First time having these, having heard so much about them on here and in other places too.

I finished them with milk per packet instructions. They were surprisingly good, the noodle being broad rather than round was a great choice for gripping the sauce well. And that sauce!

To me, it tasted almost nostalgic. Reminded me strongly of Knorr Pastaria Carbonara specifically from years ago. In a positive way! Creamy, slightly beefy, no spice and a slight sweetness, perhaps from the milk.

I know I'll be fighting my kids for these in the future, they're definitely getting added to my must buy list in future!

Mushroom & Chicken KANG SHI FU

Mushroom & Chicken KANG SHI FU.

These noodles were recommended to me by friends and people who live in China, and it was a terrible experience.

Forgive me, lovers of these noodles. But these are the worst noodles I've ever eaten. The broth is the worst, plus the fat feels like it was simmered until it burned. And no mushroom flavor at all.

My rating is 1/5, one point only for the noodles themselves.

Pleased

All new to me. I already tried the Indomie Vegetable. Tbey flavor, as well as the texture of the noodle was excellent. 10 out of 10. I understand why people recomend them so much.

Mama Artificial Pork Flavor

These are seriously good. I had them just now and I'm honestly still kinda salivating at how flavorful they are. It doesn't even need any extra ingredients, it's just perfect by itself. I might even like these more than the Mama Shrimp Creamy Tom Yum since these are 10/10 WITHOUT me adding an eggyolk, laogonma and buldak sauce

Also they're kinda spicy which I love, my lips are still burning a little bit but they're definitely not too spicy, more like a mild spicy sensation

Edit: reading the ingredients it looks like, at least in Europe where I live, these are vegetarian and don't contain any actual meat. do with that information what you will.

Are there instant ramen brands with zero green bits or green veggie pieces?

I love instant ramen but I'm extremely picky about food, especially veggies and spices, anything green (except cabbage) is an instant dealbreaker for me. Those visible green flakes or big spice pieces completely ruin taste for me.

For about a week I was hooked on a sweet chili of some brand variety because it looked totally clean when cooked. No weird bits, great chili/paprika flavor, nice heat. Then around day 3–4 I started getting cups loaded with green stuff, felt like a gamble I didn't sign up for, so I had to stop buying them.

Is there any brand making flavours out there that's consistently free of green veggies or large spice pieces? Am I the only one weirdly picky about this?

Jazzed up some quick noodles for my 6 year old. He’s spoiled.

Broth was great. Noodles were okay. I would get it again for the broth. I added some butter.

So I tried Jin Spicy..

Seen this compared to shin a lot. I think nongshims bone broth is much richer, this is more like shin red, but I still found it a bit lacking in flavor. I really like the noodles however, 10/10 ideal instant noodle texture for me.

I’d definitely eat it again, but for the amount of sodium (81% DV) I expected more flavor. Probably gonna add some fish sauce next time and it’ll be better.

8.5/10

Ideas for leftover soup base packets?

Ended up with extra packets from my Shin ramen. Have made a sauce before with them using sriacha and peanut butter, and if I needed spicy broth I can make it. Any unique or fun ideas on how to make use of these? Besides self defense pocket sand.

Tierlist of the noodles I ate (at least more than 3 times each)

Forgot to add the Buldak Hot chicken Cheese in D tier. I dislike the taste of the dehydrated cheese powder. Chapaghetti is really low for me because I'm used of home made "Zhajiangmian" so I cannot bare this one. For the Soy sauce i just find it really boring and uninteresting.

I don't have much more options in my country sadly and most are ordered online. Only a few of them are avaliable in shops near my home. I wish i could try some non fried ones one day...

I often add toppings like eggs, greens, even cheese and milk on most of them.

What do you think of my tierlist, what do you add to your noodles and which ramen are your top 3 ?

The holy grail of instant ramen shops?

I found this massive selection in Jakarta. Where’s the largest selection you’ve seen?

Jin Noodles

Didn't these used to be good? I bought these for the first time in a long time and they are flavorless. They have no heat

heavenly duo

Leftover buldak sauce (cus I use 2 tsp at a time) + Panera mac n cheese from Costco = heaven on the tongue (cheesy, spicy, a little tang) and SOO much better than the freaky sweet cheese of the Buldak carbonara

What's your favorite combo of things that might not seem like an obvious duo?

How to like ramen again? (asking for brand/recipe recommendations)

Five months ago, I wasn't able to stomach a pack of Maruchan because of the sauce I added. I haven't been able to eat it since. I really miss it :[

Since I'm basically starting from scratch again, what sort of ramen do y'all recommend?

This is time sensitive since I'm going to college soon. Like, the number one time of your life you eat ramen. If I can't survive off of ramen in college, I'm doomed.

Protein Ramen with Buldak Noodle Sauce : Sweet & Spicy vs. Pure Spicy

Left: Sweet & Spicy, Right: Pure Spicy

I'm more into sweet and spicy—what about you guys? Do you like Sweet & Spicy?

Tell me your favorite instant ramen of all time!

And why. How spicy is it, if at all?

As you can probably tell I am new to this lol

Never knew I needed a Shin Toomba Table until now 🤭

The Buldak Table was at an awkward corner away from the shop 👀 Love the shelves, the instant noodles cooking machine and of course the Shin Toomba Table! I totally forgot to take photo of the Machine cause I kept taking selfies with the ramen xD.

Added Beef to Ramen at Work

🫣🫣🫣 don’t judge me but I was desperate at work!

I went to the store before work and purchased some items to eat at for lunch and a couple items for home. One of the items for work was a spicy Jin ramen instant cup I’ve never had before but I had nothing to go with it……except thinly sliced beef (shabu) I bought at the store to make a meal at home.

So I opened the beef up, and added it to my instant cup and poured the water in and currently waiting for it to finish cook 🫣 I hope this goes well, wish me luck!!!
