This app update blows…..

First job of the morning. Ten items. The store has all 10 items in stock. However, when I go to scan the fruit salad, it keeps ringing up as pineapples. There are four more of the same item on the shelf, and they all scan as pineapples, too.
The updated app wouldn’t let me substitute the item or add it manually. So, I contacted support for help because it was clearly the correct item shown in the picture. Their solution? Tell the store to re-label the fruit correctly.
You’re giving me seven minutes to shop for 10 items, and you expect me to find someone in the produce department to put a new sticker on a container of fruit? Are you kidding me?
Twenty minutes later, after two stickers, the item STILL scans as pineapple in the app, but now it rings up as mixed fruit at the register. I can’t purchase it because the app still doesnt recognizes it as an accepted item.
So, I end up delivering nine out of 10 items and get dinged for an unauthorized refund issue, when this order could have been 100% complete if the app had worked as it used to.
Since this new update, it honestly feels like they’re setting us up to fail and then penalizing us for problems that are completely outside our control. We’re expected to meet unrealistic time limits, troubleshoot app issues, and somehow make everything work while support offers solutions that waste even more of our time.
Then we get pushed into the Needs Work category for things we didn’t cause and couldn’t fix.
How are shoppers supposed to maintain a high rating and meet performance expectations when the very tools we’re required to use are working against us?

No receipt , no tip…

Had a 3-order batch. Customer C isn’t answering ANY of my chat messages regarding substitutions, while I am shopping.

About 15 minutes from their house, they finally text me and tell me to bring them the paper receipt.
I explain that they should have a receipt from IC and that I don’t have one to give them. They start complaining that they’ve paid $8 more, their customer loyalty credits are missing, etc. I look at the receipt, confirm that all of the discounts were applied, and advise them to contact customer service regarding the rest.

I call Help, and the guy notes the account and specifically tells me, “Do not give the customer the receipt under any circumstances.” I agree, but I also ask him to PLEASE call the customer before I get to the house and explain this to them.
In the meantime, I’m driving to Customer B’s home and getting barraged with messages from Customer C. Then he threatens, “No receipt, no tip.”
Now I’m irritated AND uncomfortable.
I call Help again, and this time I get a woman. I tell her to please read the chat because, by this point, I’m fuming. I’m also concerned that I’m going to be confronted at the door over something that is completely out of my control.
I finally tell the customer that I’m too old to stand at someone’s door arguing over a situation that can and should be resolved by IC. And if they feel my services don’t warrant a tip, that’s their prerogative.
The rep stays on the phone with me while I make the delivery. I take MANY pictures of the bags and then the customer’s door. Customer never comes outside.
I drive away, check my batch summary and…
AH DIDN’T PROVIDE A TIP TO BEGIN WITH. 🙄
All of that “no receipt, no tip” drama over a tip that NEVER EXISTED. 😂

Store closing and kicked out!

***I don’t shop past 5pm ** today I made the exception. At 7:30pm I got a batch of 2 and unbeknownst to me the store was closing in less than 30 minutes and I had 45 minutes of shopping . I hadn’t even noticed that the aisles were getting sparse with people. Finally, someone from the store came up to me and said that they were closing and I had to come to the register. I still had about four items to get.
When I got to the register, the last two things I picked up would not scan and then the card kept declining . Both orders , the workers were angry and I was frustrated. I felt like leaving everything on the belt. Almost all the fruit was empty and so many items were refunded. Plus the 4 items not yet located.

My shopping quality jumped to standard !!
I almost always find what I need or find a suitable replacement. Suddenly today, I had many missing items today in all of my batches. I did more 10 refunds. How do I fix this?

There ought to be a rule….

I’m in Baltimore. Yesterday I delivered to a high rise condo downtown. This person had over $200/ 60+ items in groceries in 20 bags because of heavy items. I get to the address, there’s no parking or delivery area so I called the concierge who offers to bring huge bin to the bike lane area. I have to circle the block again to pull in to this tiny opening to unload. After I’m finished, I pull off and look at the details of this batch. The tip was $1 🥴
