Will it Work
my new/used (less than 50 hrs.) X370 shut off for the 2nd time, just stops(yes i've got gas). 1st time water filled the bowl under the carb. happened again today, after 2x cutting my acre after removing water. i used heet after 1st one. i've got new gas and using top tier, if that matters. anyway i still have my 15yr old X300 with the 15yr old battered deck but the tractor runs fine. my question is while i'm waiting for the 370 to be fixed can i use the 370 deep 42" deck on my X300. the hook up looks identical but wondering if there's enough clearance for it to work. any help is appreciated also, any idea why mower is just stopping and won't re-crank? thanks

I was mowing a few days ago and saw a spark fly from under my deck to the front tire. Killed the PTO, found that one of the idler pulleys had lost a bearing. John Deere has updated the design, maybe because other peoples were failing as well.
The old one didn’t have a bearing, just balls rolling around a track. I never saw any balls… from the picture, you can see why.
Got me a new pulley today, and it has a real bearing.
