Hello, my copy of the 12th Manga volume arrive and I am surprised it has the 12+ rating, I would have at least labeled it 15+.

Theory of where AFT is stored in his body.

Now I’m on my second full read through.

It is established that when Village Chief is not actively using the AFT in its physical form, he doesn’t receive its benefits (ie unlimited stamina, not hungry, not thirsty, and things.)

Now the AFT comes from the fertility Goddess/Farming Goddess.

Throughout the series VC is able to increase his workload and skills with using the AFT. For example, his ability to plow/seed more and more field throughout the years, all by himself.

Now… I would argue that the AFT is storage in his “little Village Chief”.

VC’s main argument, at first, is that his heart cannot take the amount of women who want to sleep with him. Then the women sort themselves out, as to who wants to sleep with VC and who doesn’t feel the need to sleep with VC, procreation reasons. Now, we all know, VC ends up adding more women to his harem, despite this happening.

Health Body is all fine but it is establish that even if he has “healthy body” his endurance and stamina is normal with AFT being put away or isn’t physically used.

Now Loo establish that VC was too much for her alone, even Tier mention that even with them two together that VC is still too much. Which the high elves then enter. Then more and more women.

Just like how his ability to do more with the AFT with farming, he is ability to handle more and more members to his harem.

The fertility Goddess maybe doubling as a procreation fertility Goddess. I mean he was able to have a child, twice so far, with a vampire, which are famously known to be undead, and has successfully impregnated long lived races, which have low birth rates.

Whatcha think?

Ship of Theseus

A → B → C → D
Ship of Theseus

What would need to be changed without the kids

Someone had asked for a list of storylines and plots that would be affected without the kids. This is a list of just without Tizel as it’s likely the largest list and is a pretty big domino effect.

All of this is mostly from my rereading the WN so there might be some details that I am missing or got wrong, so here goes.

Kiabit and the Angel Trials only occurred cause Tia got married and gave birth to Tizel.

Following that that means the Harpies wouldn’t have come to the village, nor would Kiabit, Suaruriu, or Suarukou

These were kept in despite not really making sense without Tizel or Tia’s marriage in general.

Without at least Tizel Tia’s mom, Ruincia, wouldn’t want to come to the village and force Kiabit to take her.

That also means that the Angel Chief Malbit would likely never go to the village though you could argue this.

Since neither Ruincia or Malbit would go to the village VC wouldn’t get the World Tree.

Even if they did go to the village, him having angel kids (plural) and wives was what made them believe giving the tree was a good idea.

Without the World Tree, Suarurou (leader of the other angel faction) wouldn’t go to the village at all.

No Roze Maria cause no Gran Maria’s marriage or kid.

Since the essentially three leader of the entire angel tribe and their religious/cultural relic (the world tree) wouldn’t be in the village they wouldn’t consider migrating.

Reginleif, the oldest angel still awake, wouldn’t want to charge into the village without the talk of a complete angel migration.

The consideration and planning on the migration of all the Angels was more or less kickstarted by everything above.

The migration is the whole cause of a several hundred chapters long background and front plot of the Garret kingdom, one of three major human countries, having essentially a civil war, collapse, and splitting into different factions/kingdoms due to how their entire kingdom heavily revolves around the Angels.

The name of the new kingdom was to be decided via darts and wooden boards and was almost named “ahhhh kingdom” (not really important but it was funny so I included it).

Without the World Tree Guronde, Girar’s wife, wouldn’t be healed and so is left in the cave without moving to the village.

Tizel wouldn’t go to the demon king academy and so all of her shenanigans of being a shadow president wouldn’t happen.

The Dalfon company as a whole just can’t exist as their entire screen time is related to Tizel essentially taking the company over for fun.

Tizel doing the Demon King’s paper work and having control of like a quarter of the kingdom and multiple armies wouldn’t happen and neither would any of the changes she imposes.

The comedy of Tizel not being allowed to go anywhere without adult supervision and tethered to said adult via rope is gone.

Tizel trying to make the village chief into the True Demon King and popularize him throughout the entire kingdom wouldn’t happen.

Tizel going on to help unite 40some kingdoms into a new unified one would be erased.

Hakuren and VC’s children with her, specifically Hiichiro, also a plays pretty big role:

Village Chief being married to Hakuren and Rasuti is that reason the majority of the dragons go to the village.

No Hiichiro means the ancient dragons wouldn’t all go to the village to celebrate so the sun castle wouldn’t/shouldn’t even be introduced since the reason it arrived at the village is cause it’s made to fly towards a large group of ancient dragons, which normally only happens when the planet is about to just go poof.

No sun castle means no dream demons or the Mercuries who have been reoccurring characters since their introduction, mostly the mercuries though.

The last like 200 chapters of the WN have had at least one of the Mercuries in them, with the weapons maniac Yoru being the center of focus and source of comedic events so they require the sun castle to exist.

Girar and his daughter only stay within the story due to Hiichiro’s existence.

The elf kingdom’s introduction and destruction is directly and specifically related to Hiichiro because he is Hakuren’s son.

