[Between Two Fires] by [Christopher Buehlman]

Very close to finishing, only have a chapter or so left. Started reading it yesterday due to social media recs, and it's actually really good.

[5/30] ▶️ The Caretaker - Marcus Kliewer. Currently reading.

The amount of time the word "Sharpie/Sharpied" was used in the first part is getting funny. But I'm loving the found footage/creepy SCP-esque anomaly vibes.

[Lonesome Dove] by [Larry McMurtry]

About a hundred pages in. I now understand what it is to write good characters, I feel like I know the Hat Creek crew. It’s so easy to read and I’m loving this so far!

[The Maltese Falcon] by [Dashiell Hammett]

I think this was the original in the noir crime genre. Now I finally get all the cultural references I’veI’ve grown up with where a beautiful woman in distress walks into a dark Private Investigator’s office and asks for help! It’s keeping me entertained so far.

[Veronika Decides To Die] by [Paulo Coelho]

I started reading Veronika Decides To Die by Paulo Coelho.. starting is repetitive and slow... Let's see how things go ahead. Comment your reviews if you have read this one.

[Satantango] last leg [Laszlo Krasznahorkai]

I was wondering if you all would give me some insight of the appeal of this book/ what you all thought. I think some of the descriptive, complex imagery was lost on me (I’m not someone who is typically able to keep up and retain a lot of descriptive words/paragraphs that describe a scene or feeling)… but I’m also kind of confused to as what the village was before and what part Irimias and Petrina played before they had vanished?? (After one speech at the bar they gave them all their money, was there some trust beforehand that had been established before the book starts or were they just THAT desperate?) Please let me know your alls thoughts.. imm gonna open reddit up again when I’m finished
