Do you all use your personal vehicles?

I'm in CT. I don't have a vehicle so I found a guy i rent from. He charges $250 a week. Unlimited miles. All your responsible for is tires and breaks. It's not a newer car. I'm in a 2008 prius with 280,000 miles on it. It gets the job done and I don't have to worry about wear and tear on a personal vehicle. I take in from 1100 to 1300 a week. Anyone think it's not worth it?

New system is beyond ridiculous

The new ratings system is brutal. Rated based on the number of items you have compared to other shoppers in the area. Since I only take high paying orders my ratings are trash and I don’t even qualify for gold due to it. Lost platinum like two weeks after taking alot of stupid orders the last week before to get it. Now it tossed again and now it’s even lower. Looks like u make less and cherry pick even more. Fuck em.

QR code won’t work?

I’ve been waiting on hold with instacart for the last 30 minutes because when I scanned the QR code to pay it gave an error saying I can’t pay. I tried using the card as well to no avail. Can anyone give any advice?

Edit: she used a card that was expired… I’m gonna lose my freaking mind

Edit 2: adding a new card didn’t work. Was on hold with support for an hour never got a person so we decided that I would just leave even if it didn’t get cancelled, cuz the app wouldn’t let her. So I’m doing DoorDash now

I need help resolving this

Does anybody know how to fix this. I already delivered the orders. The last time this happened Instacart had to clear this out. For me.

Instacart made me cry for the first time today… 😭

This customer was tipping $41.96 in the app for Kroger so I grabbed it fast. When I delivered I helped the customer with getting some of the items to the garage. It was like 51 items total, maybe 6 miles or less… older customer very grateful then hands me $100 CASH… I literally started crying in my car. Never thought I’d see this level of kindness from a customer, truly floored. What a blessing!

Was I supposed to know they wanted 4 instead of 2?

I’ve done almost 9k orders and this finally happened

Had an Instacart order tonight where the customer ordered 1 vanilla ice cream and 1 chocolate ice cream. The store had them BOGO.
I grabbed exactly what the app showed: one vanilla and one chocolate. After delivery, the customer messages me:
“The ice cream was buy one get one. We’re missing 2 more.”
Apparently they expected 2 vanilla and 2 chocolate, so they could pay for one of each and get another of each free.
But if you wanted FOUR ice creams, why wouldn’t you put the quantities as 2 vanilla and 2 chocolate? The app showed two items, so I got two items. How am I supposed to know that quantity 1 actually means “grab me 2 because it’s BOGO”?

Question about cashiers

Is it just me or like it seems like cashiers as soon as they see it's an instacart order seem to have a problem. Not allowed to use self checkout in specific stores and I'm always very nice and what not. I've been doing this since 2019 and just within the past year or so it just feels like the energy checking out is always negative. Tell me what yall experience?

Absolute nonsense

I did an order a week ago, and the customer just reported today that I purchased the wrong item 🙄not a replacement, literally what she ordered. I scanned the box of shoes in Target and guess what it was right even matched the image.... look at this nonsense. The tag she is holding even matches the targets website. How was this verified by instacart???? I was tipped an entire $3.50 to drive 5 miles to Target, then shop and drive 5.5 miles to her. Low and behold, I also got a ding to my account on top of it. This was batched, so of course we don't know till it's over. Photos in the comments since I can only post 1

Instacart is going downhill

The new CEO needs to go. He is the downfall of this company.

The last few times that I took orders I noticed that some of them said heavy Pay and it was not a single heavy item in the order so now they fuck over the customers as well that’s pretty sad and pathetic.

Don’t take low ball offers.

Hey shoppers I just want to throw it out there out there because it’s becoming increasingly obvious that some of you may not realize this but when you take these low offers say 18 miles for $10.00 for 3 customers, you’re basically giving Instacart a reason to keep doing things like that if you don’t accept the crappy offers, they’ll stop giving them. That’s all drive safe.
