Aman Sagar - Thon Buri Nights
I directed this music video with just one other person. It's about a guy who becomes a contract killer to deal with his breakup. If you guys fw Frappe Ash there's a fun easter egg in the video. Apart from the obvious Wong Kar Wai influence, this is an homage (and a bit of a spoof) to some of my fav neo-noirs and 'lonely man in a city' genre movies like Dev D, Trainspotting, Fallen Angels, Taxi Driver and also action classics like Mr. and Mrs Smith. Oh and also we shot this in Bangkok. What do you guys think? Thon Buri Nights MV
What got you started on the journey of making music?
When did you realise that you can make songs? And how did you do your first one?
For me, it was two things:.
I used to rent this magazine called Digit Interactive as a child. It used to come with a CD of demo softwares called "Mindware". In one of the editions, it had FL Studio. It was called Fruity Loops then. This is around 2001/2002 I think. I gave it a try and couldnt believe that songs can be made on computers. I started with remaking songs. Slowly in an years time I was making my own music.
I read a book called "Aankhon Bhar Akaash" by Nida Fazli. It was the first time I was able to read and comprehend poetry properly coz the book had annotations on meanings.
Both these happened around the same time. And I started writing and making songs.
What is your journey?

Hey guys I was trying to find more indieheads who are into stuff beyond the usual mainstream playlists.
Would be cool to make a small group/server where people can share music recs, albums, underground artists, rate drops, etc.
If you're interested then plz dm:)

Looking for a bassist and drummer for my band Keede
Delhi musicians — looking for a drummer + bassist for 2 months of jamming/project work with my band Keede.
We play indie/psych/alt rock stuff with Hindi vocals. Think energetic live jams, songwriting sessions, experimenting, recording ideas, and hopefully playing gigs if things click.
We already have released music out:
https://open.spotify.com/artist/6AtVAeL9mRrWG7hTc76GmE?si=TAuwm4bGSs6qxKohEcn-Xw
Looking for people who:
- are based in Delhi/NCR
- are serious about music
- have decent gear
- are into indie/rock/psych/funk influences
Not looking for hired session players — more like collaborators/friends who genuinely vibe with the music.
DM me with:
- your playing videos/music
- influences
- where you’re based
Let’s make some loud weird beautiful music.
Which Indian artist has the most “I’m different” fanbase?
You know the type.
The kind of fanbase that acts like listening to that artist automatically makes them deeper, more evolved, emotionally superior, spiritually awakened, or musically elite compared to everyone else 😭
Which Indian artist do you think has the strongest “you probably wouldn’t get it” fanbase? And why do you think that happens around that artist specifically?
No hate towards the artists themselves btw, just observing fanbase behaviour and music culture.
GOOD MORNING AND LADS AND LADIES!!!
This is my first ever drop. Hope you enjoy.
More to come soon ❤️ happy Friday to all.

Those who say Anuv Jain can't sing shit... Listen to this
I've seen countless criticisms and remarks on jain's style and persona but the most prominent and evident is on his singing. Yes he does blunder sometimes owing to some reasons which everyone need not know but he is not a mindless whisperer like Mr shaan commented. I hope you see how good of a singer he actually is despite of your eyes being blind by the negative propaganda against this boy who wrote songs behind closed doors and rose to fame on his own capability.
I'd suggest you also listen to this
I’m looking for some soulful Hindi Indie album recommendations. Woh albums jo dimaag mein nahi, seedha dil mein utar jayein.

WHIPMANTRA DISASTER : Exposing a systematic water/drink #skam by Skillbox at events - I have backend proof from WhipMantra 4.0
They walked off with 15 lacs by scamming people.
I’m posting this anonymously because I’m a journalist working on a story and I can’t stay silent any longer. I have obtained a screenshot from inside the Skillbox backend used for the WhipMantra 4.0 event by someone in their team in confidence. It proves what many attendees already suspect: a deliberate scam to steal refundable card balances.
Here’s how the scam works, based on the data I’m seeing in their own system:
- Attendees are forced to load money onto event wristbands/cards for food and drinks.
- The event policy says unused balances will be refunded at dedicated counters after the show.
- But staff close those refund counters intentionally early, before the crowd has fully dispersed, while there is still a huge amount of water and drinks left unsold.
- The backend shows that refund processing drops to near zero after a certain time, despite significant stock remaining and hundreds of people still trying to get their money back.
- Unrefunded balances simply stay with the organisers. From what I can see, it’s not a glitch : it’s a feature, repeated across multiple Skillbox events.
The screenshot I have clearly shows:
- Remaining inventory counts (water, soft drinks) when the counters were closed.
- A sharp drop in refund transactions after a specific timestamp, even though sales continued later.
- Zero refunds processed after a certain point, despite people still queuing (per multiple public complaints).
This isn’t a one-off mistake. I’ve spoken to people who witnessed the same at other Skillbox concerts, counters shut down, staff refusing refunds, and hundreds of angry attendees left stranded. The numbers I’ve seen suggest this could add up to lakhs of rupees in unrefunded money per event.
I’m sharing this because Skillbox has ignored complaints and deleted comments. They rely on people not having proof. Well, here it is : direct from their own dashboard.
What should happen now:
If you were at WhipMantra 4.0 or any other Skillbox event and never got your refund, please share your experience below. It’s time this racket stopped.
Collecting data on the Indian artist merch scene—Help a student out?
Hi everyone,
I’m currently doing a research project on the Indian Music ecosystem, specifically focusing on Artist Merchandise.
We all know the "big" global industries (like K-pop or Western Pop) have their merch game figured out, but I want to understand what’s actually happening here in India. Are we buying merch to support the artist? Is it because the designs are actually good? Or is it just too hard to find and too expensive?
If you are a fan and have bought merch in the last 2 years, I’d love to get your perspective.

I'm happy to discuss this in the comments too—what’s the best (or worst) piece of indie merch you’ve seen lately?
Thanks for helping me finish my project!
