reply’s to questions and problems, and solid service for the last 8ish years. That said, I have to say that this “box” you can purchase for a one time fee raised my curiosity. So I went ahead and purchased one as a backup. It seems it’s just another iptv service that’s preloaded, making it more user friendly for the end user. Am I wrong?

[Self-Promotion] I laughed when people asked for Light Mode... then I spent more than a whole weekend building it. 😅

PixelPlay 1.0.5 is finally live, and yes, it now supports both Light Mode and Dark Mode.

When the first few requests came in, I genuinely thought, "How hard could it be? I'll knock this out in an evening."

Fast forward to me hunting down random labels, buttons, and icons that had apparently made a lifelong commitment to staying dark. 😅

The upside is that I ended up polishing a lot of the UI along the way, and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I'm curious though...

Which camp are you in?

🌑 Dark Mode all the way
☀️ Light Mode everywhere
📱 Or do you just let iOS decide?

As a solo developer, a surprising amount of PixelPlay's roadmap comes directly from user feedback, so I'm always interested to hear what people actually prefer (even if it means another "one evening" feature turns into an entire weekend).

Just added IPTV support to Nuvio Mobile

Been working on adding live TV to Nuvio (the Stremio-like media hub for Android/iOS). It's coming along nicely:

- Built-in iptv-org source — 12,000+ free online channels with one tap

- Multiple M3U playlists + Xtream Codes API — add as many as you want, toggle which ones to show

- Group/channel categories — auto-organized into collapsible sections with headers

- Quick Access bar — first 15 favorite channels for fast switching

- Favorites — heart toggle on every card, persisted across restarts

- Channel history — last 15 played, accessible from the player

- In-player channel overlay — search, switch, and favorite without leaving playback

- EPG inline on channel cards — shows now/next with progress bar (working on proper implementation)

Still ironing out EPG matching — channel IDs from M3U don't always align with XMLTV sources, so matching isn't perfect yet. But everything else is solid.

Built with Kotlin Multi Platform + Compose Multiplatform.

Check out the Demo video and If you want to help build this out please feel free to fork from my GitHub: https://github.com/Robbdeeze/NuvioMobile

I'm curious, what's the best streaming setup you've ever seen or put together?

Are you rocking a huge 4K TV, a projector, surround sound, LED lights, a comfy couch, and unlimited snacks? Or are you perfectly happy with a laptop and headphones?
What's one thing that made the setup feel like a true home theater?

Also, a great setup is only as good as the content you can watch. If you're looking for an easy way to enjoy movies, TV shows, sports, and more in one place, Bingeknight. com is worth checking out.

Let's see those dream setups!

👋 Welcome to r/ZoraTV - Why I built ZoraTV

Hey everyone. I'm the person behind ZoraTV, and I wanted to share why I made it.

I tried a bunch of IPTV players and hated all of them. Half were apps I had to sideload. The other half ran in a browser but looked like they hadn't been touched since 2009, and a lot of them just wouldn't play on my iPhone at all. I figured it couldn't be that hard to make one that opens in a browser, works on everything, and doesn't look terrible. Turns out it was pretty hard, but here we are.

Here's the stuff that actually matters:

Nothing to install. You open a link. That's it. iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows, even a smart TV browser. No APKs, no "trust this developer," no app store.

Bring your own line. It's a player, not a subscription. You plug in the IPTV service you already pay for. It works with both Stalker/MAC portals and Xtream username and password codes.

It works on iPhone and iPad. This was the part that nearly broke me. Most web players die on Safari. ZoraTV converts the streams that don't play on the fly, so they work on iOS where basically everything else gives up.

It looks good. Full screen player, a clean scrub bar, live rewind and go live, picture in picture. It feels closer to Netflix than to a settings menu.

Live TV that isn't painful. Real program guide, categories, search, favorites, and a live preview so you can channel surf without loading screens.

Movies and shows with real posters. Proper artwork, ratings, and a Netflix style Top 10, all matched to what's actually in your catalog.

Continue watching that follows you. Start something on your laptop and pick it up on your phone. Your history is tied to your account, not one device.

Your phone is the remote. Scan a QR code, no login, and control playback from your phone. This is my favorite part.

It's early and I'm building it out in the open, so I'd really love feedback. Tell me what's missing or what you'd want next. If you want to try it, comment below and I'll sort you out with a trial.

[Self-Promotion] I built a clean IPTV player for iPhone/iPad — bring your own playlist, no content included (solo dev, would love feedback)

Hey r/Appstore,

I'm the solo developer behind Timonation IPTV, and I wanted to share it here because this community is exactly who I built it for. You bring your own M3U URL/file or Xtream Codes login (Stalker/Ministra portals too) and the app plays it. I don't host, sell, or bundle any streams, it's just a player. There's a free tier and a one-time lifetime Pro unlock (no subscription).

What it does:

  • Live TV, catch-up, and VOD (movies & series) with resume
  • Full EPG / program guide with time-shift
  • Favorites, multiple profiles, and parental controls (PIN-locked groups)
  • iCloud sync so your playlists/favorites follow you across devices
  • Recording + picture-in-picture, widgets, and Live Activity / Dynamic Island
  • Built on VLCKit, so it plays the formats other players choke on
  • 7 languages

I'd genuinely love feedback from people who run real playlists: what works, what breaks, what's missing. Happy to answer anything about the app or the build.

Service recommendation - Indian content

Currently using YuppTV via Tivimate, my renewal is coming up in August. Looking for replacement service with good Indian VOD content that is updated a day or so of new releases.

Can you suggest alternatives? Yupp used to be good, but recently seems to have gone downhill. I hear GloTV is good, but looking for general recommendations that I can take trial for to decide over the next 2 months.

What are you guys looking for in a player?

I am I guess like a lot of other IPTV developers as I did build my own that I am having other people use and sub too but I first importantly made one that I would want to use and has the ability to be like plex and jelly fin but easier to use when it comes to viewing self hosted media.

So yes its available if anyone wants more information but I really want to know what draws people to a player. For me I didn't need anything fancy or does anything crazy.

IPTV interface Recommendation

Hi,

Can a yone recommend an IPTV player that has a similar look to Netflix, Disney etc?

I'm setting one up for my parents using an IPTV provider and all they'll be using is TV Shows and Movies, so the live TV element doesn't matter.

I just need something that makes growing things easy.

Thanks
