Price feels to good to be true. I feel like I’ll be scammed

Price feels to good to be true. I feel like I’ll be scammed

I’ve never purchased a rep before so I need guidance

I inquired about the price of this ring with Caratsky and I was quoted $1950 for platinum, 18k & natural diamonds.

I feel like that’s TOO cheap especially for10g and around 1.0-1.3 carats

Has anyone actually tested their jewelry after receiving anything from them? Someone told me they could be using the cheapest materials there are, is that the case? Maybe the clarity of the diamonds is low? He says they’re VS clarity.

Also if I were to receive the ring & discover that maybe it isn’t real gold or platinum or that the diamonds aren’t natural what happens then?

EDIT: I asked about a certificate & he said the diamonds are too small for certificates.

Opus Mini Love Pave

Went with opus for this power pinky and couldn’t be happier. It’s such a small but blinding visual interest.

His price was the most competitive at the moment I asked for quotes so I wanted to test him out since my usual is vinko or miss Chen. The communication is top tier and the ring is dead gorgeous. Production time was faster than the usual sellers (PSP came 9 days after payment). Definitely will come back for more orders in the future.

Size 45 $500

mixed metal stack w/ my new ring

received this 6 prong solitaire from lili jewels couple of weeks ago and matching it with my YG love ring since then.something abt the warm yg next to the icy white diamond feels more interesting than just matching everything. however, my friend said it looks intentional, and my other friend said it looks like i forgot to take one off

thoughts?? should i just commit to one or the other

Funny’s Pave VCA Alh4mbra Haul

Hi guys! I decided to branch out and try other sellers and I made my first purchases with Funny. We had a few hiccups along the way but now that I have the pieces in my hands, I am so happy.

Price for necklace: $6500 CNY or $957 USD

Price for earrings; $3700 CNY or $545 USD

Lab diamonds

Timeline:

May 25: confirmed order and paid by PayPal

June 8: received PSPs for earrings

June 11: received PSPs for necklace

June 14: received tracking number

June 23: the shipping company finally scanned the package and it’s began its journey

June 25: received package

Funny was a pleasure to work with and I like that she updates her prices often so that if gold price drops she does adjust it downward!

That being said, we did have two small hiccups.

First little issue was that I put the order in as white gold and then an hour later I asked if it was too late to change to yellow gold. She confirmed it as yellow gold and then when I received the PSPs it was a white gold necklace. This was my mistake, ordering the wrong gold in the first place and I was just surprised when I received the pictures. It was fine in the end since I like white gold in this style anyway.

The second issue was that the package was not scanned into the shipping company’s system for 9 days. This was not Funny’s fault but the courier company.

It did cause me to worry since the wait time between received the tracking number and it getting scanned into the system had always been around 1-3 days. All was well in the end but it did add some stress to the buying process and made the time between greenlighting the PSPs to receiving, a total of 2 weeks.

Overall, I would definitely try Funny again!

Vintage Alhambras from Gavivi, Opus, and Andy Chan

I wanted to do a quick comparison between 3 VCA Vintage Alhambra single-motif necklaces made by 3 different sellers. I have not had a chance to handle an auth, so keep that in mind, as I'm not sure which is more accurate.

White MOP by OpusAtelier
Black Onyx by Andy Chan
Pave Lab Diamonds by Gavivi

First, let me say that I love all 3 of these necklaces; there isn't a "dud," per se, among them. However, there are some differences between each maker.

Chains: All 3 chains are sparkly and well-made, but Gavivi's feels higher-quality and slightly thicker/heavier than the other two. Using precision calipers, the OpusAtelier and AC chains measure 1.32-1.33mm at the thickest, whereas Gavivi's measures 1.45mm at its thickest. It's a subtle but real difference you can see and feel in-hand. When I weigh them on my gram scale, being very careful to put all of the chain on the scale, but holding the motif in my hand (therefore trying to weigh only the chain part of each necklace), Gavivi's weighs more. The MOP chain weighs 3.2g, the onyx weighs 3.3g, and the pave weighs 3.5g. In the chain close-up pic, Gavivi's is the thicker one on the left. I don't know whether the auths use 1.33mm or 1.45mm. It's also possible that the auth diamond pave just has a thicker chain than the auth MOP/onyx but I would need someone more familiar with the brand to say if that's true.

Color: Very very hard to photograph the gold colors accurately. I pretty much gave up. In real life, though, OpusAtelier's gold leans a titch cooler/ greener in hue; Andy Chan's is a little warmer/more brassy; Gavivi's is sort of in between. In the QC pics I got (and a few of my own), Gavivi's looked really yellow, but IRL, it is much paler. Gavivi's color is my own personal favorite, because of my pale skin, followed by Opus, and then AC. But someone tanner may prefer otherwise.

Clasps: The easiest, smoothest-opening clasp is on the Opus MOP; AC and Gavivi are both equal in 2nd place. The Opus jump ring (the first one) has the eagle stamp on it. AC's has no stamp at all. Gavivi has 3 stamps on that jump ring.

Motif size: Gavivi's pave motif is about 1/10 of a mm smaller than the other two, but I must say that measuring this with my calipers was really difficult - do you try to measure bead-to-bead or go on the inner rim around the edge? I didn't want to scratch the MOP or onyx either. When I stack all 3 on top of each other, they all look to be exactly the same size, but I do think the Gavivi pave is oh-so-slightly smaller. It is also less thick, but that may be how the auth pave is compared to auth MOP/onyx. I'm not sure.

