Buying my first car

Hello everyone I am from Mumbai and I live in a joint family where we already have a brezza and a safari. I am thinking of buying the jimny as "my" first car. But I am also worried about the e20 e100 norms. Also is there a facelift on the way? Are there any spy shots? Should I wait or just get one?

Filling XP95 in jimny beneficial or did i waste my money?

in the manual it says RON 91 or higher

but i want to ask if it is actually beneficial for car for better fuel system and engine health or higher fuel economy?

since i cant feel any difference in my jimny after filling in XP95 like i felt in my i20 2023 (also E20 compatible )

Facing this issue in Alpha AT Infotainment system

https://preview.redd.it/osoh0gte6c1h1.png?width=832&format=png&auto=webp&s=02e1c09e61b634a4b8aa0238bc92d943916c31a5

when i wirelessly connect Android auto ( Samsung S24 Ultra ) to my Jimny Alpha AT Infotainment system

the Google map view does not switch to night more automatically when headlight sensor detects darkness ( like it happens with my other cars )

but sometimes when i enter an underpass and headlight turns on, for a second Maps switches to Night mode for a second or two but then quickly switches back to Light mode, which means it has the feature, it is just not working correctly

Any fix??

Bye bye Jimny?

A little birdie from maruti tells me that they are discontinuing the production of Jimny in the near future, for India. Any one else from there who can confirm this? What would happen to current owners in this scenario?

Infotainment volume sudden drop

Jimny Alpha AT connected with S25 via wireless AA.

While listening to the music, sometimes volume suddenly gets dropped. This is random. And sound is little distorted. Is this speaker issue or HU ? Anyone facing this issue?

Took my Jimny to Tehri Dam!

Finally took the Jimny to Tehri Dam, Kanatal and Rishikesh and this thing absolutely belongs in the mountains.

did a mix of highway cruising, steep climbs, rough patches, and dusty roads (got a bit worried about the snorkel + DIA Setup I have, but its all good). The short wheelbase and light weight make it ridiculously fun on hill roads and it feels capable enough to go exploring without stressing too much.

The best part wasn’t even the driving though, it was just sitting there near the dam, mountains in the background, completely disconnected from city noise for a while.

People joke about the Jimny being tiny until they see where it can comfortably take you.

Tyre upsizing-continental cross contact 215/75/R15

Owners who have upsized their tyres to continental cross contact please do comment, for how much did u got and how much did you got for the stock tyres.

I’m also considering apollo apterra , as it gives a much wider stance . Does it give speedo errors, mileage drops? What about suspension problems.

Please do help

Been noticing a weird issue with my petrol car’s fuel filling lately and wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this.

I’ve been using the same car since 2023. Normally, when the fuel is almost empty and I go for a full tank, it usually takes around 38 to 39 litres max. My car’s official fuel tank capacity is 40L, so that always made sense because some fuel is still left in the tank.

But from the last few fuel top-ups, I’ve started seeing strange numbers:

- 40L, 40.5L, 40.85L, even 41L once

And this is while there was still some fuel remaining before refill. I’m unable to understand how a 40L tank is suddenly accepting more than 40L consistently.

Could this be:

- Air gap / expansion in tank design?

- Different auto cut-off sensitivity?

- Or am I missing something technically?

Would really appreciate if someone with automotive knowledge can explain this. It has genuinely confused me.
