Poster I made of an alternate Space History, where a small Space Shuttle was built before the moon Landing and was actually successful at being economic. Moon Landing would have been in 1975 but in return a manned Callisto Landing would have happened in 2001.

A pair of Taurian Republic Navy destroyers - TRNS Charger and TRNS Antelope - maneuver in high orbit during fleet exercises.

Destroyers are relatively small and agile multi-role ships, often seen in skirmishing and screening roles for larger vessels. When acting as skirmishers in battlegroups, their offensive firepower is regularly augmented by externally carried heavy anti-ship missiles (as seen here).

July 4th, 1966: The Eagle launches from Jackass Flats, Nevada, booming into the atmosphere and soaring high to confront the oncoming Alien Mothership. As it booms along, it gives the world quite the fireworks display!

Made in GIMP with some references from Celestia (moon was visible from this angle at 8-9 AM apparently!) , Google Earth, and Fantastic Plastic's Orion model. Still in a bit of a art rut, so churned this out quickly. Couldn't find any weather info for the day so the clouds are approximate.