Chain length: Both Gavivi and AC have the auth chain length of 42cm with a jump ring at 38cm. OpusAtelier's length, sadly, is quite off, with a total length of 43.5cm and the 2nd jump ring at 39.5cm.

Weights: MOP: 5.1g; Onyx 5.1g; Pave 5.8g. These are all accurate to their auth equivalents. The pave always weighs more.

Overall, I love all of them, but am partial to the pave. Would love any observations you all might add, even better if you have an auth to compare to!

SILVER GIRLIESSSSS HELPPPP

Wear and Tear of White Gold

Hi, white gold lovers! I have a question.
I’m thinking about purchasing a white gold Perlée bracelet, and I’m curious how yours have held up over time.

I like stacking my bracelets, and I wear my white gold Love bracelet from Miss Chen daily. The rhodium plating started wearing off fairly quickly, especially along the sides where it constantly rubs against my other bracelets. Those areas have developed quite a noticeable yellow tone.

I’m wondering how white gold bracelets from other sellers have held up with everyday wear. Have you experienced similar wear and tear, or has the rhodium plating lasted well?

Love Pave QC

Would love some expert eyes on this please!

Caratsky $4400

Yellow gold.

Medium Pave, lab.

Size 17

New 1 screw style

Specifically, the corners where paws might usually be were triangles on the factory photos (last pic) but my PSP shows dots, I’ve tried looking at Auth on website but the pics aren’t clear, what’s correct for 2026? Also, they look slightly irregular, some bigger some smaller, is that irregularity acceptable or usual on quality jewelry pave?

Also is the 7-6-7 stone layout correct for a size 17? Website shows some as 6-5-6 layout (possibly only on the 15 & 16?)

Thanks for your help! less

Nadine Ghosn recommendations

Have any of you ordered Nadine Ghosn reps (pencil bracelet and Sparks Heart bracelet in particular)? Any sellers offer it?

first purchase, thoughts?

hi all, this is my first rep purchase and i went straight for a Graff butterfly necklace because apparently i don't ease into things lol

the chain has three different motifs. a flower cluster, an open butterfly in the center, and a smaller butterfly/cross shape on the other side, with two bezel-set diamond stations on the chain itself. to me it all looks clean but i actually don't know what i'm supposed to be checking for

is there anything i should check with the seller or anything to be mindful of?

please help me QC my sweet earrings

I received QC photos for my order and I also added a boutique reference photo.

I’m noticing that the prongs in the middle look a bit different.. on one earring the center looks slightly smaller/tighter, and on the other it looks more spaced out.

Thank you!

Pave Vintage Alhambra from Gavivi

I'm writing a review for the VCA pave Vintage Alhambra 18k gold and lab diamond pendant I just received today from Gavivi. This is my 3rd VCA Vintage Alhambra pendant; I also own a MOP from OpusAtelier and a black onyx from Andy Chan. I will be doing a comparison between the 3 on a different thread, but for now, I will just say that this one is my favorite of all of them!

Price: $1050 + 5% insurance (refundable) Full disclosure: I will get my 5% insurance fee refunded for writing a review; however, this opinion is fully truthful.

Timeline:

6/14: Asked for price quote
6/15 Made 30% deposit
6/27: PSPs sent and I approved
6/29: Shipped
7/2: Received!

I know there are some people on here who are skeptical of the Gavivi reviews. It does seem like he is popping up pretty often lately, as I think more of us are trying him. I have made my post history public, so feel free to look through my previous posts, because I'm not a plant or shill. I own other pieces from MissChen (small Love w/ 6 diamonds), AC (onyx vintage Alhambra), Funny (Mini Frivole bracelet and pendant), Gavivi (sweet onyx earrings) and OpusAtelier (MOP vintage Alhambra + 2016 holiday pendant). However, Gavivi will likely be my primary TS moving forward. I appreciate that he accepts PayPal; he has great communication, pricing is fair, though I wish it were a bit lower; shipping is lightning fast and included in the price; insurance is fully refundable.

I'm very impressed with the lab diamonds on this piece - they are very sparkly! The gold color is not overly yellow in person as it appears in the pics; IRL, it's much paler. The necklace feels high quality (higher than my other two, actually). Overall just very happy with it!

Opus Atelier first impressions

I ordered my first pieces ever through their group buy towards the end of it. I wanted white gold and chalcedony stone alhambra and 55mm ring.

Ordered: June 16th - placed a 50% deposit

QC: June 24th - Paid the other 50% + insurance (they do refund some insurance back if you write a review)

Recieved: July 1st

They were super responsive and easy to work with. I wasn't sure what to expect because it was my first ever purchase. Everything feels really solid in terms of the clasp and the quality. I haven't had time to bring it in to get tested yet but I'd definitely order from them again. I opted out of getting the boxes since they were pieces just for myself but their own boxes are really good quality and plush!! They also packaged everything super nicely and it was all wrapped up.

Disclaimer: Opus Atelier offers some partial insurance refund for a reddit review but the opinions are still all my own.

Help QC JUC Bracelets from JustinLuxury

Any input would be appreciated. I’m interested in an 18k white gold piece but thought I’d purchase a couple of plated pieces to see if I like the look.

Thank you in advance!
