mali kasi talaga yung piso per parcel, hindi talaga realistic... kung sinabi mo na lang sana kung sino ang may kayang magbalot ng 700-1000 in 8 hrs... At sana nagbigay ka ng estimate kung ilang parcel yung babalutin para nakontrol yung pupunta...ang ending may nag-uwi ng 50,200,300..tapos wala man lang kayong pameryenda man lang 😭.

Yes, this is a job/worker exploitations. Ang patas na laban sa pasahod ng tao ay dapat per hour/ or minimum wage, hindi per piece. Wala ka na ngang ibibigay na govt mandated benefits, igagaslight mo pa sila na “magbabalot lang”. Napakaraming red flags sa post na ito; Para sa hindi maarte? Hindi kaartehan ang magdemand ng tamang pasahod. Lahat ng tao madiskarte. Walang pilitan? Oo, tama ka, andaming naghihikahos kaya gagamitin mo ang opportunity na ito para mag exploit, may hero syndrome ka talaga noh? Na para bang ililigtas mo sila sa offer mo na ito. I came across a public recruitment post offering ₱1 per parcel for parcel-packing work. The post says that if a worker can pack 2,000 parcels, they can earn ₱2,000, and another comment mentions the possibility of doing 10,000 parcels per day.

My concern is not simply the ₱1 piece rate itself, but whether the piece rate and expected production volume are fair and reasonable under Philippine labor law.

For example, 2,000 parcels in an 8-hour workday would mean:

• 250 parcels per hour

• approximately 1 parcel every 14.4 seconds

That calculation doesn't include time for getting the parcel, preparing the packaging, wrapping/sealing, labeling, checking, moving completed parcels, breaks, or other required tasks.

Under Article 101 of the Labor Code, payment by results—including piecework, pakyao, and other non-time work—is supposed to be regulated to ensure fair and reasonable wage rates, preferably through time-and-motion studies or consultation with worker/employer representatives.

DOLE/NWPC materials also state that workers paid by results are subject to applicable minimum-wage protections for normal working hours, and that piece rates should be established in accordance with Article 101 and its implementing rules.

So my questions are:

1. Is a ₱1-per-parcel rate lawful if the worker cannot realistically reach the applicable minimum wage within normal working hours?

2. Does the employer need a time-and-motion study or production standard to establish the piece rate?

3. If workers are expected to work beyond 8 hours just to reach the advertised income, what labor standards apply?

4. If this is an employer-employee relationship, can DOLE investigate the arrangement even if workers are paid purely by piece rate?

5. What is the proper way to report this to DOLE if the workers themselves are not aware of their rights?

I am not claiming that the post is automatically illegal. I'm asking for clarification from people familiar with Philippine labor law and, if appropriate, guidance on how this should be reported to DOLE for verification.
