Zero turn Toro z340 mower noise

Is this what a zero turn is supposed to sound like? Just changed the fluid to synthetic 20w50. Thinking might change to 15w50? Thanks for your help in advance.

John Deere S110 Deck Vibration

I have had this mower for about a year bought new. This mower deck has vibrated from day 1.

I have had the deck off and checked the blade balance which is good the blades also match in the edge to edge postion. The spindles spin smoothly and are mounted tight. The two idler pullys the large one spins well the little on not as well but maybe that just a size issue.

As well as I can tell things seem to be OK. I do have a 19 year old beat up Toro lx 425 with a much smoother deck operation,

Anyway here is a video of the s110s deck running. Maybe some could spot a issue with or any ideas.

X304 Slight backfire at idle.

Hey everyone, just curious if this sounds normal. I previously had an X300 with the same Kawasaki engine, and I don’t remember it having this slight popping sound at idle.

As soon as you give it any throttle, the sound goes away and the engine seems to run normally. It was also just serviced with a new air filter, engine oil/filter, fuel filter, and spark plugs.

I only run REC-90 ethanol-free fuel in my tractors, so I’d be a little surprised if it were a carburetor/fuel issue.

Any suggestions, or does this sound completely normal for these engines? Curious what others think. Thanks!

F687 John Deere ztrak lawn mower

I finished cutting grass and shut it down to trim and went to start it back up and had no power to the key! No dash lights come on when I turn the key nothing happens at all. I have changed the battery and cleaned all cables and also changed ignition switch to brand new but I still do not have any power to key! I did use screwdriver to solenoid and it turned so I have power to that from battery! There is not an inline fuse that was previously taken out!
I thought it could be a safety switch but everything I have googled said it’s not that but not sure
If anyone could help me that would be great

New to me 314

New to me and I have big plans for it in due time. I got it because it’s in great shape and looks to only been used to mow.
I plan to upgrade the hydraulics and clean up and paint the frame. I want a little buck loader with the gravel in the near future too, along with a 3 point. I need to work some OT and get some attachments.

80% complete "Restoration" of a 1990 STX 38

Well, I got this machine for $160.... probably $200-$300 later, it's got..... new paint (not completely done yet), carb, head gasket, head, cleaned valve train, new stator and rectifier, adjusted steering wheel (my eye hated the steering wheel not being straight when the wheels were straight), new decals, plus

By the serial, this is a 1990 yellow deck. Guy I bought it from paid the dealer to redo the pulleys, spindles and electric PTO prior to my purchase.

It's a gift for my FIL for more years of use, so it won't be a museum quality restore.

Is this broken?

When I pulled the pto and drive pulley off of my John Deere lx255 and lifted the engine out, I found a small square piece id guess about 1/4in by 1in long . Exactly like the sleeve inside the pto. I’m wondering if this broke off pto or drive pulley. I believe it is used to lock pto to crankshaft. Just a little confused and I lost the small piece. I want to say it’s a crankshaft output key? Can anyone tell me whether mine is broken and if I need that piece? There was another post similar to this I haven’t been able to find. If this is an orderable piece part numbers would be nice as my donor mower does not include pto or pulley so I have nothing to reference.

How to attach JD bag hopper to GT235?

I bought a used power flow system with the chute and bag hopper for my GT235 lawn tractor, but it didn’t come with the hardware to attach it. The hopper is also John Deere but I can’t find any identifying info on it. I am finding conflicting information online regarding what the OEM hardware would look like and possible modifications to newer model hardware. Any help or recommendations is appreciated!

New to the sub! Question/ help

Hello everybody, this is my first post in this sub. I’m new here. I have a d110 not sure the year off the top of my head. It has a 19.5hp Briggs & Stratton engine. It’s been giving me issues with surging upon starting the engine, but would go away rather quickly as I drove it. Today I changed out the carburetor, upon installing the new carb it fired right up and surged for a second but seemed like it was better than it was previously, I mowed the backyard and then let it sit for a few hours to cool down and when I came back out to check it it’s surging even harder than before. Curious if anybody has any recommendations or know what’s going on.

Any help or input would be greatly appreciated

John Deere Z375R

I have a spindle that has sheered off the bearing on the deck assembly. I’m having trouble finding the part number for it. Any help would be great. And if there is something else I need to be looking at for this problem any insight would help.

John Deer Part# M147223 Impossible to find

I’m looking for a air filter cover for a John Deer L110 (JD part# M147223).
It’s a Kohler 17.5 motor CV491S-27509 the part number for Kohler is 12-096-44-S. They are discontinued and for the life of me I can not find one anywhere online or any of my local scrap yards. Anyone have any luck or ideas on where to locate one?
