Just unsubbed from religiousfruitcakes due to misogyny

Every other post is the misogynistic vitriol that people spout. I don't want to come to reddit to feel like half the world hates my gender, or that certain religions see women as subservient to men. I love being a woman and would rather fill my feed with positivity.

JU unsubbed from Stupidfood

Just unsubbed from stupidfood. The subreddit has become incredibly inconsistent. They'll wont remove blatant ragebait and obvious clickbait creations, yet delete up genuinely awful food that perfectly fits the sub.

I even reposted the same dish in BalticStates, where people overwhelmingly agreed it was one of the worst examples of "stupid food" they'd ever seen. Meanwhile, on stupidfood, instead of discussing the post, people resorted to personal insults, calling me things like a "traditional food hater."

It's disappointing to see a subreddit that's supposed to be about bad food turn into a place where disagreement is met with personal attacks rather than actual discussion.

Just unsuited from okbuddyviltrum. It stopped being amusing a while back, but this was the final nail in the coffin.

I don't care if the intention was for this to be a joke. You reposted fetishistic art of incest with zero punchline or setup. That is not funny.

Just unsubbed from OkBuddyViltrum because its been turned into an NSFW self-promotion page for its head moderator.

OkBuddyViltrum is the primary meme subreddit for Invincible comics and the TV series with over 190,000 members. Recently, it has become overloaded with pornographic and otherwise NSFW images posted by its moderation team without marking said content as NSFW (despite it being in the rules).

In conjunction with this, the lead moderator slipperswiper, has been using the subreddit as a means of self-promotion (also against the subreddit's rules), by linking his Archive of our Own (AO3) page, which includes some Invincible fan-fiction he wrote. He has gotten the other two moderators in the subreddit to also post this link in every one of their posts.

Typically, these posts are of an NSFW nature and inevitably a commenter asks for the source. The moderator responds in kind with a hyperlink, where the text shows a link to the twitter account it came from, but clicking on it always sends you to their AO3 page instead.

Dozens of people who called this out had their comments almost immediately removed by said moderators, either being publicly or just outright shadow banned. This has been going on for at least several weeks now.

The attached image is particularly stupid, because many of the NSFW posts related to it (Debbie is a character in the story, of which there is a hefty amount of porn of) were done by the moderator team itself. He is only using the promise of promoting people to moderator in order to increase the number of views of his AO3 story. Transforming a shitpost subreddit into a pornfest to get people to click on an unsuspecting hyperlink to his page goes against the spirit of AO3 and is just scummy.

Just unsubbed from KotakuInAction

I saw a recent hot post about how indie games are just as woke as AAA sphere. And holy fuck, comments on that post was so miserable it was truly the last straw for me.
Because the ultimate question is this, would you rather be slightly woke but be someone who gets up and puts great effort and passion into realizing your dream? Or would you rather be someone who bedrots all day on Reddit complaining about how everything is woke?
This whole "woke vs chud" is nothing but the two sides of the same exact coin that is being chronically online. I'm never surfing that miserable ass community again.

just unsubbed from r /childfree. the only place on the internet where calling female children “fuck trophies” is normal

i don’t want children myself so i thought i’d join for some community in that but what i found instead was a sub that’s full of whiney and bitching grown adults who spend what seems like the bulk of their time on that sub demeaning, shitting on, and making fun of children and parents. calling children things like fuck trophies and crotch goblins and parents breeders. and if you call it out your posts are instantly removed.

Just unsubbed from EVERY CYBERPUNK (game) SUBREDDIT because the majority of new posts are regarding people's character appearances.

I joined to see things about the main part of the gameplay, lore, and night city itself, because Cyberpunk2077 is a pretty cool game once you get past the character creation screen and actually start playing it and exploring the world.
After 2 years I can definitively say that I have seen more character slop than actual posts about the gameplay, lore, and night city, and I just don't see any reason to stay subscribed to the subreddit.
The two subreddits are the exact same thing by the way, I joined LowSodiumCyberpunk because I figured it would be more focused on what I'm actually interested in, but again, same exact problem.
This isn't about any NSFW stuff, Cyberpunk is obviously a gooner game but most of these subreddits don't allow NSFW characters. This is more about the fact that these posts are utter slop, it does not take anything to make these characters and to make a post, so obviously the subreddits are being flooded with low effort slop that takes 5 minutes to make. I would much rather see people write up intriguing questions about the lore of the game that actually make people think and share their knowledge about the game world. Or have people share funny clips of uncommon occurrences that can't be recreated in 5 minutes. Or at the very least, have someone take a nice photograph of a location in game using proper framing and filters.
I say the location images are superior to the character images because you can practically make these characters in any game, and they're nothing special at all, what is truly unique to cyberpunk is night city. And it's a such an intricate map that there are hundreds if not thousands of microlocations that would be suitable for photomode, that are all marvelous and didn't take 5-15 minutes to make in an in-game creator.
Hell, I would even prefer actual artwork of people's characters to be made, like digital art or something, because again that wouldn't be fucking slop.

Just US from the Zootopia subreddit

Reason one - That sub should just be renamed to "I like Judy Hopps ass" because every other post I scroll to it's a post focusing on Judy and/or Nick in a sexual or suggestive manner. It's annoyingly horny.

