r/IllariMains

Just had these two made in my cousin's online shop for my favorites.
Couldn’t figure out who to prioritize to heal so I bombed the whole team instead.
Hello Illari mains, for a video I’m looking to 1v1 every one-trick, and figured this would be the best place to find the most dedicated mains, [info in description]
since your hero is niche i've had to come to reddit to find someone to represent them, if you're interested, message me on Discord directly since i'm not too familiar with reddit
discord.gg/bFQfSHj5RG (server) or @ duckismyname on discord
message me privately an image of your career profile as well as your battletag.
Either Console or PC is fine (i'm PC)
& revealing your comp rank would be preferred but not mandatory since it doesn't matter too much:)
Finally gm again, otp illari
This night was crazy 25W 5L, this hero is pretty fun
Guys I can’t hit my shots anymore…
I know It’s probably just a skill issue and I have to get used to the smaller projectile size but FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE REVERT IT!!!
The part I love most about her kit are the satisfying headshots but they are so much harder to hit after the nerf.
Fuck you mean I have to actually aim now 😭
Pls tell me your experiences and also check out this amazing artist who made this beautiful fan art! @Notembee on TikTok
what perks are you guys picking?
i'm a gold 3 support main who just got back into ow this season, i only play support and i play juno, mercy, kiri, & illari!
i'm wondering if i can get some input from similar/higher ranks than me. i usually pick the pylon cooldown perk for the minor & then i kinda swap betwen the two for the second one, but i mostly pick the sunburn (outburst does extra dmg) perk.
are these good picks or should i be picking something else?
How did the projectile size nerf affect you personally?
For me personally on PC it’s not that bad overall. The nerf can be very noticeable, where my accuracy would drop by something like 10-12% in some matches. But some matches are pretty much the same as before, with something like 2-3%. But i simply can’t be consistent and good as before with my accuracy.
The biggest problem for me personally might be the dive heavy comps. I am REALLY struggling once i get dived by smaller/faster heroes like Tracer, Genji and Anran, that usually have small hitboxes too or big health pool heroes like Reaper. Once they get close to me, i am really struggling and many times i would just give up trying to hit them when i am low and know that i will die. This is what made the biggest difference for me and where i am really struggling. She is definitely not nearly as good as dealing with this anymore and it makes me sad. It’s better once you get the major burn perk, but that’s usually always mid or late match. 😔
Whoops…
I promise I made sure that point wasn’t taken tho, I felt so bad
What would you like reverted?
I honestly still can’t believe that she got no compensation or nerf revert for that huge projectile size nerf. I personally think that her mobility should go back to 7s and that they should give her back longer (3.5s) healing beam duration. Major healing perk needs to be replaced with something else too.
Yay finally. I missed it in the shop and was hoping to get it for weeks.
Overwatch when they see illari mains have a moment of peace then realize she destroyed her population so they need to make her feel clunky, rough, and jagged as much as possible … (all for 5+ damage buff)
I have reached another rank will illari after nerfs which never happens and I got POTG on Runasapi on the same rank up game. I still feel like I’m doing much worse. Her solar rifle feels very light idk how to explain it like going from a regular drink to a zero-sugar vegan drink or something
☀️Reality check about balance changes as a whole:
☀︎ We have to stop acting as if ALL nerfs to her were unwarranted: the projectile size one is understandable to be upset at -- However she does not need: insane beam charge, 90 sunburn damage in addition to the regular d.o.t it does.
>The 'unfun' to play against comments quickly turns into 'she's super over tuned and people being boosted in competitive because of such' which honestly became true. Illari shouldn't be SUPER lethal up close as she is from mid range, hence why the sunburn perk was a bit much at the time and they channeled that energy into her primary fire.
☀︎ Stop taking the 5+ damage we got for granted. As you climb her solo lethality was lacking, you could hit ALL your shots and if their supports had half a mind to heal while you waited for the charge up, it felt AWFUL. That's where she felt clunky after they nerfed her damage the first time. I'm not sure why people don't remember this?
>The '5' damage made her appropriately lethal where it mattered, instead of people who inted once they locked in her second perk. Continuously calling it useless has me wondering what exactly one is doing on Illari when they pick her.
☀︎ Managing your healing resources on a character who you primarily pick for damage should be a challenge: There has to be drawbacks / a trade off to just being able to throw your pylon down in a good hiding spot and forgetting about it.
☀︎ She isn't CLUNKY OR UNPLAYABLE: She's a great support. The only thing that feels awful / off right now is consistently going for headshots. If you think she's clunky you're being dishonest or perhaps forcing a playstyle on illari that wasn't intended.
>You have to eventually get used to stuff like 'healing beam runs out faster' you can't just act like its the end of the world. Yes it sucks when 'your character' gets nerfed, sometimes the nerfs are extremely questionable, but pretending like they ALWAYS suck outside of banter and continuously spamming a sub with doom posting is immature.
Some people really got hit hard with nerfs lol
Like if you cant aim, why play Illari?
This is the least fun state she’s ever been in
I am sorry but she FEELS terrible to play to me now. I don’t even know how to explain it but she feels unviable as a Support hero, she feels clunky, she feels unfun. I am just so disappointed and discouraged to play her and i lost all the hype i had for her upcoming Mythic skin. It feels like nothing she does is good enough. All the nerfs she got over the past two seasons, since they gave her back 5 damage basically ruined my favorite hero. My aim is not amazing, but i was always able to have consistent aim with her, now i can’t anymore. And the rest of her kit just feels so limited and clunky, especially once your Pylon gets destroyed.
I know that i sound dramatic but i need to vent after playing her for few games today. I can’t get over her entire kit getting nerfs and now her projectiles size being nerfed TOO! Can we please revert her back to pre 5 damage buff??
Illari in Mid-season 2.5 lore update, new sprays + S76/Ana interaction
Hai!
Illari has been given meh and some pretty nice things too this mid-season update. There's already plenty of posts regarding the yucky nerfs and stuff (somewhat fairly), so I wanted to make a post focusing on the nicer things in this update;
Firstly, there's a new interaction between Ana and Soldier 76 that is clearly about Illari. If you haven't seen it yet, it goes like this:
S76: When I was in Peru, I found something you might want to look into.
Ana: I told you. My only mission now is to help anyone in Talon's sight.
S76: There's a girl. I think they're going to add her to their list.
Ana: Alright, I'll investigate. Thank you, Jack.
This interaction is somewhat of a continuation on the Futures Past story (soldier yaoi + Illari lore) and I think it's hinting at Illari finally being connected to the main overwatch cast in the next season. With that said I believe the next season will be huge for Illari as there's already an incoming mythic that's been confirmed by the dev team already.
Secondly.. the sprays ARE CUTE. But I've been wondering what are those dogs in all of the sprays..? Are they dev team pets?? And is the sunflower spray a reference to some viral image that I am missing out on? (like the Sierra nerd spray or the Kiriko bleh spray)
Anyways, what do you guys think about these additions and what do you think will happen to Illari next season? >!And I might be overthinking a lot right now, but is the list supposed to mean Talon is set on killing Illari after the Oasis facility files were destroyed or are they aiming to kidnap her and hold her hostage Sigma style, as she is the only one who could help replicate the solar Inti tech?!< (Futures past lore spoiler ig)
