I was just saying to my wife something like “oh wow John’s playing Big Rock Candy Mountain, I wonder what’s up with that?“ and then he explained the reason — wonderful stuff :)

Ticket purchased! Prices are quite a bit higher than last year and the email says - join us Saturday, August 22nd at Seattle Center for a lineup we can pretty much guarantee you won’t want to miss. 

Any guesses, predictions, or wishes for the not-to-be-missed lineup?

"Cameron Winter’s theatrical croon is bound to stop anyone in their tracks." Actually nothing makes me dive for the mute button faster. I don't know that I've ever loathed any band more and am taken aback every time at my visceral reaction. Anyway, happy for all of you who enjoy them!

Does anyone know any bars or places to dance on Friday that are celebrating WGD? Chop Suey has SHADOWPLAY on Saturday which I think is a missed opportunity

I think I heard the DJ say something the other day about Kurt Vile at KEXP, but I missed it. And it’s not on their calendar.

Anybody know if KV is going to be performing there when he’s in Seattle?
They love him there, so I would assume as much if he’s available.

Not sure if this was talked about on air, but for anyone who might play video games: I just found out that there’s a Sub Pop radio station in the new Forza Horizon game hosted by Abbie and Atticus!

Really cool to see something like this in such a major video game release.

hey everyone, i've been listening to kexp for a while now and i can honestly say it's where i find the best new music. recently, i stumbled upon a few tracks that have completely blown me away. i love how they showcase lesser-known artists and genres that just don't get enough attention. anyone else have similar experiences? what are some of the hidden gems you've found through kexp? let's share our favorites and keep the good vibes going!

Hey there all. I’ve kind of recently got on the KEXP train (maybe for the last 2 years) and it’s been the go to in our house along with our local community station since then. Lately I’ve heard some shout outs to people near me which is so great to see! I’m on the Cape and have heard it come up twice in the last week or so. Wondering if any of you are here too. Might be cool to do a local meet up of like minded souls. Could use a regular listening party or something similar especially over the winters. Cheers all.