Reason two - GOD FORBID You don't ship Judy x Nick and your opinion is wrong. Guess even if it's canonical you HAVE to love it.

just unsubbed from the trans subreddit

a post i saw about gender envy and being trans

"how do you know when you're actually trans and it's not just gender envy"

it's comment section is filled with blatant misinformation, 'cis people don't have gender envy so you're trans. (there's way more than just the picture

no?? that's just not true

Gender envy is just envy. Wanting certain physical traits, social treatment, clothes, or presentation that the other sex typically has. Cis people can definitely experience it. Men can envy women because of many reasons, Women envy men for many other reasons. Some people take it further into crossdressing as a hobby, aesthetic exploration, or kink. None of that automatically equals being transgender.

sorry for the rant! it's also somewhat reoccuring, best tip for me imo is go see a psychiatrist or a specialist in gender dysphoria and he'll tell you everything you need to know.

Being called a sexist when I’m pointing at that mansplaining is an inherently sexist term

Before you say that “mansplaining” is a perfectly valid and legitimate un-sexist term. I will say that it is needlessly gendered, does more harm than good and 99% of the time is used incorrectly.
It’s unnecessarily gendered and we already have perfect gender-neutral words that have been used for centuries:

Patronizing
Condescending

I would never in my life try and find the female equivalent of mansplaining. You know why? Because I’m not a hypocritical asshole that would use gendered language designed to put down an entire group of people.

Just Unsubbed From Movies

Post questioning the point and viability of IMAX considering its inaccessibility and the fact that the projectors can't handle feature films was deleted after an hour for no apparent reason.

Some personal abuse in the comments (It is Reddit of course) but mostly intelligent discussion of different formats and accessibility. Nothing I'd consider objectionable and the last remotely similar posts were six and twelve days ago so I don't necessarily think it's an overly-discussed topic to the point of meriting removal.

Just unsubbed from technology it’s no longer a tech sub, just a circlejerk for pseudo‑intellectual, neckbeard, anti‑AI redditors.

Couldn't the mods have decided to kill this post before it hit 1000 comments?

The original title was "what “aged” you the most in life?" and it seemed like a good subject to me. I made a comment, and added my two cents worth on a couple of other people's. I've run into this issue multiple times of late, whether from Reddit filters, a bot used by the subreddit mods, or a manual deletion.

WTF? If a post draws 3000 comments and gets 2500 likes, it must be of interest to the people reading the sub. Perhaps the mods should leave it alone.

u/anonyngineer — 6 days ago

Just unsubbed from oneshot. Typical case of mods powertripping, making changes literally not a single soul in the community agreed with, openly saying they'll never walk it back, and posting word salad replies to anyone who tries suggesting this might not be such a good idea.

For a space related to one of my all-time favorite indie games, especially one with such a wholesome community, this is just disappointing to see. I genuinely don't get what made the mods think this was a good idea, especially since everyone is so against it.

I think this sub is phisically unable to feel hapiness

How's possible that a sub made to share designs you like always makes me get angry by all the redditors that act like proffesional character designers trashing on everything that is not an unatractive woman.

And that if my posts even get to stay up for more than 5 seconds, as the mods will delete your posts if all the images are not in full HD 4k resolution (Or if you talk about Fate characters in a possitive way)

Also the "Hated design" thing, that goes against what the whole idea of the sub is and makes it almost as miserable as r/ihatethissmug

Just unsubbed from/muted AI debate subs

Most people can agree AI is getting out of hand and seems to be sparking controversy left and right and of course this leads to debate. I work in a creative field with a company that is stauchly anti-AI and at first it was nice to come on reddit and see people banding together against it in the anti-AI subs, but then I realized there's a formula that happens.

No matter which side you're on, you start at your home base - your echo chamber sub, the one that agrees with your stance. People post brainless takes from the other side, saying "look what these fools are saying this time", everyone gets annoyed at them, enter phase 2.

You then go into the "wars" sub and stir up shit. Saying "pro/anti AI people, how do you justify this?" Then the floodgates open, and the post becomes a shitstorm of bots or asshole rage baiters flinging around the worst takes imaginable that do nothing except make their side look terrible.

You then take the worst offenders and bring it back to your echo chamber where you post a screenshot and say "get a load of this asshole" and the cycle repeats.

Brigading is basically the name of the game for both sides, and for many it serves as an outlet for people to bully people they don't agree with and get off with zero consequence. Basically pure concentrated Reddit sludge.

People will try to call for legitimate civilized discourse on there but it falls apart after like 2 comments because most participants are disingenuous and looking to argue to begin with. No one changes anyone's mind, no one comes away enlightened or more informed, it just serves to piss people off and cause chaos.

Also it's a breeding ground for various psyops I'm sure, but that's a different discussion.

Anyway I had to dip and get it all off my feed. My opinions on AI won't change, I'm not looking to have them changed, and no one else there seems exactly inspired to look at things from a different angle as a result of that "debate" either. It's just a cesspool and there's no point to it so I'm done 🙌

from Caldruki, this subreddit is full of people posting childish r@c!st stuff who think its funny, along with a huge repeat of Israel, freaky stuff and N@3! stuff. What the actual frick?

I think the Caldruki sub overall is lacking of moderation, the edgy people thinking that these images are funny are just childish.
