Subwoofer enclosure
Do any of the sportcross owners have experience with this box from Wicked C.A.S? I’m in the market for a sub for big red and like the idea of keeping a pretty standard cargo area.

Ok I know this topic has been asked to death, but most of it is “what lowering/angle kit do I get Megan/figs/godspeed/whatever”
Ive added meaty wheels+tires (18x9.5 rays with 265/35/18) and Megan coilovers. Occasionally track it. Do not plan to lower significantly or otherwise need large camber adjustment.
So heres the options:
A full Mevotech supreme setup runs about $700. Not awful but a bit much. Moog is in the same price range and I read better things about the Mevotech.
There’s also the energy suspension bushing kits. Front+rear for $250, another $20 for the sway bars. This is the cheap option, also the labor intensive one but I can live with that.
I’m conflicted between the cheapness and better performance and wanting a comfortable daily ride I don’t have to think about (relubricating). Especially with the coilovers and wheels I’m worried it’ll just be way too hard to be enjoyable. I’m also wondering how much of a “refresh” it’ll be putting new bushings on 25 year-old parts.
Middle ground: I could do the refresh kit + Mevotech front upper and lower control arms for ~$500. Keep the most important parts soft for comfort, do polyurethane bushings everywhere else to save some money.
Thoughts?
Can’t find this plastic piece anywhere without buying whole new oem fuel pump. Any clues on the name and if I can by them for cheaper anywhere? Thanks! ( yes ik there’s part outs but I don’t need a whole pump and this piece isn’t worth 150 bucks to me lmao)
2001 daily driver was driving perfect yesterday but today this is what I woke up too, wasn’t abused nor was it tampered with (as far as I know). What culprits should I investigate? I have a code reader coming by soon so I can update with codes but I’m leaning towards crank position sensor due to no RPM movements when trying to start her up. I checked EFI fuse and it was intact and dunno how to check relays honestly. Hate sitting by waiting but don’t want to start doing unnecessary BS any help is appreciated!
I am brand new to getting into cars, I just bought a really clean 2001 IS300 with 100k miles fully stock. I want to do some cosmetic stuff to the car but nothing too crazy, would you guys recommend these. The only thing I really want is that front lip and new headlights but I don’t know if those ones are good to get.
can anyone help diag these noises i get from starting & shutting down the car? it sounds like its coming from the belt tensioner/pulleys. thanks in advance!
Looking for the sat nav.
About to buy an altezza and would love to have the nav unit with carplay. DM me if you're willing to sell it
I have a 2002 IS 300 it was converted from auto to manual by the previous owner. I believe it still is running an auto harness, but it does have a manual ECU from Royal tuned the car after start up only on very random starts will cut throttle and RPMs completely like it’s going into a fail safe mode. I have a. Throttle body lock so full cable throttle and I mash the gas and it does not react at all. The only way to get rid of it is to basically key bang the car so it resets all the control units and it is perfectly fine no issues at all after that the car has all four wheel speed sensor codes so I’m guessing there’s an issue with the wheel speed sensors communicating to the car. It does not read speed but everything else works. I will attach screenshot of codes. The car is throwing any help would be much appreciated.
Installed Figs hood struts and gave the bay its first clean in 25 years. I’m replacing it next week regardless, but I can’t believe how good this OEM timing belt looks after 15 years and 44k miles.
Hi, I made a post on here a while ago about putting an OEM navigation system into a 2002 is 300 , and I wanted to follow it up. I found these 2 listings on eBay, and was wondering how doable it is for myself . I spoke to the guy selling the unit itself, it includes the controls , and the trunk dvd drive including the mounting bracket for it. I don’t own one of these cars yet, but I am in the market for one . When the right offer arises , I will definitely get one. The overall question here is : Can I install one of these systems and all of its components myself? Thanks for any replies!
I'm going to look at this is300 sportcross tomorrow fitted with the OEM navigational system. I just wanted to know if there is any drawbacks from buying an is300 with one installed. I have plans for the interior like adding a period correct single or double din aftermarket headunit and possibly upgrading the speakers, and adding a obdII gauge which would have sat where the factory nav is. My question is for what I want to do, would the factory nav get in the way of upgrading the av equipment, and would it make it harder to find a place to mount a gauge? I've been in the market for an is300 or is300 sportcross for a while and this one checks all the boxes i just havent found one with the factory nav so im not all that knowledgeable on it. Thanks in advance!
Was digging through my storage unit today and found the original spare tire for my 02 IS300. Thought it was kinda cool that it spent over 2 decades in the trunk and never once got used! I swapped it a few years ago with the used one from my parts car IS300 so I could leave this one In new condition
politely kicked out after this, totally worth it 💪
Was able to practice and get some footage with my old camcorders too!
Just need the TRD high rise wing and maaaaybe some new wheels and I got my dream OEM+ Altezza done. And maybe an imperial jade respray once the paint oxidation gets worse?
I have a rough diagram showing the idea. The grey box at the bottom is a relay, pin 30 goes to the positive on the battery(RED), 85 to ground (BLACK), 87 to positive on the fuel pump(RED), 86 is a trigger wire(PURPLE). The main reason I'm even trying to bypass the resistor is because when I ohm tested the resistor it was reading 1.0-0.5 as well as never read a constant number, just jumped around. For more info, I'm running a stock fuel pump but I do have a return system. Since I have a stock fuel pump will it be able to handle a constant 12v and will the stock wire gauge be able to handle as well? What wire gauge should I run? I'm also curious how to setup the trigger wire, I was thinking I can tap a fuse that'll turn on when the key is in accessory and stay on when the engine is on. Maybe I can use the wire that would have used to go to the resistor and use that as the trigger. I'm not really familiar with wiring stuff but in my little mind it should work since it gets sent power exactly how I need it to since it is used to control the fuel pump. (Last side shows the idea). The resistor isn't expensive but I would like to get rid of parts that seem to fail consistently(as they seem to sort of do) Used this video to give me an idea->https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8QrroHo_v4 2004 Lexus Is300 I6 3.0
My first and only car that I've ever owned. I've had her for 4 years and I don't think I'll ever get tired of taking pictures of her. 2002 w/ 104k odo when I got her, 137k now and hopefully a lot more in the future. ^-^
So, as you can see, only one low beam and one high beam on each side work. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and could possibly tell me what the issue might be. I’ll be taking it to a mechanic within the next month or so, but I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this. The general consensus I’ve gotten is that it’s a wiring issue. If that’s the case, considering the age of the car, how much do you think it might cost to fix?
Look what i found today
Edit: i dont think ive ever seen one with this color from the factory before