It should be noted that this all happens specifically because Hiichiro is Hakuren’s son, so you can’t really even try and patch it with adoption or be a godfather, except maybe the sun castle.

There’s probably more I’m forgetting and there are also the other children, the high elf children who leads to the introduction of Ria’s mom Rigune, who would have their own lists but these two cover most of everything from season 2 and beyond, like actually chapters 200+ of a roughly 1000 chapter series that’s still ongoing.

Now this isn’t that big of an issue you just need to have one of his other kids repla- oh wait you can’t cause they dont exist.
Tizel’s list alone covers like half the WN, I am not kidding, and there’s still the events and characters that only are relevant or appear because of of relationship between Village Chief and his wife/wives.

What’s more this is only in regard to the kids, the anime also cut some of the funny events that happen between farming as part of comedic or slice of life fluff for some reason, I’m assuming it’s cause they have little to do with farming and the person in charge wants this anime to be only about farming, so I can only imagine what the rest of the series would look like considering the farming aspect gets reduced at about the chapter 300 mark.

Bonus: in my opinion the anime goes beyond being anti-harem and is arguably anti-romance in general. Like I genuinely cannot remember any intimate interaction between Lu and Village Chief in season 2 besides MAYBE the Angel Trials with Kiabit.

This really makes me wonder how they would adapt the three beast boys, who are essentially VC’s godkids, considering that all three go out of the village and start families themselves.

One of them has a single wife

another two wives

and the third, Bron, unleashes the full power of an isekai protagonists and has at least a 10 wives who he met through various isekai protagonists scenarios like defeating them in battle, saving from thieves, and what not. What’s more is it’s implied that the number of wives increases every time he goes out to the point that his current wives say they want kids first before he inevitably goes outside the house and brings back someone else.

Love tackling of a vampire

Yeah, you forgot that his wife is actually a vampire.
She’s kind of a daywalker where she could walk out in the daylight perfectly fine.
Apparently, she’s known as a “noble vampire“

Isekai Nonbiri Nouka Light Novel (22 Volumes) Commission Proposition

For anyone out there who might be interested, I bring the following offer: full translation of the series into English, all currently available 22 volumes, with the addition of others once they become avaliable. Translated into either a .docx file or .pdf file, or whatever other format might be best/to your liking.

I do beleive that a while ago I posted a part of the translation in this sub, so with that you can judge for yourself if my translation style is to your liking. As for some of the details:

The way I price my commissions is as follows:

-> I translate the entire volume, from which I get the total number of English words in the file.

-> I then divide the total number of English words into "parts" (without cutting the text itself, of course) roughly 1500 English words each.

-> Then each part is priced at +/- 10$ and summed up.

-> From my previous experiences, novels of about 250+ pages long tend to be anything between 30 to 40 parts.

-> As for the time needed to translate one full volume, it is usually anywhere between 4 to 5 weeks, 6 on rare occasions. (I mostly translate in the evenings, once I get back from my day University job).

-> This of course applies to the standard 255 pagers, as for longer books this time is obviously going to become longer accordingly.

-> Also, as a personal principle, I never ask for any money before the entirety of the commission is done and the client is satisfied with the result.

-> I can also send you parts of the commission (chapters) once they are done.

Alright, that should be about it. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask them! I'll try to answer them to the best of my ability.

Yeah, final episode is out and "THANKS" to that IDIOTIC DIRECTOR, we almost certainly won't have a season 3. Couldn't he at least include a scene of Tia getting pregnant with his dim-witted brain?

True story: the finale of season one of farming life made me tear up a bit.

(I’m not gonna lie. I actually nearly teared up when watching farming life like I enjoyed it. It was all right funny at times. But I never thought I was gonna cry at the end. it’s all right. Maybe it was I watched this anime around the same appropriate time something similar in real life. What happened was my sister was pregnant and around the time season one was over she gave birth to my nephew. Alex

The thing I did appreciate about the anime was it didn’t show Hiraku having his Libido.

Even though it was unlikely, I would love the anime to basically continue with Hiraku basically balancing his new life with becoming a father, making sure that his son never gets sick or ends up in the same position he was. all the while, balancing the fact that he’s a vampire, but that is something.

Is the manga toned down too?

After seeing how much season 2 had toned down the series, I picked up the manga and started reading from chapter 1. I recently finished upto the chapter of when Tia giving birth to her daughter but what what can i say it was kinda underwhelming tbh. And it felt like the manga has too little romance and just some off screen banging. I don't think the manga ever portrayed Hiraku loving Tia atleast for now. So I don't know whether the manga is also toned version of the web novel.

I mean that opening scene of the archfiend crashing to Earth. Like I expected farming life to go down a darker path. (like here’s my AU fanfic of it)

After the anime

Hello guys
I heard that the season of the anime doesn’t really follow the route from the manga so I’m considering to read the manga but where should I start if I want to start after S1 ? Or do you think I should start from chapter 1 ?

Farming Life in Another World Manga assortment (Amazon)

Yes, I adore the show but, why anime studios do such poor adaptations? They take a MC who is both respectful and upfront about a harem and the women accept it, to then one who is wondering most of the time what does the multiple women mean.
